Philippines is the real Avatar! Both land and sea, underwater too.(Tubataha coral gardens and marine sanctuary) in Palawan as well. Palawan-the Philippines last frontier. Described by the late French explorer Jacques Cousteau as the best place he ever saw. Balabac islands in Palawan as well. Chairman Jerry, u delivered again!
Hi Mergim, my boss recommended your channel, he’s one of your subscribers and we just saw you were featuring palawan recently in your travel vlogs. Welcome to Palawan Sir 😊 we are so grateful for your enthusiasm and appreciation to our land so if you needed a car or service for your travel it will be our pleasure to drive your around the city 😊
@@patriciamammarelli3911 Hi ma’am we’re actually not for hire, we just offered free service to Sir Mergim as a token of appreciation for featuring our place in his vlog. If you like, I can help you look for car rentals here in Puerto Princesa. When will you be here Ma’am?
I did the tour with then Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn in 1992 when there were very few "explorers". The experience was awe inspiring to say the least. The long stretch we called the highway tunnel that ends in what looks like St. Paul's Cathedral (that's how it was called then) and those mushroom formations were simply fantastic! Palawan is so blessed with many incredible natural wonders! Mayor Hagedorn hammered what was originally called Bantay Dagat (sea rangers) and Bantay Gubat (forest rangers). As the city's consultant for technical funding affairs then, I helped look for official funding for the Bantays (rangers) to be included in the annual city budget and we moved for its inclusion in the world heritage sites so that maintenance will be done to protect this natural wonder. I'm happy that after many years, the tour has been professionalized. Thank you Mergim for the trip back down memory lane! Thanos for recapturing it for me. Absolutely loved this vlog.
Hey Mergim, I've just did some backtrack marathon watching of your previous vlogs starting from your decision vlog to move from Thailand to the Philippines, up to the your Mindoro adventure so far. I'm still not done with my backtrack marathon watch. But, I could say, I, and maybe we your viewers is/are missing Meya(sorry if her name is spelt wrong) already. I missed her being with you on your great adventures and experiences in your discoveries of our beautiful places and location here in the Philippines. These adventures are really good to be spent and experienced with your loveones or special someone as well. I missed her kind-heart towards children and animals/dogs in particular. I hope we can have her with you again soon, brother. Sending my "Hello" and "Regards" to Meya. Take care always and enjoy there, Mergim! Lovelots to your channel!
This is one of the longest in the world if I'm right it runs up to 8 km long navigable up 1.5 km this is one of the best underground river in the world that's why Palawan pushes it to be under UNESCO world heritage site and even in seven or eight natural wonders in the world!♥️
I’m glad you took the tour for us. I’m Claustrophobic & scared of bats so I least I saw the underground river without having to actually experience it. Btw, sounds like you’re picking up more Tagalog phrases. Good job 👍
I was there in the Underground River last summer 2022. So beautiful! There is also a zipline nearby, you have to climb on top of the Ugong Rock (Rock that make sound).
really love your Vlogs Mergim. you make me realize that the Philippines has more to it than I thought! and it is my home country! keep it up! makes me want to explore my country more than others!
Again the importance of having rubber slippers. 😊 I hope you enjoyed your underground river tour. It's a one of a kind adventure and maybe if you took off your cap, the hard hat wouldn't fall every now and then.

You'll need an entire day just to get to this tour. So if you only have a few days in Palawan, this will prevent you from going to other places. But I love the stop over in Sabang. No need to go pay for that Mangrove trail or Zipline thing. Just go to the beach in Sabang, while waiting for the others going for the Zipline thing. They could probably save more time, if they dont try to UPSELL the Tour by stopping by some place that no one is eager to see. They paid to see the cave and not some mangrove which is everywhere in Mindanao and Luzon.
You are barefoot ! Get slippers if you are going for island hopping. The sand can be hot, also you might step on something sharp and you will get injured . Not to mention ants in the forest area.
