This pizza tower fangame is amazing - Sugary Spire 

Heyo, Sugary Spire dev here! Thank you for playing the demo of our game. I'm one of the artists on the game, doing almost all the TV hud animations. We're still working on the full game with the next build being the final game!

Fun fact:It’s when Pizelle cries on the TV screen it’s an obvious reference of that SpongeBob meme

His name is pizzelle, the candy maker. This game is awesome and I love how creative the game is and it’s way of talking horror. Instead of stuff like fake peppino, when you kill the giant gummy bear and activate sugar rush everything gets distorted.

The lore for this game is kinda confusing. There is some lore I saw in a video, but I think it's since been retconned. Pizzelle was originally going to be the Noise who suffered amnesia after getting attacked by Peppino (who became Pizzano in Sugary Spire) after burning down his restaurant for fun, driving Peppino to insanity. But now this just seems to be a simple AU where Peppino and Noise's roles have swapped places and aren't meant to be the original characters themselves. Oh, and Pizzelle is trans apparently.

In short, the character we play as in Sugary Spire is Pizzelle, the Peppino version of the Noise: Anxious, has problems with anger management, all of that. And Peppino is now Pizzano, Noises version of Peppino: OBSESSED with pizza (Thanks, Alimate 0 :) )(Noise hates pizza), bat[crap] insane, and all that. And the meter below your combo is the heat meter, as known in the original PT. When filled, it gave enemies bonus abilities, such as giving the cheeseslimes the ability to swing a baseball bat at the player when close. I don't know the meters name in THIS game, though.

Mike heads up this fangame was made before the steam release, so this build is based on the golf build of pizza tower but they are working on the fangame to this day and making it seem more like the steam release of pizza tower

That beginning sequence where you fall in the floor at the tower entrance was a reference to a demo of pizza tower! What a great detail!

That meter is the Heat Meter! It’s used in demos of Pizza Tower as well and would fill with higher Connie’s, in older versions it would give enemies special attacks, then gave you a points bonus before getting scrapped. Also the juice you slip on comes from killing the lime juice enemies! Also Sugar Rush changes the backgrounds and makes them scary!

although I prefer pizza tower. I always love to see interesting fan games based off of other games!

Fuck, I just realised why Pizzelle keeps eating things (she bites the key, and when Rosette gives her a box of donuts, she licks it), I read the wiki, but I missed the bit with the lore, she's looking for more stuff for her sweetstaurant, she's taste testing them

The animations for the noise are so funny, especially when he uses the rocket. He wasn't the only scrapped character actually, there was also the vigilante and pepperman. There was even a scrapped 2 player mode!

Sugary Spire is basically Pizza Tower but a lot of roles are switched. Peppino is now pizzelle. (S?)he’s just Peppino but looks like noise, and Pizzano, Peppino but with the energetic energy of the Noise.

btw,the only way to play as the noise is either mods or the debug menu Write "player_room character_select A" or something like that idk this room allows you to either play as the noise or peppino this is a leftover of older demos with multiplayer

the slipping was pizzelle's tumble, it's activated by pressing grab twice in rapid succession and is used as a mach 3 starter

That Bar is called the heat meter it makes enemies stronger and harder to hit enemies

Sugary spire is technically a build of the demo sorta, just better in general

pizzy's moveset is very much based off peppino's old moveset; tumbling, rolling (down on slope), and generally quicker on foot.

4:10 man this fangame shows its age the meter up there is an scrapped mechanic called the heat meter it was used in multiple patreon builds before being removed very much hated by the fanbase during 2020, what a time for this games development (and yes this game did have a fanbase before release its 5 years old)

If your time runs out this entity appears by the name of coneball which is similar to pizza face and it can instantly remove your points 0.1 seconds or something that if you touch him. You will die and it was similar to the peppino times up
