I have the first Megaboom that I purchased about 5-6 years ago. I use it almost daily, the sound is decent, but what I love is how durable it is. I have dropped it numerous times and it still works great. The only issue I have after all these years is the battery doesn’t hold a charge for more than 2-3 hours but that’s to be expected for how long I’ve had it.
2 years ago I bought myself a megaboom 3 just because my og megaboom refused to charge. I bought that speaker not long before the 3 launched. Basically 6 years ago, like you did. You’re not really missing anything. I feel like ultimate ears did such a great job with their first generation that they couldn’t improve much with the next generations. I wonder how does the megaboom 4 compare to the older gens
This may not be the best Bluetooth speaker out there, but what this review misses is that when you pair 2 or more of these speakers together you get a truly magical sound experience.
Just popped on this video to say I have a mega boom I bought in 2015 and use it alot almost every day and it still works but is starting to either blow a speaker or the seal needs to be redone but still works im listening to it right now and just now looking up a new ue speaker cause of how long this one has lasted
Had a megaboom 3 for two years and sm very pleased eith it. Bought another one to make a "party up" stereo pair. EPIC FAIL!!! Second speaker pops, crackles and drops just unlistenable. No fixes available as the root cause appears to be underspecced bluetoohpth chip which cannot receive and resend a music stream.
I had my MegaBoom 3 for 2yrs and after about 3hrs of play from fully charge I get the blinking red light ...then boom out....or sometimes it looses the Bluetooth connection....anyone else had this issue????
