Little tip: Go watch the Imagine Dragon's official clip of "Enemy", it cuts much deeper now, especially after episode 7. And there is a very short teaser for season 2. On a side note, it might not be as clear as you might think about who did or didn't die in that council room. Viktor is enhanced by the hexcore, Jayce had his hammer right next to him and there are fan theories as to why Mel's armor/decorations seem to glow up as they did... All in all we just have to wait for season 2... :S

"Don't cry. You're perfect." I don't think I've seen another line that hurt me as much as that one. For her entire life, Powder suffered with abandonment syndrome. Always thinking she was broken. That there was something wrong with her. That no one would love her for it. Silco loved her unconditionally, like a real daughter. And here she is, killing the only person in the world who accepted her exactly as she is.
@chaedi8457
@chaedi8457 6 месяцев назад
My favorite part of this line is how it is a call back to what Silco says to Jinx in episode 5. In that episode he tells her that she needs to let Powder die and that Jinx is prefect. And then he comes back in the end and tells Jinx that SHE is perfect.
@drakkonahn8544

AGAIN. The tragedy of this scene is beyond anything I've ever watched. "Don't cry, you're perfect" the best few words I've heard in the last decade. Nothing was stronger than his love for her, EVERYONE there deserved that love, and you got to see how corrupt. someone can become trying to save all of it. it was the perfect ugly representation of everything that can be so wrong with these series
@4castiel4

@@drakkonahn8544 Almost everyone who watched this episode believes that Silko manipulated Pawder and that he tried to kill Vi, but in fact Vi hurt Pawder - she forced her to imagine people who died because of her and this hurt her. There is a moment where Pawder several times asks Vi to 'stop', but she does not react. Then Silko took a weapon and shot in the back of the chair near Vi’s head; if he wanted to kill her, he would have shot in the chest or head...

It's easily the most twisted, sadistic line he says in the entire show. Seeing the broken, exhausted ball of pain and suffering barely clinging to reality through her delusions as a result of his years of gaslighting and abuse and calling the state of misery she is in the best thing she can be. He sees none of her pain, none of the desperation that drove her to nearly commit a murder/suicide, none of the suffering she's enduring. All he sees is his own "perfect" twisted reflection, and those words likely ensure she will never be able to heal as she rejects the only person that genuinely unconditionally loved her..
@4castiel4
@4castiel4 5 месяцев назад
@@troikas3353 try to imagine that you are wrong and Silco would never hurt Jinx and that all he is trying to do is help her. Rewatch the series, presenting him not as a manipulator, but as a father for Jinx. You will see everything from a completely different angle.
@tilltronje1623
@tilltronje1623 6 месяцев назад
Notice why she chose that chair: because she did it again. She jinxed it again. She killed her father figure again. She "lost" her sister again. Again, the loss was her "fault". She was "abandoned" again. She destroyed her family again. Her last hope of healing was gone in that moment. So with no other option, she embraces what she is. She embraces her failings to at least have some control over it. And yet, right after, she jinxes it again. This time by killing the council and destroying the peace that had just been achived. She just can't escape from destroying lives around her. And she is tired of that fact. Now you definitely need to react to the League cinematics!

The scene with Silco at Vanders statue is such a good show. He realizes why vander betrayed the cause, and he is about to do the same. Silco could so easily have been a throw away villain, but he literally had the same arc as vander and was so much more.

People when they first watch the show think it ends on a cliffhanger. But technically, this was the true ending. Arcane Season 1 is the story of Powder becoming Jinx. And the ending is just that, Jinx becoming officially her new persona. Also that 23:32 scene of Singed in his lab. Very important for Season 2. Also, Jinx is no leader. Shes the wild card. Shes a loose cannon. In case you didnt know, thats her Title ingame. Jinx, the loose cannon. Shes now not on a chain either. Shes not leading, shes doing what she wants.

Even in the end Silco went for Vi's head to try to shut her up because she was causing more pain to jinx, even when drawing his last breath, his last words were to comfort jinx. He really loved and cared for her. Also based on lore jinx wont be taking over Silco's place as leader, infact shes kinda alone even in the future as both sides wants nothing to do with her. also she is gonna go on rampages, constantly in the future to mess with the topsiders.

