I was so glad to get to chat at AFTA and your talk was wonderful. I hadnt thought of getting a lighter yak for more exploration. Could you give me a run down on the gear like waders, yak ect? Everytime i try something like this i end up fighting for my life because i have to carry too much or a spider jumps on me 😂
@@Br0nte1 thanks again! It was great finallly seeing some faces at AFTA! This kayak is the Kayak2fish Next gen 10, and the stuff I’m wearing this day was the missing at sea ocean defiance series with gumboots. Nice and lightweight, and good for those drizzly raining days
That section of the creek looks really nice hey 👌🏼 I loved it. Never pushed up that way but it definitely seems worth it! That fish reminds me of the couple I got last month, super well built wild fish 💪🏼💪🏼
@@jamiedouglas2809 floating mate! If you put a split ring on the nose, it’ll become a suspended/very very slow sink. I like this as you can still work it on the surface!
@@alleycat8483 absolutely 💯 I did realise this after editing the video. I was just wanting to get the fish back as soon as possible and forgot in the moment to film the measurements It went 47
Hey mate I was just wondering could you recommend any lures for bass fishing to me and maybe some spots it’s okay if you don’t want to though I understand
@@LukeDixon-dr2xn the bonyswim, any type of walking topwater and the heavy hitters are great for me! Almost every creek along the east coast in SEQ and NSW hold them, just need to put time on the water
@@LukeDixon-dr2xn the heavy hitter is great paddletail, and the mintoss skip frogs are great for surface Honestly, all creeks up that way will hold them! Find the brackish or freshwater and I’m sure you’ll find some
Nothing like bass fishing 😉 my usual go-to is micro-pompadour, bonyswim in the same colour, beetlespin and weedless frogs. Might have to start using your weedless rapala soft plastic a go because it clearly works haha
