This tank was MAD OP in World of Tanks! 

Yeah this thing is pretty tragic when it gets uptiered, because the play style is very aggressive and heavy-tank like but at higher tiers your armor isn’t really that good and your gun can’t do that well at range. At the right MM it literally is a tier 7 Bobject

The Chi-To SP is hands down the best tank for this role after these nerfs

They need to do real game balancing like removing the plus 2 matchmaking and reworking tech tree grinds. It's insane trying to get xp in a bottom tier stock tank when the rest of the enemy are running fully upgraded tanks and can out trade you every single time.

With the right MM this is basically the Bobject at tier 7. It has been broken as hell since it went from glass cannon to brutal cannon. The nerf was necessary for it. If it doesn't have better wr is due to the fact that at tier 9 matches it's just a bug vs Phase 1, Type 4 Heavy, Tortoise, E75...and that kept it in check

The 263 is and has been my favorite in this tech tree line

I am currently grinding this techtree (on the Su101 now) and I really loved this tank so much to grind, I even used my bounty improved aiming to boost the accuracy on this tank (because I hate inaccurate tanks). It took me unusually long to get an ace tanker on this tank, roundout 50 games, normally it takes me like 30-40 games to ace. The requirments are quite high. Sad that its getting nerfed, but thats fair tbh.

I don't mind the nerf, but what I hate is how underhand it is. Why are they not clearly publishing the nerf on the page with all the other info. Kinda crappy behaviour

i think the most mad op thing in this game is light tank jump from t7 to t8. t7 light against t8 light is just stupid. and not that the tank itself is worse, that is fine, but the CVS difference, that is mad. i like playing against t9 tanks in a t7 light tank, but mm should not allow t8 and t7 lights mix.

So they nerf the M1 back to what it was. In the past when I played it, the only real armor was around the gun. (+ glas cannon) It was hard to play but it was fun. The next tank (SU-101) had one of the worst economy in the game back then and you only had the (second) T-54 gun with 219 pen and 320 dmg as top gun. (Like playing pure gold with a less capable E25 against Tier 10.) The formula for this TD tech tree was: You are good against your tier, okay against the tier above and worse against the top tier. From Tier 9 on you had a better tank (SU-122-54) like a T-54 tank destroyer with the T-10 gun. I still wish to this day WG had kept the tech tree as it was with the 263 as Tier 10.

Now, try doing that on NA servers. Even pre-nerf, the armor on this meant absolute dick. EVERYONE spams gold no matter WHAT tier you play at.

Seeing everyone call this tank OP at tier 7 makes it obvious why wargaming doesn't listen to the players very often. Especially while everyone complains premium tanks are always better than the tech tree tanks. Then most people complains when a tech tree tank is even comparable. I love this game but the fan base is extremely fickle.

the 263 always was the one i enjoyed most. The 268/4 just seemed like a stinker for me with that goofy weakpoint on top while the 263 only really had the lower plate to worry about

This thing was a bit of a special tank to me. It was my second fastest ace tanker, only taking me four games. For someone like me who generally doesn't do well enough to get ace tankers, I was super thrilled. I'm a bit sad to see it nerfed, but it kind of deserved it.

The first game after unlocking the top gun in this tank,was an ace for me.This thing stock isn't bad at all. Su-100m1 and chi to sp are basically the best t7s atm

I think the su-100m1 nerf on ther armor is a must, but the lack of traverse really holds this vehicle back, although not too bad of dpm.

Remember when this tank had thin armor, but it was quick and had good camo? Oh, and 175 mm of penetration.

This tank was absolutely OP especially against less knowledgeable players. I up tiered to the next one and kept this one (usually i sell tanks once i get to higher tier). When i want to have fun i go back to this one.

Hey QB, just want to say I have been watching since I started playing WOT and love your content. I recently got my first RW Medal and managed to do so in the FV4005, even destroyed a few lights from full health in 1 shot ahah. Thought I’d share, keep up the amazing work! Edit - I’ve been playing WOT casually for 2/3 years for context (and only play British vehicles, RULE BRITANIA!)

