I also give some kind of a plus to the fact he's going to be working with Amari and that's a totally different level of "if you want to be a professional you do it this way, so tighten up" than he's had before.

He may need some such leadership. However I'll always remember that Week One game against Seattle in '22. Hackett needs to be blamed for calling to go for it then for some incomprehensible reason, turned his attention away from the field. But it was _Russ_ who trotted off the field after it was too late to change anything & begged Hackett to go for the FG instead & Jeudy's jaw dropped when he watched Russ do that. So I think he lost a lot of his desire to play for the team or with Russ right there in the First Game. I'll also point out something you missed. Not sure if it's _all_ play-calling, but every route is Jeudy faking inside to go out, never the other way. Is this Jeudy or...? Because it may have been the Broncos knowing Russ doesn't throw to the middle of the field, or Jeudy's inexperience.

^This! It's like we each made a bet on what was wrong in Denver. We think it was Russ, Steelers think not-just gives the upcoming season that much more spice! GO BROWNS!

@@smercxz No. Fields got blamed for things that weren't even _close_ to being his fault. Even before he ever took a snap in the NFL they said "he can't read defenses." You know what else happened before he took a snap in the NFL? Someone statistically proved he reads defenses at a higher level than all other QBs in the draft. (I _can_ link this but prefer not to put potentially rival content creators' works onto other channels without the host's permission). Then his NFL career started. Blame Nagy all you want but of his 10 INTs in his first year 3 hit Mooney in the hands, one is a receiver falling down, another him thinking he had a free play but the refs didn't call the off-sides everyone else saw & another was a receiver giving up on the route. So right away, over half weren't truly INTs. Then Came Matt Eberflus. Right away a change can be seen. While Fields had to make the most of what he had, we _see_ him threading incredible passes at weird arm angles into tight windows just missing the out-stretched arms of defenders. Normally you'd have to look at Rodgers' Brees' or Dan Marino highlights to find this. But his passing is élite. In '22 the play-calling changes & while everything was excused as "having to simplify the offense for Fields" remind me again why he *needed it* simplified? Because his receivers sucked? That's Matt Canada-level thinking right there, saying that his team wasn't built to come back & win games so he didn't try, even though Pickett had several such wins in his first year. So again, what was said was said, but wasn't true. Don't forget, Fields made the Bears the #1 offense for _three weeks straight _*_BEFORE_*_ they acquired D.J. Moore._ & here's what he had to deal with *while* doing that, that No Other QB In The NFL had to: 1) his own o-line *consistently allowing* defenders through totally unblocked (again, I'll link it if this channel's host says okay). 2) Being ordered to Not Throw to certain receivers on certain plays, even if they get open. Even if they're the Only Receiver to get open. While this has never been openly said to have been the case, the fans all knew this because the first time Fields tucked the ball back in & ran after spotting an open receiver, he did so in such a way everyone thought he must have gotten concussed & we didn't see it. But the Bears didn't take him into the blue tent. Then he did it again. & they still didn't take a look at him. This gave it away that *they **_KNEW_* he wasn't concussed. & how could they possibly have known this without checking unless he was carrying out those plays As Called? So the Bears saw their entire offense die because of calling these plays & said "this is what we want" & kept calling for him to not throw. To receivers. To Open Receivers. & yet he still made the lowly Bears the #1 offense in the league _while_ they sabotaged him. Now he's on a team with a receiving corps about as talented as that one was. Yes, Pickens is better than Mooney, bu 2, 3 tiers. But he's the Only Receiver of any note now. How tf is he gonna get open when aside from the far slower Freiermouth, they can 4X cover him? & I don't know if Tomlin can assess QB talent, but we know Arthur Smith can't. so is Fields even ever going to get a chance to start? Unlikely. But he doesn't suck. If they stick with Russ, I imagine any team trying to contend that has an injury at QB will try & get him. _Or_ the Giants might get desperate. But they've so royally undermined his career that he may never get a chance to start again.

Also subscribed, because I really like you owning showing the good and the bad of whoever you're reviewing. That is important and rare, so my suggestion is to focus on that and you'll start to grow your brand.

Just watch Amari Cooper highlights from this year...at least a dozen "no way he caught that and kept his feet in bounds!" Jeudy will learn to drag the foot....

I have no problem with the Jeudy trade or even the contract. It's cheaper than what Ridley got as a FA and Jeudy is 5 years (4 at the start of the season) younger than him. I feel that AB and Stefanski have earned a bit of our trust (it's reeeeally hard to give as a Cleveland fan). They have been studying him and wanted him for almost two years. They hopefully have a plan to use him. People have compared this to the Elijah Moore trade where he didn't quite live up to expectations. 1) That did cost a 2nd rounder, so obviously way more than Jeudy. Plus, I've actually been watching the game highlights from 2023 and Moore was really becoming a target of Watson's before he got injured - also in the last couple of games Flacco started hitting him as well.

The situation in Cleveland with (hopefully) the same quarterback and not a season-long "will they or won't they" (not to mention the travesty of 2022) for an entire season before Wilson was kicked to the curb has to be at least somewhat of an improvement.

Small detail - for every play you should put the green dot over whatever player you're dissecting. At times you'll say things like "On this play Jeudy is in the slot." Now I absolutely know what you mean, but there's a massive audience of people who want to understand football better, yet don't know which player you're talking about.
