it's true that if astra wants to use 4 smokes, she can't use her other utility, but the fact of the matter is that in those rounds where you end up using 4 smokes, the value of the smokes is way better than a pull or concuss. The beauty of Astra is that you have the choice to use your stars however you want. With Omen on Ascent, if you use one smoke for a one-way in A-main, and the enemy team rushes B, and you use another smoke for B main, you end up after 35 sec with a new smoke that you can't really get value out of. But with Astra, in that case, you're not forced to use another smoke, you can decide depending on the situation, you can even save your stars (something omen can't do). Also, the biggest problem i have with omen is that his tps and his ult are pretty much useless 90% of the time. Astra's kit is more "complete" in my opinion.

@@Rime_24 on his ult I agree, much less impactful as a team effort except for those spike drop bait then tp to get it as allies get into the other site trick. The "info" side of it doesnt really matter if you can't spin the mouse around fast enough to see anyone before youre shot, this is 7 points unlike cypher's better 6. The TP on the other hand, is a very high skill curve element about him. It's quiet and the noise cue can confuse and double think enemies easily. Pair that with his flash/2nd controller/initiator util and he tps into site undetected into a rat spot. Personally I think Omen and Astra are polar opposite, one's dependent on the team heavily to be effective, the other is an individualist or can be played like oen anyway. Ranked is often unreliable so people pick the SoloQ friendly controller more often and Astra's "high skill ceiling" is depicted much higher than it is, she just needs shot-calling and comms to be effective is all.

@@Rime_24 ​ each one has his advantages. I don’t agree that his tp and ult are useless, I’m not sure exactly how his ult is used in pro play, but I think it adds a lot of pressure especially when pairing his ult with a push on site, his tp is a better way of repositioning

@@ValorJustice you can just force that out early a sage wall is only 40 seconds and a brime molly is like 8 seconds easy to counter

The issue isn't the pick it's how you play it, you can play Brim on any map and if you know how to use his util properly with the proper team comp.

Ascent no duelist comp has become pretty common. But when you have Omen it suits better with his flash and Kayo flash

Teams without a duelist like a 3 initiator comp with chamber and omen is pretty good and common for pro play. So it doesn't strike me as weird unlike a team not running a duelist with brim

I’m a girl and I used to play sage at the beginning because I liked the self healing and I was too afraid to go on agents like Reyna or Phoenix cause they are expected to frag as duelists. Now as I got better aim I ditched that and went full duelist Skye. I get in lower ellos where annoying e girls want to play the “uwu let me heal you” but like at higher levels girls STILL instalock a fucking sage. I’d say in general sense they play an agent that’s more like a support cause they are less aggressive and they think they’d help out the team with healing and resing in case they don’t frag idk

I think men have a better reaction time and hand eye coordination and they are generally better under pressure. That shouldn't excuse them being behind in the meta tho.

Sexism/harassment at every level of play including ranked and pro play so fewer girls are incentivized to pursue a career in gaming. Difference in reaction time etc becomes statistically insignificant with enough training.

@@purplewine7362 that’s not even remotely true. There was a game where an all girls team (Vaevictics) went against all boys team in League or Legends and they lost SEVERELY. No one harassed them they were a professionally signed team. They lost 32-1 I think. There is a video about it. Men are in general better at FPS. Why games like Sims have the biggest female audience? Cause FPS is simply not their genre. Also most of the girls I see in higher elo of Valorant are 95% of the time bottom fragging. It’s very rare to see a top fragging girl. Why does CS not have so many women playing it? Cause it’s not a colorful eye catching game. There are reasons women don’t play some stuff and there is nothing wrong with it. It’s not sexist to say that women are worse at fps just like saying men are worse at artistic games. I’m saying ALL of this as a woman myself

I remember there was a womans tournament in valorant long time ago where one team cheated . and how did they cheat? Well one of the female pro got his boyfriend to play for her during tourney and the bf was no ordinary player . he was singed by another pro team . and guess what happened, that guy crushed those enemies with ease and made it look like he is smurfing in a fkin tourney where every other team was cloud9 and some other well known team. Idk if u can see that match any where rn but man was so agro literally ego peeking everything and killing everyone even casters were amazed how good she (well they didnt its her bf) was playing. His stats were way too fuckin insane .