It's great when you get good MM, but let's be real: On a good day you might get 1 game in 10 where you're top tier at T7. The rest are T9, or T8 OP Premium-fests. But, typical WG: "Let's nerf the tech-tree tanks, because we can't make £££s with those."

A bit unrelated to the video, but I would love to know your opinion of the upcoming server updates to ASIA with the cloud based server to replace Hong Kong and Australia i hope it will be good because I either have to have a 5-10 minute queue (only can match tier 8-10) in Australia with 8ms ping or a fast queue but 440ms ping to HK. Even just getting 200ms ping would be amazing

Seems like I was always put in higher tier games with this tank when I played through it . Tier 8s would track you and get you’re side.

I loved this line when i played them through. You had to be a bit bold, but it sure did pay off. Still love and play the 263 regularly.

I'm done with WoT, sick and tired of them destroying tanks.

When those came out, the SU-100M1 and SU-101 were painful to play. They buffed the everliving bejesus out of them while I wasn't playing the game anymore and I came back and they had become insanely strong. I remember the Tier 8 had gotten to the point where it had armor that I stopped even trying to pen from the front with anything that wasn't insane overkill, and where it used to have that 100mm D-54 gun from the T-54. Now it has TD version of the excellent 122mm M62. That's the same gun that the old SU-122-54 used to use at tier 9, and the T10/IS-8 uses as a tier 9 heavy. That M62 gun is a respectable gun on a tier 10, and quite strong on a Tier 9. On a tier 8 that gun is just dumb. At least they didn't give the SU-100M1 the D-54 and kept it at the LB-1. That's not a stellar gun for a T7 TD, but it's very adequate and that's the idea...

WG and QB are wrong. And I do not disagree with QB very often but Stop nerfing tech tree tanks. Some of us players are not as good as QB and others good players. We never will be that good, whether it’s because we’re older or have something in our lives that we will never be as good as them or even make it to average. But having a couple tech tree tanks that are powerful, give us a tank to play and maybe even the playing field for us. It’s only a few which makes our choice is very limited, but at least we have them choices to help us. So QB and WG. Stop nerfing tech tree tanks. 🤘😎 Tankers

This tank was amazing at tier 7 for me, but the tier 8 su 101 is a pain to play for some reason, especially with its stock grind. :(

Having all tanks balanced/equal will get boring and difficult for a lot of us players with disabilities or older and not good hand & eye coordination. So what’s wrong with us having a few vehicles that are slightly better.

Oh well, another favorite tank I'll probably set aside.

stock t44 tier 6 gun that has 126 pen and 160 alpha it maybe the worst tanks to grind when it stock and bad crew its just pain

I mean, that Type64 have all the rights to assume his team is gonna fail. You can rarely find players who can do well in these kinds of scenarios.

Amazing how out of touch you can be with the game after not playing it for a while. When I last played this tank it was classed as bad (I did not mind it for its speed) this was back when obj 263 was tier 10! Likewise the SU-122--54 was disliked but I was fine for its mobility :)

So another tank i have to stop grinding. Indeed its kinda OP.

It has absolutely baffled me with the T7 SU-100M1 vs the T8 AT-15.. SU being bottem tier bouncing shells left and right with it's 140mm (angeled) armor. While the AT-15 mid tier with 228mm!! armor did not had rarely of those chances, and that is without the bloody weakpoint being shot on top..

I got my only Kolobanov’s and Pool’s medals in the Su-100m1 back before the 263 line rework. It was still good, but you really needed to know what you were doing and where you can actually fight from in order to do good with it because the armor was only really good enough to troll lower tiers and light tanks and the terrible gun depression was oppressive in regards to where you can actually deploy. It was the patch that buffed the 263 line to the monstrosity the whole line is now that finally convinced me to quit playing WoT.

Thats stupid WG a td with shit overall win % and its next to useless at higher teirs speaks volumes nerfing a tank just because in a very situational occurance it does well. Cmon all they need to do it dab the 2 pay to pen button which most do and it looses even more.