Another thing that makes this show so incredible, are all the small details that they add in every episode. There are so many things that go again. You mentioned a few of them, like the fact that in this episode, Jayce stopped Victor from jumping, just like Victor had done for Jayce in an earlier episode. Or the fact that Jinx was responsible for both Vander and Silco' s deaths, which were both of her father figures. But another one that I only noticed after rewatching the show, was that Silco in this episode, sat by Vanders statue, and mentioned that Jayce "Didn't even haggle". This is also a callback to the first episode, where Ekko/Little man said the same thing. He had sold a bunch of stuff to Jayce, for a lot more than it was worth. And Jayce "Didn't even haggle". The show is truly littered with tons of these small details, which goes to show how much thought has gone into the making of this show. It is clear to see just how much they had planned out, before even making the first episode, when small details from episode 1 are foreshadowing things in the last episode. One thing I am excited about for season 2, is trying to look for these kinds of details. But for season 2, they can even make these details span across seasons. So it's going to be really fun to try to spot these things as I watch the show for the first time, and to see how many I missed, as I rewatch it a second time.

It's amazing how good this episode really is. It's the most unsatisfyingly satisfying ending ever - All the major character arcs are resolved (Mel chooses Piltover, Jayce chooses peace, Vi can't see Jinx as more than powder, Jinx definitively goes her separate way from Vi, etc), but there's so much left to explore in the future. I think also Viktor's quote pulls a lot of weight - "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good" is not only true for him and Jayce, but it's exactly what's happened to Silco - He doesn't want anything particularly evil, just an independent undercity that isn't exploited for the upper city's gain - But he's become the villain in his pursuit of it. And it is a noble goal - Really, we see in the first three episodes that Vander's kids, who are essentially Undercity royalty, still make a living by stealing from people's houses, and here we learn that boy working in the Shimmer factory was pretty upper-class for their society - Imagine where kids who aren't as lucky would be, either way. Vander wanted to keep that in fear of the cost of getting better, and Silco wanted to change it regardless of the cost. That's my take, anyway.
@Arkayjiya
@Arkayjiya 6 месяцев назад
"Vi can't see Jinx as more than powder" Disagree with this one. There's literally no arc or resolution in that direction, in fact the resolution is that Vi was denied her chances. Vi had literally 5 minutes with Jinx. Of course she's not gonna understand the completely new person her sister has become in 5 minutes, no one would. Vi certainly never rejected the person Jinx has become, even when she said the wrong thing because of assumption she didn't have the time to correct, she just never had the opportunity to figure out who Jinx was. The story is about everyone else getting in Vi's way. Marcus, Caitlyn (not her fault though), Ekko (although his part in this is understandable it was still unfortunate), Silco, and finally Jinx herself, not about Vi refusing to accept her sister. This is supported by Jinx's words at the end. Her issue isn't that she finally realised Vi would never accept the new "her", it's that their relationships could never be as it was, that on one side, Jinx can never be who she was again (like she pretended 2 minutes ago when telling Vi to kill Cait), and that Vi who used to live almost exclusively for Powder's sake (yes she had other relations, with Vander, Mylo, Ekko and Claggor, but basically everything important she did, was for Powder. She even directly states that Powder gets special privileges to Mylo), now has other people in her life, like Cait, and that she won't 100% prioritise Powder above all else anymore (reflected by the fact that she let Ekko handle Jinx in episode 7) and therefore can't have that exclusive relationship with Jinx whether she's Powder or not. The resolution is never about Vi rejecting the new person Jinx has become.

@@Arkayjiya Yup! I think that's on purpose too. If I had my guess, Season 1 is the story of what created Jinx, and Season 2 will be about who Vi is... and in that story she may well get her chance to save "Jinx", my guess would be with a little help from a vicious werewolf.

The bittersweet tragedy of Arcane is you didn’t really need a sort of resolution in a normal sense. Even if there wasn’t a season 2 planned, the story is perfect as it is. if you look at the series from the lense of Arcane being a tale of two “sister” cities and dealing with their differences and irrevocable actions that lead to the rift through the story of Vi and Jynx. Excited from where they go next year.

