Ronnie's mom left him and his brother when Ronnie was very young and she has never been a part of his life. He was raised by his father. The original Last Resort was by Papa Roach and this is Ronnie's reimagined version of that song. You should check out the original song to see the difference.

Ronnie's been thru abandonment, by his mom, the death of his brother Anthony, drug addiction, kicked out of his 1st band and went to prison.He overcame it and his career is bigger than its ever been. Altho he still suffers from depression. He's actually been in.the music scene since around 2006.

Sorry for your loss. I know it's tough. My Dad passed in 1988 at just 42, I was 21. My mom just passed a few months ago. Losing our parent, despite it being inevitable, is so hard. The worst part for me is my mom and I were never close. She was always closer to my brother. The relationship between her and i was a very contentious one, therapy required. But in the last three years i was able to be there as a caregiver, and we were able to heal all the old wounds. And, though we would never have that mother daughter relationship, we were able to have a new relationship, as grown women. Maybe you can't see her reaction, but she sees. Keep an open mind and heart because she may have already been trying to let you know.

The original song is by Papa Roach (Last Resort) -- But I believe that because of everything Ronnie has been through, he personally related to this song, which is why I think he decide to reimagine it.

Original song 🎶 was written by lead singer Jacoby of Papa Roach and Falling In Reverse was recently on tour with them, I saw them on that tour with Hollywood Undead! I put there full concert 🎶 footage up! The original is upbeat and Jacoby wrote this powerful song about his friend and roommate at the time, they found him and took him to the hospital and he was in mental facility for awhile but did get better! The original reached millions, it was like letting it all out through your anger and venting that feeling out, Ronnie stripped the lyrics down and back to the emotional raw feeling of crying out for help because your in so much pain will anyone even notice if I was gone, it’s a desperate cry for help when you react that point. Please react to Ronnie showing Jacoby this song for the first time, it’s worth the reaction! I think Ronnie chose this song because it meant something to him, he never had his Mom in his life from a very young ago on. Im sorry for your loss. Nothing compares to losing a parent you love no matter the age. I can empathize, i lost my mom when i was 6 and while i ended up with female role models i could look up to later in life, theres always been a gaping hole in my soul because of what she missed out on in life. The pain never truely ever goes away but eventually with time, it will dull and fade and you will be able to look back on the memories you do have with fondness even in spite of the loss. I hope you are doing a well as can be and my thoughts are with you.

This is a cover of the Papa Roach's song " Last Resort" the frontman Jacoby Shaddox (?) asked for a 20 year anniversary cover and Ronnie showed him his version and he loved it. The original is very hyped, this version is more emotional to me.

I’m so sorry you lost your Mom, you must have been really young because you look pretty young now. It must have been really hard adjusting to go on with life w/o her, especially since you were close. She obviously did a really good job as a Mom when she was here because you seem like a very nice, kind, empathetic human. You still have a lot of life ahead and you’ll find that you WILL be able to love that hard again. 💜. Really enjoying your reactions.

I love this reimagining of the Papa Roach song, but FIR also has redone a couple of their own songs about a decade later than the originals - The Drug in Me Is You and I’m Not a Vampire both in 2011, then The Drug in Me Is Reimagined (2010) and I’m Not a Vampire (Revamped) (2011).

So imo the original by papa roach is a teenager who is really angry at the world around them and FIR'S version of the song is an adult screaming for help from the world around them!!! Great cover!!!

i understand. i lost my dad 20 years ago. i still have my mom, but luckly i found my wife. she is my staple.

Ronnie's mum was a drug addict and left the family when Ronnie was still a baby. His father was also using drugs and drinking (he became sober when Ronnie was a bit older) so I'm sure his upcoming was very rough. He's getting along fine with his dad but has still no contact with his mother.

Ronnie has had a rough life. His mom left him at a young age. Ronnie was addicted to drugs, has been to prison, and has been falsely accused of some awful crimes. His story is pretty wild. He's a great guy though. Don't believe everything you hear, because he has alot of haters.
