Do you remember the song "Don't let the Rain Come Down'? This sheep wagon has a similar story to it as I complete the kitchen cabinet. Building and restoring horse drawn vehicles brings back odd memories sometimes. Thanks for coming along.

Your crooked little house brought back memories of insulating and paneling a taken in porch. If there was a square corner or a straight line in there I never found it. In my case thank goodness for quarter round molding. It covered my sins. Making the shelves a little narrow is something that will not be noticed that allowed the door to close and something that someone repairing a sheep wagon may have done.

Stove heat shields: I know you were putting this one back the way it was, and that's cool. For those using tin or similar metal to do a heat shield in other applications.... if you leave the space between the metal and the wall open at the top and bottom convection will draw cold air up between the wall and the metal making the shield even more effective.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but you have led a sheltered life. You should spend a few afternoons at some stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Ace hardware. Wander through the tool displays and see what is there. Let your mind run free with the possible ways you can use these things.
@suzisaintjames
@suzisaintjames 3 месяца назад
@@guylaraway6102 I go to those stores. We have all three within 2 miles of my home. My "💖 Home Depot" bumper sticker was on for soooo long the glue disintegrated and the "sticker" fell off. (Probably partly due to high UV in the Arizona 🌵 sun.) I guess that's the reason I thought you had to have a handle. There's the traditional U-shaped, there's just a handle with a slot for the blade, and all the variations. My dad always had the right tool for every job. But I never remember seeing anybody doing it this way. One of my greatest hindrances is doing it the way it's supposed to be done instead of just doing what works with what you have. Frameless hacksaw blade is a wonderful tool. I would recommend wrapping one of the blade ends with electrical tape. Your hand will thank you. Also I found that making the blade to cut in pull direction (Japanese style) reduces "snag" and the possibility of bending the blade and potential injury.