Love that you noticed the callback to “Am I interrupting something?” being the same line Victor said to Jayce when he was going to jump. There’s actually another callback in this episode regarding Jayce. In Episode 1 Claggor asks Little Man how he found out about the apartment they broke into, and Little Man tells him that the owner came into the shop to buy some stuff and that he sold it to him for double the cost because he didn’t even haggle. Then in the final episode when Silco is talking to Vander’s statue he remarks that “The boy didn’t even haggle.” It’s a nice callback and also goes to show how although he spends most of the show bending to other people’s influences, at his core Jayce is a very straightforward and honest person.

This show is one of the most perfectly constructed tragedies I've ever seen. All of the actions and choices and consequences felt like a natural expression of what these characters would do, and only we the audience get to see the whole picture and how it all fits together to make what happens inevitable. And I've never thought of the ending as a cliffhanger, as both the personal story and the larger, political story are both brought to their conclusions: we see how Powder became Jinx, and how the war began between Piltover and Zaun.

When Jinx kills the enforcers Silco is angry but he wasnt going to hurt her. And Jinx didnt afraid him. He wanted to impess him. -------- As with crystal when Jinx tried to creat the weapon she had ptsd of her dead family. After the scene in the river when Silco told her to get over the past it worked. --------- Jinx continued to make the gun without any problems. All was fine unltil Vi came. When Jinx saw Vi she remembered what she did. Vi didnt know about her traumaand or how to handle it. Vi wants the best for her and keep her safe but she hurts her. I dont blame Vi. She thinks Silco is a monster and he manipulates her in his favor and she has every right to believes. Vi only know that Silco kidnapped Vander and caused his death. And that we can see it clear in the final scene. Silco gave up everything he wanted to protect Jinx. And he didnt get mad when she kidnapped him because he understand how she feels. Vi tries to make Jinx remember but she only make things worse. Silco sees jinx suffering and tries to help her by shooting Vi witch leading to his death. I dont say Silco was right and Vi was wrong the one. And thats the good with Arcane. There are not black and white. Silco tried to kill 4 children to avenge Vander and done many evil things. Also he feared that Jinx would abadon him and thats why he told her some lies. But in the end Silco wasn't the clice villain. He was a complex character with issues and weakness. And Vi wasn't evil or totally wrong. Ηer intentions were good but in the end she would make things worse because she doesn't know the real Jinx.

You've left out of all this that Silco is a huge part of the reason why Jinx is so traumatized, isolated, and paranoid in the first place. Vi started that descent but Silco deepened the wounds Vi caused for his own purposes rather than helping Jinx heal from them. "Yes, she lied. She betrayed you. Everyone will betray you except me. You can't trust any of them, but if you isolate yourself then they can't hurt you and you'll be strong." He doesn't understand her nearly as well as you claim he does. He loves her, but it's poisonous.

Your comment about Heimerdinger was very on-point. I do want to highlight that this show has masterful directing in consequences. For example, remember when Caitlyn gave up her gun to get medication to treat Vi? That was a bad move, thinking logically. Then in EP 7 Caitlyn ends up on a bridge. A bridge full of robotic "fireflies" (butterflies) that target everyone with guns, yet she doesn't have one. Or the moment between Jayce & Viktor when they were both at the lowest points in their lives. This show loves to play around with "the same thing" happening to different combinations of characters. There's SO MANY cases of this. For example, Jinx gases Sevika and interrogates her. What's the next thing that happens? Sevika & Silco gas the Chembarons and now they're the ones wearing masks. Heimerdinger, the head of the council gets kicked out -> Silco, the head of the council threatens everyone with their lives and displays power. Caitlyn under umbrella when Jayce got kicked out of academy --> Caitlyn soaking in the rain when Vi is leaving her after they go to the council. There's even more subtle ones, like Viktor scattering the ashes of Sky and saying "I don't know where you would have preferred". The ashes fall down right where Sky met Viktor when she was playing around with other kids in the water. I could go on and on about these. There's so many, honestly. I just never thought about Heimer's case, that was a nice point. Thanks for your reactions, I really enjoyed the whole series you did!

