No disrespect at all, Hidalgo played really great, Fed did some unusual wrong choices and mistakes, but Hidalgo played great, then he choked for closing the game, Fed was then playing VERY solid and took his chances.
wrong up 4-0 and played recklessly going for a front tweener winner against roger when it was not needed like it was a foregone conclusion. you are so wrong
Hidalgo got cocky and careless up 4-0, going for a front tweener on Fed acting like he didn't have to play like we was playing in the second set and the first half of the third, that's the disrespect, acting like a comeback wasn't possible, the funny thing is at 4-1 up in the tie breaker Roger did the same front tweener from the baseline but he actually made it, touche rog!!!
I remember this match for 2 reasons - Roger playing like crap and winning from 1-5 down in the 3rd...and it was the only time I could remember seeing Roger slip on clay and get dirty. Otherwise he always looked nearly as clean coming off a clay court as when he started the match.
Big difference between Rogers tweeners and this one. Roger hits them when he has little choice chasing down a ball. This guy had plenty of time to play a regular shot but chose to go out of his way to attempt a tweener
@@adamharte6546 I don't mean the tweener when the player is running back to the baseline. That's a legitimate shot, but the tweener during a normal rally, like the Spanish player hit. I've seen Roger hit tons of those.
@@jeffrey3498 Cant recall roger hitting a tweener like that ever apart from maybe the one against Henman but even then he was caught out of position and had little choice. Happy to be proven wrong if he has though
@@adamharte6546well said and that’s what separates roger for other talented shot makers. It’s that he hits those shots only when he needs to. Which in my opinion makes it a lot more fun to watch.
@@adamharte6546 I do recall, but I love Federer too. My favorite player ever. I don't think the tweener the Spaniard hit bothered Roger at all. It was click bait by the RU-vid poster.
@@initialize21 😂 I have to go with Pete Sampras over the Fedal copers! The long-reigning pre Big 3 GOAT has said it clearly and his voice comes from a place of authority and experience that nobody else has; Djokovic "he is the greatest of all time". " He did it at a time where he dominated Roger and Rafa, and he handled the next generation of players very well - all at the same time."
