I live here in Dawsonville. The locals and even myself because i moved here as a child don't question it and we find it normal. Like it's kinda odd the amount of graveyards that are beside playgrounds here in Georgia.
It's a thing I've encountered all around the South. I used to live in Dawsonville, myself and I also don't remember anyone finding it to be strange - heck , it's peaceful.
