Apex and Overwatch actively competing to see who can have the worst ranked systems in modern gaming. We'll see how OW handles their ranked reset though, if it actually helps fix things.

they should try and make the on fire affect and the nano affect look different because thats the one I mix up most often when having a Mauga/Ashe

The answer is money sadly. Noobs/new players are more likely to buy skins if they reach a high rank. Vets of OW and Apex are less likely to. Plus its still the holidays, there is a chance to tweak things before the "regular" season.

I wouldn’t know bc I’m banned from rank for the whole season bc I keep randomly getting kicked and when it decides to not do that my bad ping disconnects me 🥲
