It is just types of damage. All you need to know is that shadow damage is more than physical so 20% shadow damage will be much more powerful than 20% physical damage. And true damage % is just the amount of hp the enemy will lose from the attack in %

Finally a set not imported from SFA, and they managed to make what is probably the best looking set in Dynasty atm! The glowing snake mini-statues and intricate serpent designs really stand out and the ranged flask looks really good. Hope many future sets will be the SF3 concept artists' work and involve the newly-introduced energies since now it's the best time to put them in the spotlight. And King of Serpents did a really good job with all of these poison abilities plus the shadow beast-like stance you seem to get at the start of rounds.
