I got a runny nose a couple days before filming this video, because my friends and I tried eating Cinnabons off the floor. Also, this description has one hundred forty-seven letters.

@@erenerbay They're usually considered a distinct class, as adjectives are more about qualities of the head noun, while numerals are more about the quantity of the head noun.
@@tibethatguy my main language isn't english so i don't know exactly if it's true. But if it's the same across all languages then they should be adjectives.
Thanks! I've had a folder of "goofy impact sound effects" for a few years, and it has 10 files, so it's fun that I can just hook it up to my typing animation, and it's suddenly 10x funner to watch!

what if, now hear me out a sentence in cary's palindrome maker which references not only how many letters it has, but also how many palindrome turntables there are
@@geeteevee7667 Cary’s palindromes don’t need to be perfect, so we can simply take one of these letter sentences and then use the railway method Cary showed in his palindrome video to make a palindromic self-describing sentence
are you suggesting that a mad genius could create a black hole by just arranging sixteen a's, three b's, six c's, five d's, fifty-four e's, twelve f's, ten g's, fourteen h's, twenty-three i's, two j's, three k's, seven l's, six m's, twenty-eight n's, fifteen o's, five p's, two q's, seventeen r's, forty-five s's, thirty-six t's, nine u's, eleven v's, nine w's, six x's, twelve y's, twenty-five apostrophes, seven hyphens, many spaces, twenty-eight commas and one question mark in the right order?
I see seven extra letters in the thumbnail, bringing the count to thirty-nine. (being the 'letters' in the bottom-right corner.) This is unacceptable, and will be punished. This is tragic, as the rest of the video was great; self-referentiality makes everything heavenly. The clickety-clack sounds were also music to my ears, and the 'thirteen' segment was chaotically good. Did I mention that the sum of scores of the Scrabble letters of all the words in this comment is six hundred and seventy-two?

Ooo the way the nodes are coloured depending on their distance from a stable node reminds me of how people colour the Mandelbrot Set and other similar fractals! And also this whole idea in general reminds me of xkcd's Self-Description comic. This comment has two-hundred-ninety-three letters.
"I got a runny nose a couple days before filming this video, because my friends and I tried eating Cinnabons off the floor. Also, this description has one hundred forty-seven letters." What a story. Oh, and this comment has exactly two hundred letters.
Instead of doing this manually, it seems pretty easy to make some code to go through all the possibilities for you, which would help a lot for when there's a lot to test.
edit : just in case someone would think otherwise, *this is supposed to be a compliment* Humany has taught me more math than my math teacher all of elementary school years
vidaroni's comment on this video consists of six a's, one b, five c's, five d's, forty-one e's, ten f's, two g's, nine h's, twenty-two i's, one j, one k, three l's, five m's, thirty-four n's, twenty-five o's, six p's, one q, eleven r's, thirty-seven s's, twenty-eight t's, four u's, ten v's, nine w's, four x's, eleven y's, one z, twenty-two apostrophes, nine hyphens, sixty-nine spaces, twenty-nine commas and one period.
this is the sort of thing I never would've thought to do before, but it makes perfect sense once you see it. fun fact: the mathematics that this process is based on is called _discrete-time dynamics,_ and it's the same field of math that the Mandelbrot set comes from!
This sentence contains THIRTY THREE words, ZERO nuclear bombs, ZERO leaked CIA documents, ZERO illegal chess patterns, ZERO probability that your dad comes back, FIVE counts of ZERO, and TWO counts of FOUR.
"I got a runny nose a couple days before filming this video, because my friends and I tried eating Cinnabons off the floor." Cary, your genius is showing
If you color the different spots on the grid based on which infinite loop/solution they lead to, do any interesting patterns show up? Maybe even a fractal?
I love how everyone submitting alternate titles to the dearrow extension agreed to keep the self-reference intact: "This video making self-referential sentences has a title length of eighty-nine characters" "This video showing and making sentences counting words and letters has a title of a hundred and nine symbols."
Isnt the first case the same "all numbers lead to 4" chart but + a constant. If you put the graph onto a wheel you just rotate by the constant given by the unchanging words.
My favorite example of this is: "This pangram contains four As, one B, two Cs, one D, thirty Es, six Fs, five Gs, seven Hs, eleven Is, one J, one K, two Ls, two Ms, eighteen Ns, fifteen Os, two Ps, one Q, five Rs, twenty-seven Ss, eighteen Ts, two Us, seven Vs, eight Ws, two Xs, three Ys, & one Z."
This very comment, that is paraphrased in such a way to avoid being in limbo and/or running out of luck, contains exactly one hundred and twenty-seven letters.
So if we start out with 3 3 4 8 7, there's something interesting we can do with that, which is notice that we can mutate certain graph values without affecting things too much. If you change the number of 4 letter words to 5, it doesn't affect much, as long as you're putting that increase on the number of 4 letter words. That is to say, if you change the number of 4 letter words from 4 to 5, you get 5 four letter words *from that increase*. So "spending" one word on changing the number of 4 letter words from 4 to 5 works. It's "free" way to spend a word, as long as it's the only 4 letter word we add. We can also look at the fact that we *can't* change the number of 2 letter words, meaning we know we're adding at least one 5 letter word. So that 8 is going to at least a 9, so let's increase it by 1 for the number of 3 letter words, which is currently 3 as well, that goes to 10, which increases the number of 3 letter words, but we just fixed the number of those, so that doesn't work. Let's get it to 11, okay, that's an increase of 1 to the number of six letter numbers, which goes from 7 to 8, and that's actually the last number we were looking for! Five letter words must increase from "eight" to "eleven" with the number of 6 letter words increasing to "eight", spending 4 words. So increasing four letter words to "five" spends 1 word, five letter words to "eleven" and six letter words to "eight" spends the other 4. That's all 5 words spent, and because we know that five letter words must increase to "eleven" for stability with two and three letter words fixed at "three", four letter words are the only place we can spend the last word. That's how you can both derive 3 3 5 11 8 as a solution, and prove it's the only possible solution, both without an exhaustive search.
This comment contains ninety-two letters in the first sentence, and forty-two letters in the second sentence. That's one hundred thirty-four letters altogether!
Only the fool would take trouble to verify that his sentence was composed of ten a's, three b's, four c's, four d's, forty-six e's, sixteen f's, four g's, thirteen h's, fifteen i's, two k's, nine l's, four m's, twenty-five n's, twenty-four o's, five p's, sixteen r's, forty-one s's, thirty-seven t's, ten u's, eight v's, eight w's, four x's, eleven y's, twenty-seven commas, twenty-three apostrophes, seven hyphens and, last but not least, a single !
Does anyone realize that 142857 (the number used at 1:43) when you multiply it by 2,3,4,5, or 6, it cycles all the digits? And when you multiply by 7, you get 999999
3:09 wait a minute isn’t this like a reference to that prisoner problem where there’s 100 prisoners and if they get all their numbers they get to escape, but if one of them doesn’t get it, they all die
