Wargaming really needs to do something about these 5 destroyer games

Both Freddy G and GK should had 7.5km sec range like Bismarck instead of just 7km plus the range of Freddy G's main guns are possibly among the best in the game meanwhile GK is much less. I have Freddy G with Megatron with a full brawling secondary build and I can reload in under 20 seconds with a range of around 18.2km with the 406s so if GK could have Freddy G's main range then GK will be fun.

You know it was my second bureau project that I have ever done and I haven't had her for longer than a year. But I agree she gets great health points and armor and the guns hit really hard it's just almost impossible to hit what you're looking at before you get half of your health taken away from you. Like I've done 12 games today alone in GK and every time I had at least half my health points gone by the time I could actually see anything because three or fours shinakaze would come by and just drop 30 40/50 torpedoes in one go.

I find this video offensive against my 35 knot 12 second rudder GK. WEEEEEEEE!

Running Hyde and a full secondary build has been working well for me. Properly meticulous getting better dispersion and additional health for the secondaries make them pretty nasty. Remember, those 128s pen 32mm. Gk can absolutely shred with the secondaries if they can get in range. God have mercy on my enemies with this same build on Schroeder…. Haven’t had a game since the update less than 150k in him.

I just played it today and it is a solid ship for me, the buff helps with damage saturation a bit better and if you are used to the firing angles and you don’t get completely focused it’s fine for me

Well it is a secondary ship so people have to understand the ship isn't really for main guns you can spec into them but it's better to run a full secondary build at a beginning of a match wait to push until 3 or 4 mins in a game then watch how you succeeded 👍🏾

The firing angles and poor accuracy coupled with short duration sonar blows hard.

Honestly, if you're secondary range is around 8.5 km, I recommend full accuracy build using Hipper as the main commander, you keep most of the secondary range, but have space for inspirations like AL Scharnhorst or John Fisher

Yeah the GK is honestly a ship I just do not use it’s a gigantic damage sponge it doesn’t turn and the firing angles are absolutely awful you basically have to be flat broadside to get all guns off

I don't think the G.K. is a bad ship, however a 5-destroyer game is not a fair way to showcase the Kurfurst. Sadly no one can control the matches with regard to the ships chosen, but the 4-6 destroyer matches are way too much in this game. There should be a three DD limit considering that they're the most powerful/influential ships in this game. The Kurfurst's secondaries have always been underachieving. Completely ineffective? No. They will do some damage in certain situations. However they will not perform like Brandenburg, Rupprecht, or the Schlieffen, all of which can blanket a target with effective damage and/or create fires in just about any situation, and that's a difference to prepare for, which is why I'm a bit surprised that Spartan went with a Hyde/Hipper/Haruna build on the Kurfurst, unless the intent was to showcase the limits of its secondaries, but i digress. I would suggest for those who have Hyde to do as Spartan does and appoint Hyde as the primary commander...but the inspirations are going to be better with a focus on those main guns, so I use Iachino and di Revel specifically for the Kurfurst. Add a reload mod and you'll have respectable accuracy at mid-range, and long range as well, with a competitive reload time. The buff has helped a lot in regards that it can't be farmed with impunity, however I think it should have a sonar equally as good as its predecessors, and it doesn't.... which is baffling to me as the Kurfurst should be that technological pinnacle. Upping the sonar to what the other German capital ships have would have made the buff even better. Is the Kurfurst a poor battleship? No. Like any ship, it needed some attention and it got it, finally, and my experiences with it have improved noticeably...but the Kurfurst needs more to be done, the secondaries need to be better, not necessarily "Schlieffen" better but improved enough to be more noticeable, if that makes sense and a normal German sonar, but what has been done is a step in the right direction.

NGL I've had the GK unlocked for about 2 months and haven't taken it out once. I may give it a go. I'd just feel better off in a Colombo, which I nearly have.

The problem with those German Battle Ships is you can't make a proper hybrid build. To make secondary OK you have to spend all skills and modules in secondaries, to make the main guns not awful - everything to the main guns. To make them a little agile - everything there. And still, the ship is just average. Conversely, Massachusetts with any commander has excellent guns, aa, secondaries, maneuverability, survivability, etc. 💁‍♂

I wouldn't be surprised if they either buff this ship again or just replace it with Preussen like they did on PC at some point in the future

As a German BB Main, I think the GK Buff is NICE. However, there's a far bigger issue at play, that +10K HP won't fix. The ship has AWFUL turret angles. If GK didn't have to go entirely broadside for a full salvo, it would be FANTASTIC. Look at Columbo, it's one of the best BBs in the game because it can properly angle. Bad Turret Angles are what holds GK back, makes Pommern mid in my opinion, and part of why I think FDG is a DOWNGRADE from Bismarck (FDG Dispersion is a whole nother topic). Yes, better saturation and HP is fantastic on GK. But why give it 10K HP, when you could negate about 50K by simply angling better?

First rver game with it was amazing. The enemy team were paid actors 100%. Was just left alone the whole match. Every match after that just ends with me playing burning man

Gk is not a brawler. He's a sniper coupled with great guns, good armor, better accuracy than yamato. By far my favorite L teir bb.

It’s so odd that this ship is supposedly so bad and it really isn’t good, but.. it’s my favourite LT battleship, idk, something about it, it’s my most consistent 200k damage ship, it makes no sense..!

Kurfurst was my first legendary tier. Then my PlayStation account got banned, and with it I lost my Kurfurst. Btw Spartan, when's the next ARK stream? That shit was funny and entertaining.

ok you are missing the boat .GK's secondary build is amazing. I shred anything that gets within 12 k of my GK with secondaries . The GK has some of the best secondaries in the game. So I see why you don't like the GK because you don't know how to build it.

Großer Kurfürst has the buff, but overall it is unimpressive. No wonder Schlieffen is the popular choice for German legendary tier ships. I unlocked GK as my first legendary tier ship. However, I tried to play it as a medium to long range ship, but it is inconsistent.
