You guys should visit Lake Tahoe during the Shakespeare festival. They hold plays on the lake and you can bring your own picnic to enjoy during their live performance. All held during the summer.

I like to stop by at Erick Schat's Bakkery every time on my way to the June lake area for camping & fishing in the summer and on my way back home. Going to be nice up their this year with the lakes all full for getting the boat in & out of the water. If you stop by Erick Schat's Bakkery again you should get a loaf or two of their Chili Cheese Bread, it's really good heated up.

Lake Tahoe is also amazing in the summer. Take a boat out to the clear waters and have a nice swim

I went to Mammoth Lake for a Wedding. We got lucky no snow, and sunny. Literally the day we were leaving hrs later rds were closed and only 4x4 vehicles were allowed.

You should have moved to the Reno area of Nevada instead of Las Vegas. That way you could still enjoy the beauty of NorCal.

There is plenty of preserved wilderness and nature in the US, like A LOT, that's the whole reason for national and state parks. So cutting through a mountain to a make road that BENIFITS society isn't really bad at all. It's called progress and it's called being the domiant species on this planet, we can manipulate Mother Nature if we want to. And mother nature should be grateful that humans are the ones with this ability because what other species would give a damn enough to even consider nature and wilderness like humans do, especially when we don't have to.
