It's nice to see a Killer content creator acknowledge Survivor's pain but on the other hand Spooky has always been a classy guy!

Solo Survivor has been a hell for the past few seasons, most solos know how to help the team, but most killers have been getting stronger and harder to counter, making playing survivor a seriously frustrating experience as one mistake can mess up a whole match

yeah playing survivor rn is rough, practically every game that i dont just straight up rubberband and the game crashes, i get tunneled or proxy camped the entire game, and its not even like a gen goes by while im being chased either i just wish they would make killer builds a bit more varied instead of just seeing the top build and deciding nuh uh, cus it kinda forces people to do this

Thank you for talking about how rough solo q survivor is rn. I literally uninstalled the game a month ago because while I try my best to be positive, trying to stay that was when every game was a roflstomp was testing my sanity. I might come back at some point, but only when the game's fun again

Massive props to you for actually acknowledging the pain survivor main content creators go through. Yes, their videos may be funny, but they have to endure hours of miserable games to even be able to put together a 10 minute video. Much love

Dude, I feel it. As a Killer Main, when I do play survivor, it's miserable, and in my killer matches I've been going REALLY easy on teams because of it. I've literally stopped even proxying except near the end game against obvious SWFs, because of how terrible my survivor matches feel. Tunneling out a guy at 5-Gens is getting so horrifying common that even I am passively advocating for Multi-Use, or even Base Kit DS at this point. It's rough out there.

You are absolutely right... Playing Surviver these days is kinda hard, specially on Solo-Q. I'm working on the DbD-Achivements on Steam right now and most of all, the Surviver-Achivements were the worst cuz many of them tell you more or less what perks you have to use... Its a loooooooooong struggle...

Kinda glad to know it isn't just me as a solo queue veteran who has been feeling like solo queue has been pretty miserable lately. When even someone I consider really positive like Spooky is saying how bad it is, I feel it obviously isn't just me being burned out etc

Solo Q sucks. Had a game last night where I single handedly finished the last 4 gens, 2 survs died and the last guy hid in a locker near the exit gates. What did he do while I kited the killer? Literally stood next to the gate and didn't prime it. Just watched me. Eventually the killer left me and found him. I had the gate 90% open when the killer got me. Had he primed that door, both of us would have escaped easily. I have at least a match like that every single hour. My matches are either 1) 3 teammates downed and hooked before the first gen is done, 2) a surv leads the killer straight to the other survs...many times on purpose, 3) I do the majority of gens and still die, or 4) I get left on the hook while the other 3 survs have full hp and one hook each but still decide to leave. When I play killer, feels like I get gen rushed every game. Played chucky the other day and the match was over in just over 5 mins. All 4 survs had green toolboxes with spare parts and builds made to gen rush.

The dead by daylight reddit thread is always killer sided complaints like as if they aren't the ones who dictate how a match goes. There is no way for a survivor to know what theyre up against, but the killer gets a little sneak peak at prestige levels on survivors, skins, and items in their hand which can contribute to the way a killer customizes their build. Survivor has been wildly unfun to play, especially solo queue, for the last few months. I am constantly met with tunneling and camping killers in almost every match and when I play with my boyfriend (who started playing a little under a year ago and hasn't gotten that good at countering killers or looping yet), he always gets tunneled out. I try to help my team as much as possible by maintaining the objective and taking chase for people who are death hook, but it usually results in a 3k-4k for the killer almost every time.

As a solo que expert....I play Elf Dwight with Calm Spirit (or Distortion), Flashbang, Inner Strength (or Kindred), Overcome or Balacned Landing. I will pick one survivor and make sure that person makes it out or I do and i consider that win. Fun as fuck.

As a killer main I would honestly make you escape if I was that Wesker. You did realy good and you came back for the teamate, so I would let everyone out. 7:15

It’s nice to see a real killer main admit how abysmal it is to play and main survivor. Everyone else swears to god this game is survivor sided, meanwhile nobody on the survivor side has any fun like 90% of the time. i know i’m not.

I started DBD about 2 years ago and even I can feel the difference in Solo Q. It’s miserable. I can go through 10+ games without getting all 5 gens completed in a match/without an escape. The current meta is wild, but I get it. Corrupt, Pain Res, Pop, Grim Embrace/Dead Man’s Switch. It’s becoming increasingly less fun. Do I keep playing? Yes, yes I do. I just think we need more information on our solo q teammates to level the playing field with swfs.

You should add “any means” to pick the pallets back up and then “built to last” to replenish your keys usage!

