I have a 350 pound rescue pig Liam Hamsworth.. Got him at 4 weeks old .At this point its like having a giant Labrador life is all about belly rubs and treats .

I think most people don't realise that meat pigs have exactly the same behaviours if kept in a natural environment. They are just the funniest happiest creatures ever. I raised pigs most of my life and the thought of 'factory' pigs just makes me so sad. We owe it to them to give them the best life possible while they are here.

I love how the cat is like " I'm cute too! Pay attention to me!"

I have two potbelly rescues of my own, and just thinking about that tiny baby being taken away from mom at three days old breaks my heart. 😭 Pigs are excellent mothers, who will actually sing to their babies while they’re still in the womb. They have complex emotions, and the intelligence of a 3-4 year old human.

Can you imagine a world where these beautiful creatures are all treated like this.

I don’t understand how anyone manages to ever give up foster animals.

In my experience the little ones who are struggling end up thriving when they have a sassy, stubborn personality. They can be a handful when they get healthy. But I swear their personality is what kept them fighting.

Im quite glad they gave him to a good place with open spaces. Shows they are selfless people and care deeply for the animals wellbeing and best interest. I'm sure she visits often, because that's going to be a big boi when he's fully grown.

Pigs are highly vocal creatures. Our neighbors thought we had a duck because she’d wander around the backyard quacking to herself. 😂😂😂 I never heard a proper oink out of her but she could carry on a conversation with you.

Might be an idea to add that cute as they are at this age, they grow into a relatively large animal and there’s no such thing as a “mini”, “micro” or “tea-cup” pig, as some less educated owners have discovered to their, and more importantly to their pets’ , cost.

I used to be frightened by pigs when I was little but that's because whenever I see monsters that look like pigs (like in MMPR) but after watching Babe in the late 90's changed my thoughts on pigs, they're really cute and Blueberry is absolutely adorable I want to hug him. 🥰

I see a couple comments, I don't see how anyone could give up a foster animal, I couldn't give him away. I get that. But maybe she lived in an apartment. Maybe she just couldn't take on that responsibility. She stepped in and took care of this little sweetheart and I have to shout out a big thank you. As hard as I'm sure it was to leave him there , it looks like a wonderful world and he looks very happy, lol. Thank you everyone that helps out the little ones ,and the not so little.

Pigs are such under appreciated, clever animals. I grew up on a farm in the 1960s and each year we got 'spring pigs,' as we called them. The piglets were just adorable. They have distinct personalities.

I would have become attached to him immediately! He's so adorable I would have wanted him for myself.

We have 2 Juliana pigs, and they're the cutest little farts. One was the runt of the litter, and has taken a couple weeks to warm up to me, but he's getting really friendly and not freaking out when I give him a scratch. They're brothers, and just beautiful. We're working on house breaking them by teaching them to use a litter box inside and to go outside. If it wasn't so cold out, we would leave the back door open like we do with our dogs so they can come and go as they please. They may be a big adjustment for a lot of people, but trust me, they're totally worth it.

Animal lovers like you make this world a better place. Love and empathy is what we all need.

I know, that little pig ended up in the most perfect place and it’s what he deserves, and he is obviously very happy. It is very hard to let a foster go, especially such a cute one. 😍 But it’s the truth that it’s the responsible thing to do for them so they can live a life that is good for them all the way around. 💕

I know a million people are going to eyeroll but I believe we should do more to fix the way we consume food. Now, I literally ate bacon _today_ so I'm not on any high horse, but every pig that's in one of those cage pens has just as much personality and life in them as this one does. It's a difficult issue because apart from the fact I love eating meat, I also think having meat in our diets is one of the factors that has led us to such an advanced level of life in the first place. Domesticating animals was an essential step in the path of civilisation. That said, now that we have 8 billion people on Earth and now that everyone has had a taste of modern life which includes lots more meat consumption, we've turned domestication into factory-like operations and although I'm guilty of participating in this system, I think there has to be a better way of getting everything we want. One idea I like is lab-grown meat, because there's so many processed foods that it could replace. It's not meat substitute or vegan or anything - it's real animal tissue (beef, pork, poultry, ect) grown on a big petri dish essentially. Take something like a hotdog from 7-11. Would you really care if it was real meat from a slaughtered animal Vs made of lab-grown meat if it tasted the exact same? I wouldn't. And you could still have a real, genuine steak but rearing actual cattle would become more of a niche thing and real steak might cost quite a bit more, but I'm ok with that if it means billions of thinking, sentient animals aren't horrifically processed inside gore factories. I think we can have a world with cruelty-free bacon, but it's just a matter of political will to change the system. Hopefully one day if we survive long enough our morals will become good enough to overcome these problems.
