Besides application of the right dosage of fertilizer, there are other factors that affect fruit production: e.g., plant maturity, sunlight exposure, plant variety, presence of pollinators for non-self-pollinating varieties, etc. Though we have covered these other factors in another video, we could have mentioned them here also. hello, based on the video you only apply fertilizer 4x a year. but our dragonfruits produce fruits multiple times a year. so for the 3rd (before flowering) and 4th (fruit developing) will these be only applied for the first flower and fruits of the year? how about subsequent flowers? Is there no longer need for fertilizer

Hi Loreza, thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of information. I have just setup my orchard a few months ago and my plants are almost 3 months old. Can you please guide how much NPK should be supplied to such younger plants till they attain an age of 2 years? I am really struggling with this and I guess palants need nutrition now. You can use the same annual dosage as presented in this video. If you watch the video, you will see that the total annual dosage is applied in four installments. That means, you don’t apply them all at once. The first installment is composed mostly of Nitrogen, which promotes vegetative growth. Nitrogen helps in producing new stems and to make your plant grow faster. Under favorable conditions, if your plant is from a healthy and mature cutting (at least 2 years old), it can produce fruits in less than a year. Take note, your cutiing must be mature. That is, the stem itself, not the mother plant, from which you take the cutting must be at least 2 years old. One can actually make the mistake of taking young and immature cuttings from a young stem of an old mother plant.
