This Tiny Camera is PERFECT for Street Photography 

i don't own a camera. i talked with my cousin he said to me that ppl might point me as a creep if i use phone for street photography. he said, "get a bigger camera dress like a professional photographer so won't face problem." idk maybe it depends on region how ppl will react. or it just depends on how u feel comfortable with particular gear.

How the hell do you make multiple videos about this camera, with titles like "This is the PERFECT camera" and fail to mention once in any of those videos the camera model? That's all I'm here for. Waste of my time. For others wondering, its the DSC-W830

Keep it up Hunter! Personally, I think DIGI CAMS are a bit over hyped by some YT'ers. They just found a niche and now producing content to milk this area. In my personal opinion, Digicams released after 2008 will still stand a chance. I had a D-LUX 4/LX3 which i recently sold for double the money (thanks to youtube) I like the B&W hi-dynamic jpeg but some youtubers really made it look the best in their videos.

The Canon 6D with a 1.8 50mm is my daily driver. The Canon S95 is for those times when I can’t/don’t want to lug a DSLR around. The S95 is impressive for it’s size.

This is why I do 90% of my street at 50mm or with old digicams

Cool video Hunter. I would love to see a modern version of these tiny point and shoots. I know we all have phones in our pocket but but to see something really compact like the point and shoots of old with a fixed focal length little pancake lens would be rad. Something like a Ricoh Griii but half the width. Something like that with some cool fuji like film sims would be dynamite. I supposed I'm describing a tinier x100v made specifically for normies.

For shy street pappers (including me) a lower visual profile can be helpful. But really I find the most helpful thing of all is just warming up: once I have taken my first three shots, usually my reserve fades and I become bolder. And those political events one stumbles upon are actually really important (they happen here in England at Trafalgar Square and Whitehall): the rally you witnessed is more accurately described as pro-Russian in sympathy, rather than honestly anti-war; I am pro-Ukraine, but like you I would have hung around to document it because it should be a matter of record.

The problem with a point and shoot camera is that it is too similar to a phone camera that is also just as inconspicuous. I would rather just take pictures with either my phone camera or a mirrorless gear depending on the situation. Or just shoot using the handphone even though it may not feel like a real camera...rather than pay for a point and shoot that does not have much advantages. The difference between a point and shoot and a phone camera is not big enough to justify buying one.
