This video is a *perfect* way to promote the TCG. I think people forget that they are not *just* rare collectible cards. It's a game. A pretty awesome one, in fact.
Agreed was just thinking the same thing! Ive been playing the actual game a lot more, we just kinda carefully shuffle toploaders lol and use full toploader sets, so we can keep the integrity of the game and not risk any damage
@@Yolorub_vids i started collecting a few years ago too, and id say about a year ago i gave the game a shot. ive only played the online game but i assume its a great way to start playing the game. all the code cards you get in a booster pack gives you a pack on the online game
@@romdozer I feel that, I always sold mine or traded them for actual cards, I think online the advantage is that it's way faster, and there is no risk in damaging your real cards! Just a random idea Ive had but, wouldn't it be great if there was a way they could give us credit for all our physical cards to use online? Like, if every card in your pack also came with a tiny code on it to unlock the exact card? THAT right there would be just incredible!
Can we all just appreciate and recognize that these guys were actually true Pokémon champions❓🤯 I mean they had to accumulate a set amount of points before being eligible for an invitation to tournaments❗️❤️🔥🙌🏼 Mindblowing❗️❤️🔥💫✨✨
Love Mystery Box videos! Edit: This box is incredible! I've never seen or heard of some these cards before and the holo foils on some were really cool to see. Thank you Ray and Dylan!
I haven't played Pokemon in years, I grew up semi-well-off and never hurt for anything but never had a lot of people to play with. I remember when the show released, I would sit in front of the TV for hours, the adventures of the cast kept me mesmerized. My father was angry marine who struggled with substance abuse, and my mom left us early on. But Pokemon offered an escape, I wish so badly I had gotten the chance to have the tcg adventure as a child, seeing this box was great, it gave me a peer into a world I could never truly see
Those energy’s with the cross hatch are beautiful 🤩 Great video. Awesome mystery box. Well done and all the best to the TCG players. Thank you for sharing
To date this is the most epic mystery box I have ever seen on RU-vid. Is definitely an honor and a privilege for you to be a part of that. Dylan and Ray did an amazing job putting this together, a view to the TCG. Great job Pat!
New to the channel. This video popped up in my recommended videos. I am very new to Pokemon TCG. In my childhood I played the red pokemon Gameboy game and had a few cards but lost interest. A month ago I returned to Pokemon due to general interest in the fandom. My collection is small and I don't have a deck yet, I'm thankful for these videos so I can learn about the fandom that I'm falling on love with more and more everyday. Thank you.
Man!!! You know someone has seriously, for real, no joke, big dogs!, has gone ALL IN, on collecting when they started near the very beginning of the biggest Pokemon hype EVER and bought just about every product that still exists, sealed!!!!!!!!! Like holy cow!!! I think Pat found some special ways, people, and deals!!!! Because if he started around 2018, he didn't have a lot of time before everything got real expensive!!!!! Amazing!!!!
Beautiful Umbreon Wonderful display of the colourful history of the competitive scene! Looking like your Staff Collections looking pretty Thicck Pat! Congrats
wow this was very awesome got the show us all what its like to be a tcg winning legend from kicking butt an taking cards and trophys i gotta say this was my fav opening of all time pretty sweet !
I loved seeing all of this... and it was by far the coolest pokemon mystery box i've seen on youtube. The only issue for me is that all of these items symbolize a story... a past... a portion of their lives, and I can't help but think that this is a bit near sighted on their part because one day they will have children to tell those stories to. Children who won't get to look through all the spoils from the championships or possibly happen upon them and ask about them. I'll be happy to eat crow if i'm wrong and these are all merely duplicates of items they had too many of already... please let me be wrong.
What an incredible box, I recently started building my deck and I'm so damn excited to play! Sadly there just aren't many competitions near me, so I don't know if I'll ever be able to get enough points or any at all to ever go to a regionals or something like that...
This was awesome to watch from a fellow TCGplayer who has won two city championships and from winning cities you also would get play Mats on top of the other awesome rewards you would get for winning and I have Both a zoroark and tapu Koko city championship playmats
Ok so I’ve got to say, that was the single most informative, educational and amazing piece of Pokémon content I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Thanks so much for putting this together and thanks to Ray and Dylan for their kindness. This has further ignited my love of Pokémon Cards (like I even needed any more fire) I literally had no idea that there were cards like that out there!! Thanks dude, epic video!
The text inserts made this box SO much more dope! A literal guided tour through the history of Pokemon TCG. As a player/collector, this box made me amped to watch, and hats off to the two that put this awesome box together!
Yeah this mystery box should definitely go down in poké history , it carries much more than just mystery, it’s literal Pokémon TCG history❗️this isn’t a normal box at all dude 💫✨✨😍😍🤯🤯
Huge hits! Best mystery box, nice job everyone involved great to see all the support. So much info, it was a great glimpse into another side of the Pokémon world!
This was awesome! Just as amazing as winning all of these goodies, it’s impressive how much thought the Pokémon company puts into creating these promo cards/items!! Lastly, when it comes to cards, there is no such things as catching Em all! Sorry!
These are BY FAR, my favorite videos to watch. Thank you so much for going into the history of the game and sharing such vivid details. Thank you Pat for the excellent editing and commentary as always, and congratulations and thank you Ray and Dylan for creating this and for providing the writups and information! I really love the journey/story aspect of how you put this box together and it is so awesome that you included such important items to give a sense of what it is like to be a part of that journey. I wish you all the best and thank you, sincerely.
Didnt know your channel but this video was recommended by youtube, its quite the trip down memory lane, especially the Vancouver worlds which was the first non-US based worlds event (location is close to the TPCi office in Seattle in case of emergency) and I was the masters HJ for the event. I absolutely adored the mystery numbered bag system with the cards detailing every step a player takes to get to the very top, youve absolutely earned my sub today good sir.
wow, that trophy was sick :D so cool. but so many awesome cards us normal deadly people will never own or atleast win :D great video once more my friend and keep up the good work. me and my son loved this video of so many awesome rare cards :D PS: loved to see those pop packs. almost finished a complete sealed collection from 1 to 9 (just missing the 5 ofcourse)
And you get to keep this stuff!?!? If so wow best $5k ever spent..... what a video...what a collection... what a story.... amazing stuff.... as always 👏!!! ❤️
This video is really great, makes me want to start learning how to play the TCG! I'm 30+ years old, can I join Pokemon TCG tournaments or do I have to train my daughter to become a Pokemon master now at her ripe age of 2?
This is absolutely amazing. Soo damn cool to see two of the best give back to the community and share their journey. Thank you Ray and Dylan you guys are truly amazing.
This is like lowkey craziest unboxing video ever all this history hopefully you appreciate this from ray solid guy to share all this with you and your fan base man
Alright. This is super cool. My only hope is that Pat started focusing on playing more, of course when the events come back. Playing the game doesn't mean that you don't get to enjoy your favourite Pokemon, or Pokemon in general. I know a ton of people who collect and play simultaneously. I wish more people could get into playing, as it's soo much more fun that just ripping packs etc.
