Work doesnt allow me to carry... so naturally at work I use the G42 with Extreme Penetrators and a spare 10rd mag of the same. So 17rds of mini hell on tap.
@@josephbachman1711 I'd rather be fined or in prison than me or a loved one put under the ground. It's why g42 is so good for edc.. it is so thin and small but incredibly accurate for its size.. im a big Sig guy but the g42 is elite for pocket carry
You should chronograph and ballistic gel test those rounds. Never assume ammo will do what the manufacturer claims until you test it. Especially when your life may depend on it!
I thought these bullets were going to be awesome in my GLOCK 42 until I went to the range Then I realized that they don't feed very well They worked great in my 9mm guns because the feed ramp is longer and not as steep of a feed ramp as the Glock 42 Good luck but I wont depend on these to save my life.............Back to Hornady for me and my GLOCK 42
With the .380, it’s not gonna matter what round you use. The .380 FMJ over penetrates the majority of the time, so buying specialty “deep penetrator” ammo is just a waste of money. Second, those copper “screw driver “ bullets haven’t been proven to be anything special over humans, when compared to premium duty ammo hollowpoints. For example, two rounds of regular .380 FMJ into the heart and one into the brain is still “dead.” The issue is shot placement. My employer issues us Federal 99gr HSTs for our 380’s. We don’t use +P nor +p+, because they’re not needed. They just beat the siht out of one’s mouse gun, such as the G42. Now, the .380 HST only penetrates about 10 inches if NOT passing through the “4 layers of denim.” But it expands beautifully. Going into one’s sternum and it will hit the heart long before reaching 10 inches. And if the HST does go through thick clothing first, it doesn’t expand and the HST bullet just acts like a FMJ. Perfect!!! But…. You did indeed score on the price of that ammo, non the less.
Midway USA has had a bunch of defensive ammo on sale or clearance lately. I have had a couple orders recently and some was really cheap and it was all Federal Punch, think some HST, Underwood, Atomic think there was some others too but it was all 9mm and .45 that I bought. The bonded Atomic was really cheap think it was something like $13 a box for 124 grain bonded not sure what bullet they are using exactly think it was 124 plus p. Would have to go look to see for sure.
Problem with Underwood ammo is they use bullets not designed to be pushed that fast and they tend to frag into lots of pieces.... better off with hst or ranger t plus p ....
