Whatsapp should have an option to allow only contacts to call you. This is a must have option for your privacy. An option for locking down all communication except contacts would also be appreciated, considering it can be used in devices of senior citizens who aren't tech savvy, and are more prone to fall for these kind of scams.

Thank you for making people aware of these scams!! I already knew about this but there are a lot of innocent people specially elderly ones who fall into these traps easily because of unawareness!!

I had similar experience like this but they call me for applying for job and not accepting it so he was saying ki apka chalan laga hai i thought he was talking about vehicle chlan so i ask him for my bike number than he said that its about not accepting job ( probably got my number from site like quikr or naukri ) then he ask me for my location i didn't tell him about that also asked for his information so he said I'm from cyber police Orissa (true caller was showing same location) than i asked him about his batch number and service number than he kept saying tell me ur location first then after some time he cut the phone and didn't call me

So something like this happened with my friend's friend. An important point to note is that this happened in the USA. My friend is from India and his friend was from some other country. He paid 1000 dollars for it just because he didn't want any issues with his studies and didn't wanna get kicked out. This really puts some people in a bind because the stakes are pretty high to lose. All he did was attend a video call and he got framed in the mess. For this, I would suggest informing authorities ASAP and do not pay them because they will keep on demanding more and more money.

Chahe aapne bhale hi content ke naam pe kiya ho ya subs badhane ke chakkar mein, woh yahan matter nahin karta. What matters is the full disclose of what happens in such scams which is very common in this day and age of technology 👍🏻

This recently happened with my mother and one of my friend. One takeaway from those experiences is never fear them, they feed on your fears and NEVER pay them a single rupee

Same story has happened with one of my friend he got trapped from facebook, scammer tried his best and demanded money my friend has shared with me i have told him not to get fear or get panic than i have scammed that scammer by behaving like cyber crime branch officer...😂😂 All thanks to youtubers like you sir who keep on sharing something extra everytime rather than just giving videos for entrainment or for views or subscription.... A similar scam happened to me. They were in a police uniform and asking for money and saying they're calling me from Delhi.

Some so called greatest tech channels are doing paid unboxing and even without giving device details!!And here sir is helping everyone such a great gesture and human being!!!

The same happened with my friend's younger brother & he has given away 18,000 before telling us. There's nothing to be ashamed of if you are being blackmailed or bully, it's better to reach out for help 👍

These types of scams are going on for a long time, one of my friend from college got scammed like this on Facebook back in 2015. This topic needs to be discussed more. Thanks for making this video, hopefully it helps a lot of people.

I had also got this kind of honey trap message from an unknown number in whatsapp, and she started the conversation that she wanted to talk to me for knowing me, but i denied her proposal to talk with me and said to approach other guys as i was not interested in it. 😅😏 Even if someone gets a message from random number pls note the following points :- 1. Familiarity with the person sending this unknown message, think about how can one contact when there are thousands of people like us, we should be aware that something fishy is really going on & take steps accordingly to know the legitimacy of the message. 2. If unexpectedly there is a video call from unknown number don't pickup the call else put your finger on the front camera or switch to the Rear camera before interacting with the person in such calls. These all are just ways which i think may be helpful in avoiding such scammers. It's happening a lot nowadays & specifically to boys and men.🙄😒