I love how Silco was worried when confronted by the other undercity gang boss. He then asks "We're you tempted?" and she replies "Not for a worm like him" Implying that had it been someone else, someone smarter, she would have betrayed Silco. Truly Silco believes that every day may be his last.

You started to hit on it a bit in your aftershow comments. The reason this 9 episodes seems so full, so impossibly complete and yet open ended at the same time, is because of the overlaps of themes between all the characters. Different stories, different situations, same throughpoints. You don't feel scattered despite the different plots, because it keeps reiterating the same themes. Amazing story writing, a true master class in how to fit more into the cup than should ever be possible.

Saddest part is, Vi could never accept Jinx, she still believed Powder was alive and could be saved, but Silco was the only one who truly loved Jinx for who she is and she jinxed it.
@lenajohnson6179
@lenajohnson6179 4 месяца назад
Vi was never given the chance to accept Jinx. All signs point pretty clearly that Vi WOULD have made concessions to accept Jinx so long as Jinx was willing to make concessions herself. Cause let's be clear here... Jinx is a monster, a rabid dog on the loose, murdering and destroying indiscriminately. Powder IS alive in there, and she shows it constantly, but Jinx is in there too. Silco can love and accept Jinx because he TOO is a monster, but he can't love Powder because she is vulnerable and belongs to someone else. Vi loves Powder, but can't LOVE Jinx because Jinx is a monster and a killer, but if she could REACH Jinx she absolutely would try to help her heal. ONE of those psyches can potentially have a life with any sort of love and happiness in it, the other is doomed to eventually die a violent and probably painful death. Hang what Silco wants and who could accept Jinx, Jinx can't be allowed to remain as she is. If she has any hope of living (not just surviving as Echo would say) she needs Vi and what Vi can give to her... not to have her madness enabled. I expect we're gonna see the 'LoL' champion Jinx in season 2, Jinx deluding herself into thinking that living inside her madness makes her happy and content. We'll see the comedic nutball chatting to her weapons for a trilogy of episodes or so... (We'll probably see Vi at her lowest as well, acting the proper LoL champion 'Piltover Enforcer' making a terrible showing of herself as a problem cop who has lost her faith in humanity before her character arc brings her back around to a true hero again) but it will fade because no matter how much she wants to run away from who she was and what she's done, Powder and her insecurities will always be a part of her, dragging her inevitably back to the space in-between the sister and the psycopath.
@DLxxx
@DLxxx Месяц назад
@@lenajohnson6179 Beutifully said! I don't think I've ever agreed with an analysis of these characters so much. To add on to this a little bit, I think Vi's self hatred will also be at it's peak when she initially trains to become an Enforcer at the academy. The S2 trailer makes it clear that she only does this because she feels responsible for her sister's destruction, and if anyone's going to have the burden of killing her, it's going to be Vi. Not Cait. Not Jayce. Not Ekko. But once it sinks in that she's working with the enforcers in order to make this goal happen and "redeem herself" (even though it was Jinx who chose to reject her), she'll probably vomit in disgust. She hates the enforcers, even in the original LoL cannon. Even if Cait tries to comfort her (which she may or may not), I can only imagine how reality shattering it will be for Vi to work the police force that killed her parents.. Really excited to see how she'll pick herself up from the depths of despair in S2 😁
@lenajohnson6179
@lenajohnson6179 Месяц назад
@@DLxxx I'm really REALLY intrigued to see if the show at all indicates how Vi and Cait move towards the battle in the old 'Warriors' Trailer. It really seems by that point, she and Cait are less 'enforcers' and just protecting Piltover and Zahn from a hostile invading presence. It certainly MUST be post all this Jinx stuff... It'd be interesting if Vi first enters into the Enforcers as a cog in a problematic machine... but come around to actually FIXING it with Caitlyn's help. I really can't imagine Cait being an unempathetic sheriff xD... Piltover's Finest are BOUND to start making serious changes in the Enforcer's right!?
@DLxxx
@DLxxx Месяц назад
@@lenajohnson6179 Good point! I do think they're going to move beyond just being enforcers eventually, but I don't know if that'll be within the scope of S2 or not (like you said, it's probably after all this Jinx drama is dealt with). As for Cait and Vi helping fix the problematic system with the enforcers, I definitely think that's where they're going. Cait herself told Ekko and Vi that the "this city needs healing." She ultimately wants the cycle of violence between them to stop, so I could see her arc being about her losing some of her empathy due to her rage at Jinx, only to eventually make peace with that and (like you said) coming out a more mature person on the other side.
@jaquanford2916
@jaquanford2916 Месяц назад
@@lenajohnson6179I agree with everything thing you think but also I think that Vi kinda already made up her mind. She gives Jinx’s name to the council leading to Jayce demanding her for peace and Vi leaves Echo to deal with Jinx know he intends to kill her. So given the chance she could except her.

