I can relate to Kayla’s sigh about the fishing pole. We live in North Idaho. When my husband goes out on his bass boat you would think he had five people fishing with him, lol!
I like to plunder so yard sales are up my alley!! Guessing that’s why I like your channel. Could the rod maybe go in your booth since you will be doing a meet and greet next week?? Just an idea. Thanks for sharing
the "case" on the canteen was a cup. It had a couple of handles on it that fold out to form one handle. You could also use it to boil water in and such.
I see, on eBay, many people selling expired cologne and such but they call them vintage. Isn't that the same? Expired and old/vintage? Any cosmetics that are vintage would be expired!
I am 75, and whatever I am looking for is usually right in front of me...or on top of my head, if I am searching for my eyeglasses! I feel your pain! 🤓
OMG, I rewound trying to see why you didn't ask about the bubble wrap! Yes hyper focus is what happens. I'm training my son to look over items when I hand them to him for holes, stains, wear etc.
my mom and dad had that luggage set when I was a kid in the 60's. Maybe you can sell some of your rods local on Nextdoor or other local buy and sell groups
Great pickup on the Alvey Reel. Made right here in Brisbane, Australia. VERY good reels that never break down, used for surf fishing. They are very sturdy reels, you can drop them in the sand and rinse it off in the surf with no operational impact on the reel.
If you are near any kind of convention center (or hotels) with large conference centers, you can usually get bubble wrap for very little or free after set up. If it has tape on it, it’s very easy to remove if you remember tape only releases easily in one direction. Same with labels or tape on just about anything .
Kayla, I see that Illusion puzzle moving in the center. Kind of creepy if you were putting it together. I think it would hurt my eyes if I sat looking at it too long.
hey, kathy from random boutiques, in Market Common, i just watched video where you were talking about ebay being 13% ish & yes Posh is 20%… but did you know that Mercari is 0% selling fees now.. not sure how long it is for, but has been for awhile now.. i’m doing better on Mercari than posh at moment.. just wanted to let you know.. kathy
You probably already know this but when I find something like that wallet that has the price on the tag, I will put a little bit of nail polish remover (100% acetone) on a Q-Tip and it normally always wipes off then I'll rub over it with a Q-Tip with water. Love watching your videos as always.
The items with that canteen are a canteen cup - they sell from $12 to $23 depending upon condition. The thin metal that is slipped over the canteen cup is a stove that used solid fuel tabs/bars you should be able to get $5 for that the can itself is probably only worth $2, depends upon smell inside. If no smell you should be able to get a $5 maybe-
I saw the bubble wrap, and I was yelling at you but it didn’t work this time! 🤔I can’t for the life of me think why. I was like, he’ll see it. Maybe he saw it and it was priced too high! 🤷♀️
I got that same Yeti in white for myself. Great finds! Kayla doubted you on that reel. Lol. Sell the rod locally. I'm sure theres some demand down there near the coast.
I think missed a few good golf clubs in the bag. There looked to be a few more callaway xr irons in there. Unless, they weren’t in very good condition?
Alvey is the best fishing gear in Australia. Awesome find! You should try it 😂 and yes we fish off the rocks and can even catch sharks so you need heavy gear. I live in Queensland Australia.
Would it be cost effective to learn how to regrip golf clubs? What would it take in time and materials to do it to increase the price of the clubs you sell?
I've been watching you for a while and I have a question. If you get an item at an auction and you need to verify it, how do you do that? Do you have a guy that you go to or do you wing it?
