The Dacron connecter bends down also before you make contact,the only one that doesn't is the spider! So for me this is cobblers! So then how do we catch on the waggler with yards and yards of line in front of us? There's an old saying (if the driver hasn't got his hands on the steering wheel then............? You could also argue that maybe the stonfo was a bit too quick eh! And of course there's whip fishing with a long length of line? My friend it makes no difference what connecter you use,you are the one with the hands on the steering wheel!
Fair comments Robert and the beauty of fishing is that it's individual preference! If it works for you, it works! Incidentally, this video is now nearly 2 years old and I now have a mix, having gone back to stonfo on some of my lighter top kits because of the faff!
You're not on your own as i only swapped to dacron this last year and along with the new hybrid elastics have made my catch rate got up by a few %. I'm also going to change those to the really short Dacrons that are being sold on Facebook as there only about 1 cm longish.