I fear you missed Silco's intention, if you recall back to episode 3, his talk with Vander, Vander tells him Silco can't win a war with topside (which honestly he might have been able to, as they don't have Hextech yet), but Silco goes on to say he doesn't need to win, just to scare them, for respect, he doesn't want to rule it all, he wants Zaun, he wants independence, if you track what he says to the Chem barons and others, Silco is fighting for a cause. To get the Undeside out from beneath Piltover, out of the poor conditions they have had to endure, and he's willing to do anything to achieve that(ep1 conversation with Deckard) So..Silco lost, he nearly had Zaun's independence, but for the second time Jynx blew it all up.
@Arkayjiya

Jinx isn't responsible here, the council is. When you torture an entire population for generations and wait for the very last second, when you know they might have access to a weapon of mass destruction, to concede to their reasonable demands, it's your fault if it blows up in your face. Jinx has done harm to the undercity, that's where her responsibility lie, but Piltover? The council in particular? Everything that happened to them is their own fault. Only Jayce among the council members is innocent, considering it only took him a couple of days to arrive to the right conclusion.

23:20 Yeah, it's like a... Super Mega Death Rocket or something like that. Kidding aside, the references and callbacks to previous episodes are amazing. Jinx's line of "I thought you could love me like you used to, even though I'm... different" to me is a reference back to episode 2 when Vi tells powder "what makes you different makes you strong" as she is about to turn herself in to Grayson. Also Silco in Ep. 5 saying to Jinx "You're strong now, just like you were always meant to be." All of it is a callback to each other and a slight twisting of it's meaning each time it's said IMO. It goes from "Be yourself, don't try to be like the others" to "This is who you are, embrace it" to "This is who I am, why can't you love me for it?" You picked up on "Am I interrupting?" already, there are like 8 really good ones where 2 people use the same or very similar lines. "We got everything we could ask for, the boy didn't even haggle" - Silco Ep. 9 at Vander Statue vs. "He didn't even haggle! I charged him double price" - Little Man/Ekko Ep. 1 chatting with Claggor. Both talking about how Jayce is inept with making deals, especially with the undercity (do we call it Zaun now? Technically the motion passed before they got blown up). "Welcome to the Lanes" - Vander Ep. 1 to the two traders vs. "Welcome to the Lanes" - Vi Ep. 5 to Cait once they finished their parkour. Both to me are saying "This is how we do things here, go along with it and you'll be fine." "You've got a good heart, don't ever lose it no matter how the world tries to break you" - Vander Ep. 3 before he takes Vi's place as the scapegoat vs. "Despite it all, I can tell. You have a good heart" - Caitlyn Ep. 6 when thinking Vi was apologizing to her for leaving her at the brothel only to get stabbed looking for revenge. This one is a layup since immediately after Cait says this Vander echoes it. There are others, but this comment is long enough lol. If anyone wants to add more they know of, thrown them here.
@therren9981
@therren9981 6 месяцев назад
Oh another one I remember as a callback from Ep. 9 is Silco's last words to Jinx "Don't cry, you're perfect." vs. what he said to her in either Ep. 4 or Ep. 5 "Jinx is perfect". He is reminding her he's always thought that she was perfect, as well as the implication that she is full and truly Jinx now. She has realized his ideal for her that he has thought and loved (in a fatherly way) for years.

