Out of all the tracks on the Duality album, this one, Firefly Alley, is really standing out to me right now. It seems to have elements reminiscent of Lindsey's other pieces like Shadows, Moon Trance, Night Vision, and Darkside. Kind of a dance between the light and dark, or light and heavy. It does sound kind of Castlevania-ish in a way.
The moment you said that it sounds like a theme song I had the opening credits for something like a super hero movie in my head and it fits so good. Oh, and thank you for your explanation. (oh and "Eye Of The Untold Her" is my alltime favorite too, because of it's story and video). Thank you, FireflyAlly ;)
This feels like a mix of Lost Girls and Forgotten Voyage in a way! Plus I'm literally imagining a place with fireflies, maybe a literal alley way haha Ooh I had never imagined this feeling like a theme song but I do love that you found something about the fireflies and choosing to look or focus on the simple things.
My favorite track from Duality besides Untamed. It sounds like it has bits of melody from Lost Girls, Shadows, Darkside, Master of Tides and Forgotten Voyage.
Firefly All(e)y is definitely one of my favorites of the album. But Purpose will be one of my all-time-favorites besides Transcendence and Til the Light goes out.
I wonder if firefly might represent sparks of fire? Like going down the hard, narrow, unconventional path that's unique to you and really difficult but ends up producing bursts of strength and passion in the form of light from within like fireflies?