Funny story, just started fishing a couple of years ago and my brother gave me one of those inexpensive Shakespeare fishing real. So I ran out and got myself a Shakespeare fishing pole so that I can fish off the dock at the lake where I live for the small and large mouth bass on Black Lake in Thurston County, Washington State. I'll be danged if I didn't misalign the pole sticking it in the back of my truck and rolled up the electric window and snaped the top of it off. DANG!.... So I put the rod on another pole and sure enough it malfunctioned and I looked down and one of the knobs had a crack in it so I couldn't tighten it for the correct tension. Needless to say it was junk. Before my brother's passing away he gave me another nice Rod but no reel. I did however go out and get a new fishing reel that was very inexpensive. That hummer can cast out a long long long long long long ways from a bank. So sure enough I'm all set up now. This summer I have already caught a couple of rainbows / Kokanee from Summit Lake on my Kyak and I scarfed those things down. They were 12 and 13 and a half inches and the most tender barbecue on mesquite fish you ever ate. Stuffed them with onion and lemon slices along with a tiny bit of Johnny's seasoning salt. They were lucious and I ate them all myself with some BBQ roasted corn. Before his passing, my brother taught me how to safely kayak on lakes, do some surf fishing as well as learning how to go crayfish/crawdad trapping on the Deschutes River. Needless to say, he helped me acquire a lot of skills to enjoy in my retirement :-) Previously I had commented to you about golfing and you said you and Kayla started golfing. It was fun watching you pick through the golf clubs again. Wishing the very best to you and Kayla and I'm so thankful you have so much in common in terms of the reselling. Many blessings sent your way! Granny ang in WA state🍎🌤☔️😀
You remind me of my late husband, he loved to fish. Our first date was a fishing trip. The first gift he bought me was a fishing rod. Nice score on that fishing rod and reel.
Nice finds as per usual. You always find some really cool items and come to find out they are worth a lot of money. Great work have a fantastic week ahead ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
No yard sales for me this weekend. Instead I had a yard sale and tossed my three totes of ebay items in it. Did pretty well and managed to empty a tote and consolidate down to two totes.
I'd be taking that surf fishing rod to the pier somewhere to hook a tarpon if I was south more. 😊😅 Unfortunately this ginger would probly melt down there this time of year.
I would think fishing rods would sell well in your booth. Visitors on vacation may not even know they need an awesome new rod and/or reel until they see it hanging in your booth.
Pretty sure the eyes on the rod would make it hard for the spool to unwind even if a fish was going sideways because it would still be pulling out line from the eye location.
They are a side cast rod, spool turns on the spindle 90 degrees, the first guide is usually half way down the rod blank and are not as big as you would think.
@karenyoung1759 He says something like: if you haven’t subscribed yet subscribe, like share and comment down below. And remember I will always catch you [thunk!] on the NEXT one!
FYI your canteen is in the cup and the metal part with the holes is the stove. Set the cup on the stove over a fuel tab (or a small ball of burning C-4) and make your coffee or to heat shave water. Don't drink out of the same cup you shave in. It makes your coffee taste funny.
My late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet
If you want to find the most incredible deals, go to yard/estate sales in very wealthy neighborhoods. I got a deal last weekend that was so incredible, im shaking from it. I originally saw nothing that really interested me until I saw for sale sign on a Mercury 50hp outboard. I asked the owner about it and he said it was a 2015 and he was getting ready to replace it due to the age of the motor 😮. It was touch key start and a 4 stroke. It only had 587 hours on it and he was the original owner. He said its out of warranty and he just doesn't trust such an old outboard. He actually told me that he felt that it would last many more years if I had it rebuilt 😮😮😂😂😊😊😊 I got the motor for only 900.00!!!(I didn't dare think of the word negotiate!). I had to remove it myself with the promise of not leaving a mess or damaging his boat. I told him I would not leave a trace or a single scratch, and I didn't.... The motor runs flawlessly and is the greatest deal i have ever gotten.
Hi I'm from Sydney Australia and that rod and reel are used for beach fishing. When casting the line you turn the reel to the right so it is straight forward facing the water then turn it to the left when finished. Happy fishing.
How much for the "Little" item, when the item is large! 😂😂😂 How much for the Little thing here! 😂😂😂 When you know the item is expensive 😂 little is the key word to get a steal of a deal😉