XD Now you can wait like the rest of us! I would say the undercity definitely didn't win here, but Jinx has made this much, much worse for them all. I think Silco wanted the weapon built to threaten Piltover, Jinx decided to use it. So now recommendations! I saw Silco have a father’s journey. He became the very thing he thought he despised,Vander. Is there anything more undoing than a daughter. All of his hopes and dreams he ever had in his grasp, but he had to give up the girl he raised. He was not going to do that. And he finally understood his brother and why his brother did what he did. Then you have don’t cry your perfect scene. 😢. Fantastic voice acting. But right there. Silco trying to convey even though he’s dying. I love you for who you are flaws and all. Poor Vi could only see Powder, and is terrified of Jinx,leaving Jinx believe that Vi does not accept her how she is only how she was. That innocent sister was not ever coming back. I think that’s why. Powder made the decision herself where to sit in the end. No longer up to her sister.

Perfect finale, a suspenseful ending with emotional impact that sets up next season, but also bringing all the storylines and characters to meaningful conclusions. The show is a gift. It's like, what if we made an animated show, in the fantasy genre, in the way that fans know and love - AND - give it as much resources and time as is needs to have top tier production in every aspect, art, writing, sound, music, VA, etc. AND, nail it.

Technically it isn't a cliffhanger. A cliffhanger is when the movie/show ends before the climax and I do not think you can say that wasn't one hell of a climatic ending. The story being told in season 1 and eveyone's character arcs finished: Powder is gone and all that is left is Jinx, there will be no peace between the Under City and Piltover, Hextec couldn't be controlled for only good and weapons came of it, no happy family reunion for Vi, Mel has made her choice, Himendinger and Ecko end up teaming.... It basically finished on the inciting incident for season 2. This was basically Jinx's villain origin story wrapped in a Greek Tragedy.

Thanks, might just be the best reaction of this show out there, and I have seen them all. Best show ever, and you wont belive me until you prove it by yourselfs, it gets better on re-watch. Example when you see Silco's end you know he is honest with his words towards Jinx, when you re-watch when he adopts her you can see it in his face he empathizeses with her becuase he sees himself in her like what he whent trough with Vander. And there are tons of subtle little things troughout the show that you cant catch on the first watch. What makes the writing and characters of Arcane so good is that none of it is one-dimensional. Vi - Wants to be a good big sister but her emotional immaturity causes her to make poor decisions and lash out at people around her. Has daddy issues. Cait - Wants to be the hero of her story but is more often the damsel in distress. Has mommy issues. Jinx - Too much to unpack here, but has daddy issues, abandonment issues, inferiority issues-- in spite of basically being a genius inventor marksman acrobat. Vander - Fought a war but gave it up due to the cost. Was a damsel in distress but given a final moment to be the hero. Silco - Kept fighting the war and paid the ultimate price. Resented Vander for abandoning the cause to raise a bunch of kids, only to finally understand him in the end. Jayce - He is the projection of success while being a failure. Is the city's golden boy despite only ever making mistakes behind the scenes throughout the entire show. Despite becoming the de facto leader of the city, is constantly led around by all the powerful women around him. Has mommy issues. Ekko - Caught in the middle between warring sisters and warring cities. He represents a middle ground of people who just want the right to live and live their way. Like Jinx, he was forced to face the future alone, but didn't feel like he was abandoned; only that he survived. Probably why the firelights also appear just to fight to survive, rather than to win. Mel - Powerful, Diplomatic, manipulative, beautiful, and insecure as fuck. Has mommy issues. Victor - Similar to Ekko and Jinx in many ways, such as being a brilliant inventor from the undercity. Unlike them, he's able to reconcile the differences between the two sides, but he's also motivated only by his desire to live. Unlike Jayce, he takes on everything alone, arguably succeeding on his own merits as well, but at the cost of pushing away everyone close to him. Heimerdinger - Is he wise or is he just afraid? Looking forward to season 2. Hoping Noxus (Mel's homeland) takes on a big role in the next one.

