Awful. I just discovered Velotric as this amazing low-cost option, but now I'm priced out. Their bikes cost more *on a discount* than they used to normally 😭

@freshlycharged The only good advice right now is... NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY, from... PLACES THAT STILL HAVE THEIR LAST LOAD OF INVENTORY AND/OR PERHAPS IF YOUR ORDERING SOMETHING THAT'S ON BACKORDER AT THE MOMENT.

Turn off the throttle limit in the menu. Then you can go max speed regardless of the assist level you have selected.

can you adjust the acceleration rate in each PAS setting? My wife and I are in our 60s and haven't ridden our mtn. bikes in about 12 years and are looking into ebikes. I feel fine on the one I tried but my wife will need to ease into it a bit more so I think having a slower acceleration rate while she is a beginner might be helpful vs. a sudden burst of power. I hear what you're saying about throttling in the zero setting, but I think for a beginner its a good safety measure to have that one setting where you can only ride under you own power. My only other concern from your written review (yep, went there) is parts availability.

First off, thanks for a detailed and thorough review of the D2!! However, how in the way is the brake cable with the front basket attached? You guys were the first to call this out and ITS A HUGE MINUS if there is not a decent work around. Can the brake cable problem be fixed by running it through the open grate of the front basket? I am ready to buy the D2 but the brake thing might be a deal breaker. Also, do you guys have an assembly vid of this bike or have a link to one? Thanks for everything!

D2 owner here - Software has been updated recently to allow rider to switch between torque sensor and cadence sensor modes. Cadence gives extra acceleration and top speed at the cost of more battery use. Short trips go cadence, long trips go torque. Best of both worlds.

I tested drove one today and was very impressed. Price now is $1899, which is still not a bad price compared to other E-Bikes. I think I'll be purchasing the Velotric Discover 2. Thanks for the review

I bought mine two weeks ago, I have not one complaint this bike is perfect. I’m 62 years old, and I have a little pug that I put in a basket on the rear of the bike she loves it. I love it no complaints.

How well does the Discovery 2 operate on dirt roads or trails?

The throttle not working at zero PA is a bummer. A safety thing, I get it since people want the throttle to work from a dead stop, this PA requirement is to prevent an accidental throttle surge when the rider is not mounted but the bike is powered up. However, a cadence sensor will normally allow throttle at zero PA but then again, its a cadence sensor which is normally not preferred.

Hi freshly Charged! What E bikr would you guys suggest me to buy? i want to spend maximum of 4000 Cad and i think Nami burn e2 32 amp battery is great but not sure because it's so old model, and i saw Inmotion Midnight lite and i think I'm going to buy it, do you guys have other options? i need a good scooter that has great acceleration.thanks

If you guys ever make your way to Pueblo I just received my roadrunner RS5 Max and I have a “newest” model emote cruiser s I’ve found it strange how roadrunner is based in Denver and I believe so are you should have a good collaboration with them but hey what do I know but again if you ever what to review any of these I’m not too far away love the videos guys ride safe

I just bought a Discover 2 from a LBS and I’m waiting for it to arrive. You mentioned in your video not being thrilled with the cable management. Do you think it would be easy to organize those with a cable wrap for a cleaner look?

You can definitely get some cable management cordage to clean up the look.
