honestly it just takes game knowledge and outsmarting them. cheesers only have one thing that they wanna exploit ("good" cheesers have 2-3 things maybe). once you know what it is they want to exploit, you have to have the game knowledge of how to defend against it. it'll end up with you taking more damage than you'll like, but cheesers suck anyway so you'll be able to beat them in other aspects of the game