Honestly in many ways one could say the undercity lost here. They were so close to independence and a better life, the council literally voted it through and with Silco gone, nobody would really be able to protect Jinx and the deal would be fullfilled. Now even IF the whole council is dead, the enforcers are alive, and somebody would sooner or later take over. As for Jinx, I dont think there would be anything that d actually bring her back, we can clearly assume she has been killing for years and has a severe personality disorder.Whoever she d kill it d just enforce in her that she is a Jinx - coz killing either Silco or Vi would just mean she killed another person she loved, just like she always does.

I think in the end what Jinx wanted was for Vi to be like Silco. To not care how terrible Jinx became, how many buildings she destroyed, who she killed and still love her anyway. But Vi has become too good of a person. She couldn't even kill a single topside enforcer, the people that killed their parents and Vi swore vengeance against as a child. And Jinx hated Powder and would never go back to being her, even for Vi There's no way either of them is getting what they want out of this relationship anymore

Awesome reaction, loved app of your reactions to this incredible series! Jinx would’ve ended up in the Jinx chair no matter what… she didn’t sit there because she wanted to honor Silco’s wishes, she sat there because she realized she really was “Jinx” since she once again killed her “father” (as you noted). If she had killed Vi instead, the same Jinx label would’ve applied no matter how sorry she was, and she would’ve had to take the Jinx chair. Other elements I’m looking forward to: Jinx presumably killed Caitlyn’s mother after she spared Jinx for Vi… interesting stress on their relationship. And I presume Jayce and Victor survived… hoping Mel does too, though if so I suspect she may be forever changed (scarred or worse?), though even if she fully recovers physically I think the event itself will change her attitude and her relation to Jayce forever. So many interesting things to come as they bring in more of the outside world, etc.!

I love you’re guys reaction and I watched like 20 different reactions to arcane so far maybe more because I never get tired of sharing my passion for this show with people who just discover it And I would love to see you guys reacting to bridging the rift The behind the scenes documentary of arcane it’s also super amazing and mindblowing. How often this show would have not seen the day of light, and all that stuff that happened around arcades production it’s truely amazing. Also if you’re interested dive into the universe of runterra the world arcane takes place at via music videos cinematically, or other kind of media. A lot of people took these kind of journey after finishing arcane and I never saw someone who regretted it

Powder and Jinx are not two separate personalities. It's all just Powder. Jinx is more a coping mechanism she's developed in order to survive the life of violence and blood that Silco bathes her in. The mask that is the Jinx persona lets Powder distance herself from the horrific things she's doing, as otherwise violence is one of the triggers for her ptsd as shown in episode one. She's living a life where just existing has placed her within a cycle of compounding, self perpetuating trauma triggers which is what has caused her mental and emotional deterioration. Her codependency on Silco for external validation and affection to combat her own self loathing pushes her to do the things she thinks makes her useful to him, which means violence and cruelty as that is what he respects and needs, but doing so triggers her ptsd which causes her to push even harder on trying to disassociate which makes her feel even more inadequate which makes her need the validation from her codependent tie to Silco even more and it all repeats. A vicious cycle of violence and abuse. Silco may care for her in his own twisted way, but he has no apparent awareness of the suffering she's enduring doing the things she's doing for him. Or he simply doesn't care what its doing to her so long as she remains his, so long as she is breathing and leashed to him, so long as she is fitting the narrow vision of what he sees her to be, he may not be concerned about the rest of it. He never once in the season even seems to acknowledge how severely ill she very clearly is, let alone recognize that he's making her worse. He only ever remarks on what he needs from her.

Jayce's declaration that the undercity would be annihilated if it came to war shows his naivety, ignorance, and tendency to jump to conclusions. He was involved in a single raid against child workers, bored factory guards, and drugged up berserkers, and he suddenly thinks he knows how a war will go? There's a lot of resignation and sadness in Jinx during her final scenes. You can see it in her eyes, her expression, and her body language. If I had to guess, she's thinking that Vi was right, all those years ago, on that tragic night: She's a jinx. And so, if she's going to be a jinx, she's going to be the worst bad luck Piltover has ever experienced. No truce. No negotiations. No peace. Jinx will show them all, and she does, in true explosive fashion. Chaos is coming, and who knows what will happen next... Thanks for the video.
