I am a Stronghold Titan Main and have been since beyond light and I've always loved stasis. I always laugh when I go into a GM and everyone's like oh he has a sword yeah until I walk out in the middle of all the enemies and rez you. To me it feels like the ultimate space knight feel.
I used to love that exotic for the same reason. But playing more with glaives made me realize how fun and strong they are. They also have a 97% DR shield, so it feels like playing with stronghold but with a glaive instead. I’d strongly suggest you to try vexcalibur + wormgod and the subclass of your choice. Vexcalibur gives overshield to you and your friends, and you have the glaive shield on top of that. Wormgod will stack fast and easy with vexcalibur and it stacks with it’s exotic perk (vexcalibur melee does more damage when you have an overshield). With this setup your glaive melees will hit around 80k-90k and it also buffs your swords. When playing with Banner of War titan I feel like a true paladin. You will provide overshield, healing and woven mail to you and your friends. I hope you have some fun with it as much as I do!
I’m a Titan main, and I love these new changes to icefall mantle. However, doesn’t banner of war do all of this without an exotic? Woven mail is 40% damage reduction, each pulse heals you and your team, and you can still wear whatever exotic you want.
I find the healing from icefall mantle is very unreliable. Once you reach max stacks of frost armour you can no longer be healed from the perk until you lose your frost armour stacks. This is hard as you are always getting shards. Instead, they should keep the exotic functioning as how it is but once at max stacks, give a constant restoration x1. This would make it much better.. otherwise i find scars a much better source of healing.
I’ve been playing with a similar build, icefall mantle is so good right now! I like he fact that there is some flexibility on the weapon of choice here, but your loadout is one of the most solid ones that I’ve seen so far. Thanks so much for sharing!
I still believe the rework was an overall loss to Titans. We lost subclass flexibility, x4 surge, slow on cast, and overshield w/ 67% dr + frost armor for the ability to move quicker, constant x5-8 frost armor stacks, and freeze on cast, with no subclass flexibility.
I see where you're coming from. At the very least we have something different to build craft with. Maybe newer seasonal perks will synergize even better to make up for the losses.
Might try this but swap shield throw for shiver strike. Same Unstop stunning that's spammable when Transcendent but frees up Consecration for another option.
Hey thanks for the vid, what about Wicked Implement as a main weapon? It's available for purchase at the tower and seems to also synergize well with the current season~
Can't recommend the Recurrent Impact Machine gun enough. I use Subsistence and Headstone with the origin trait Land Tank making us even beefier. The thing goes crazy.
Oooh hell yeah 😎 I love all the suggestions you guys are throwing out! There are so many good options out there for stasis weapons! A possible 30 Res and 15% damage resistance from Recurrent Impact is amazing 👏
@@GeekMediaCentral haha yeah they're very difficult to deal with, especially with multiple simultaneously attacking! Now try Onslaught Salvation solo master LOL
Speaking my mind with how everyone is posting just onslaught builds and how they aren’t viable in any other harder content. This will be the build I go with
Yeah. I try to stay positive, but some of these build guides felt disingenuous. All they had to say was "Onslaught build," and then people would be better off.
@GeekMediaCentral yep, used to be able to glitch GOS areas and a few other raid glitch soft spots for sure, and stasis generation is off the hizzy when paired with icefall and other stasis exotic armor ✔️
This build is new which makes it exciting, but in all honesty the prismatic consecration knockout build is still significantly better. Strand titan is better even. If you find the build fun use it all you want, but all these RU-vidrs are acting like this some new meta breaking build, which simply is not the case.
Syntho + Consecration is amazing. I don't want Bungie to nerf it. But, their Stasis and Void improvements are steps in the right direction. As I said in my video, I think 1 or 2 more tweaks could bring those up to par. For now, I do think Icefall Mantle builds provide a solid alternative to Consecration spam. And, that's good enough for alot of us Titan mains who would like to play something different.
Buried bloodline is really strong because of its intrinsic Devour perk AND weaken with Catalyst. I haven't been able to get it to drop from Warlords so I can't test it. But I think you're definitely onto something!
Not sure if anyone else does this, but the artifact is basically a bonus so I leave it blank when initially testing my builds. It helps me to see how well the core synergy is and if it can still perform without the buffs from the artifact. Also…Bro had enough of yalls shite builds and decided to basically explained how to effectively synergize your build as a whole. Listen up!