Ok if you wanna basically see the killer whenever, run, the key with the amber, scene partner, object, troubleshooter

While 4 man squads dominate most killers playing solo is a recipe to lose against even freddy or trapper. No info + randos = high chance for a early death = no chance to win

I'll play Dbd maybe once a week and yesterday I played Legion with his perk that lets you see people at the beginning of the game. Someone took that addon where they all spawn in the same spot, so I had a really fun game :)

That Windows of Opportunity description is a major vibe. It's gotten to the point that I am starting to be able to tell which Survivors are using it just by how they run.

Great video! And yeah, SoloQ has been a pain for several months now.

This is basically my main build except sometimes I use hope instead of windows and lithe instead of balanced. Troubleshooter is such an underrated perk and genuinely one of the best solo Q perks in my opinion

I switched from playing killer mostly to almost exclusively playing survivor. Once your mmr gets high enough playing killer feels awful. At least on survivor if the game sucks or I get tunneled I can just quickly go next.

I started out as a survivor main, but when I switched to killer I hardly ever touch survivor.

Just realised this is my usual build.... and i still die. Then again, but i only have ~200 hours, but when i look at other people they have 3000 plus

I'm not sure, it's pretty close to when Eruption and Call of Brine was on EVERY killer. Not saying it's any better now, but I'm not sure which time was worse.

troubleshooter is in like all of my builds i can't live without it anymore

Dbd is a depressing experience without a SWF then when you have a good one a killer cries because the SWF is good saying survivors are to powerful

I’m terrible as a survivor main, especially since I only play solo q. I find the build I have the most success with is Deliverance; Inner Strength; Overcome; Unbreakable. Deli is tough, especially if you’re first chase, but more often than not I can get value out of it. IS I save for when I’m final hook typically. Overcome is great for extending chase if you’re like me and suck at looping. And Unbreakable because, you know. Slugging.

Playing solo has to be one of the most painful things to do in this game. Hell, even playing in a 3 stack can be rough as 1 random is sometimes all it takes for a match to be over before it even begins. Idk what's gotten into people lately, but it's out of control and ruining queuing up with anything less than a 4 stack.

The Solo Q experience over the last few months is what made me start playing killer. Solo Q is horrible- getting tunneled for the majority of the match while gens don't get done, only to be left on hook while the Dwight and Claudette teabag at the gate. Even SWF isn't very fun these days, but I'd rather play a diff game than play Solo Q DBD.

All I play is solo-q. For sure has gotten way more difficult recently, doesn’t help that every killer is bringing builds to smash teams of 4, leaving us solo-q players who have zero communication to get stomped hard….then the killer wonders why the team composed of 4 solos are feeling slightly salty when he/she ends us at 3 gens. Those same solo players join a team of 4 and smash killers into submission. And just like that, the cycle continues.

Trouble shooter is definitely a solid under rated perk.

Im a survivor main and some killers have fun simply making survivors lives not fun. It really is a struggle sometimes to want to come back and play this game because of it.

Granted I’m a killer main so maybe I don’t play survivor enough to get the miserable feeling, but it’s the complete opposite for me when I play survivor. I usually have 0 stress playing survivor exceptions being usually from other survivors that d/c right away or give up for petty crap. Not discrediting others experiences as clearly from the comments it’s been rough lately but just found it interesting because for me it’s the complete opposite.

If you haven't tried trouble shooter and scene partner with resi and Lithe you get good chases if you know how to loop correctly

If only these killer players ever just went after any other survivor instead of chasing one person the entire match (or those segments were kept in the video if they did).

if you want consistent eyes on the killer than try this build dark sense- after a gen is completed, coming in a 24 metre range of the killer you see their aura for 10 seconds wire tap- after completing 50% of a gen you can choose to put wire tap on that gen or a gen with no progress (i prefer the no progress one as its less likely to be kicked) you see the killers aura for 120 seconds in a 14 metre range (works best on shack gen or a tile gen) -lithe- when you vault. SPEED! and this perk fluctuates but i either do strength in the shadows- after healing in the basement you see the killers aura for 10 seconds or an ordinary perk such as windows of opportunity or resilience this build paired with a key is MWAH chefs kiss

Solo q being Hell is an understatement 😅 It's a joke. Not only do you have horrible randoms but also toxic same gameplay killers. Still love the game, just hoping behavior helps soli more. I tbh would like a bond have a buff, where you see them, but they don't see you. No joke

If you switched out balanced landing for Any Means you would've had a 10/10 build for Aura-Looping! None-the-less, well played! ✊🏼

They honestly need a better match making too cause they will be survivors that should be red rank but intentionally stay at a lower like bronze or ash just so they can torture killers
