I'm extremely excited to see Max back but I'm worried how hard they seem to be retreading concepts with Safi taking Chloe's place. I don't just want a do-over of the first game, I want something new (and with the option to confirm Max and Chloe are together, even if she can't play a huge role for obvious reasons)
It has been theorized that this is Max's redemption arc. The reality she is in at the beginning of the game, the one we are perceiving in the promo materials is not the true reality. The true reality is unveiled at the end where she atones for her choices in the past. Therefore, this game's plot would actually be an *inversion* of the first one.
@SB-yv8uf We don't know any details or what it means for Chloe's involvement yet beyond this but they explicitly let you choose whether you sacrificed Chloe or the Bay in the first game for this one.
You've been a Life Is Strange fan for a long time, so I'm sure you're excited for the new Life Is Strange game, just like me, oh man, this game is my childhood
I'm starting believe the foils who say D9 is just recreating the first game. At worst, they are just playing it safe which i'm ok with but at best... At best they seem to be making a recursive timeline meaning what we are seeing here is Max being stuck in a loop she has not discovered how to break or someone is putting her in one. Massive Theories here mind you... I'm just assuming this based off this whole universe jumping angle they are going and the fact we were told about seeing multiple versions of people. I suspect we are playing another Max with a similar timeline and trajectory or we are our Max but will run into another Max who can help us in someway break the loop or correct time the way we need it..hence Double Exposure. Honestly this game can go in so many ways technically because of these time/universe powers. They might just make a simple murder mystery though. Time already complicates so many things and they might feel its too tough for players to follow.
First thing I thought of when I saw this scene was "...you're not Chloe" 😂 the more callbacks they have to the first game but having Safi in place of Chloe the more I'm gonna dislike this character
someone in the comments said that doesn't feel like choosing safi over the city. i feel the same too. i did it in the first game for chloe. safi seems nice yet she is not chloe.
@@jourdandiaz5814(just a liiiitle joke) SPOILER ALERT! UNAWARE ONES WHO DIDN'T PLAYED LiS 1 PLEASE GO AWAY! . . . . . . yes. i supect that you are lighthouse tries to fall on max and witnessed all endings of the game. . My dude... . . . . . . . YOU ARE A SUPER HERO!!!!!!! 🥰🥳😊😎🤩 please don't try to fall on max again. 😭 may calmness of the seven seas (or how many you enlight) be with you! 🤠
@@jourdandiaz5814 I’m in the same boat. I wanted to like chloe so bad going into the game- we were so starved of WLW content in videogames back then, I played solely for chloe, and then when I played it every scene she was in made me like her less and less. Choosing the city over chloe wasn’t even a thought by the end. Life is strange true colors WLW route felt like an apology for chloe existing 😭
i thought that a cool storyline that could play with both endings (bc even if i prefer the bay, i think both should be equally respected) would be to make max switch from the reality where she sacrificed her to the reality where she chose to save her. she doesn't control when the switch happens but idk what the ending could be bc we've already done "choose Chloe or not Chloe" in the first game. they could always do the 3rd ending they scratched off from the first game where she sacrifices herself but i think noone would be happy with that
You know what? Instead of simply disregarding 1's ending like that, they should, brace yourself, create two games, each one following each ending. It'd be twice as much work (in reality less, because they could reuse a lot of assets), they would earn twice as much money from giga fans (and the same amount from normal fans of one or the other ending) and - most importantly - conclusion of the first game wouldn't just end up as some lines inserted here and there.
Totally agree. I am one of those 50% who have chosen to save Chloe (bc i really loved her and I still do) and when I watched the showcase I felt like mine and 50% of players' choice meant absolutely nothing to deck nine. Besides, this game was the first time in my life when I saw the same-sex couple in the media staying together at the end of the story. Bc people making content in the media assume that same-sex couples tend to break up all the time, that same-sex relationships have less potential than straight ones. This thing pisses me off the most, as a wlw.
And about "much work": they already did this when they were working on lis1 & bts remake and lis true colors at the same time. They definitely have all the resources for that, but they just don't want to use it.
Most fans simply didn't read the comic that continued their story. And I'm afraid that in this part the comic will be ignored. But there Chloe and Max are together
Nice to see you posting again Also a random aside but seeing Chloe reminded me of the BTS playlist you made that got taken down, is there like any way to find that again?
Anyone knows if they will release the episodes over the course of months or will they release the whole game at once? This comes out a few days after my bday, but the problem is I have exams 😭😭
Please respond to anyone who has read the comic with the continuation of the story of Max and Chloe. I feel lonely because of this. It's like I'm the only one reading this. In the comic, Chloe and Max are together, they know that there are many parallel worlds and Max defeats the storm
@@SimmingShowtime-vr1xg Are you afraid that the lore of the comic will be ignored? I am I really don't want to erase the events in the comic from the story.
@@nicefieldSFM Right? Like we only get mentions of them but it will be interesting to include them at some point in time. I know it won’t make a huge impact on the game but it’ll be interesting to see what type of relationship they have with Max. Maybe we’ll even get a little insight as to why they didn’t return to Arcadia bay even for a short trip with Max to visit Chloe or something like that.
I’ve roughly played the original and remastered life is strange games with about 6 or 7 optional pictures taken on them both but still need to play the other life is strange games
