it was very passingly mentioned by laios in a previous episode with the bat (something along the lines of "i dont want you using up your magic on such an early floor") but marcilles magic can run out, so she doesn't really use it for fights unless she needs to, or if shes sure the others cant handle the enemies. the monsters will of course get harder later, so she usually has to save up for strong one hits and even healing now that falin is gone

The protagonists know that Falin was eaten by the dragon so they want to slay the dragon and revive her. Marcile had also mentioned in episode 1 that she had already once died because of a slime. Laios also said in this episode that being killed by the Living Armour in the past was his "first death"...hence one would assume that people can be revived under certain conditions.

Marcille is their only magic user, so she is also acting as their healer, if she uses up her mana attacking and healing then she would run out too quickly before they get to the dragon. Resurrection works in that you need the body, as long as there is a body to be recovered then they can come back to life. Otherwise it’s more difficult, also you need to pay a fee.

This was one of the most unique takes on Living Armor I've seen. Usually it's magic or ghosts.

Actually, Chilchuck's a half-foot, which is a non-copyrighted term for a hobbit. He's basically just a really short adult man. Also, you might not be familiar with Dungeons and Dragons, but this follows a lot of the logics of that franchise. To the point many people like to joke that these guys are actually just player characters in some D&D group's campaign.

They actually establish a system where people can be revived within the dungeon because their souls are still technically tethered to their bodies. There are even people who charge for it.
