Jacob Estey founded the Estey Organ Company in Brattleboro in the late 1900s. Employing over 600 workers, the company was one of the largest manufacturers of reed organs in the world. The Estey Organ Museum celebrates the history of the company which closed in the 1960s.

Back in the mid 1960s, my father came into a banker's box of papers. It was from an estate sale on Long Island, NY. The contents were cancelled checks and business documents of the Estey Organ Company. I am sure my father found some place to donate the papers.
