15:19 "Is there anything else that I need to look out for on this god forsaken track?" Then almost two minutes later at 17:17 on the same attempt that Lewis said that on, that happens. I completely forgot how wonky Android Alley was in CNK.
I love how in this game, Aku Aku's like, "sorry, Crash, my voodoo magic's no match for trains." Like just the idea of a magic being that's afraid of trains is funny to me. 😂 It's actually one of my favorite parts of the cannon.
Android Alley is definitely a tough one to beat in Crash Nitro Kart. The train gets in the way sometimes. I do wish they would’ve improved the gameplay in the original Crash Nitro Kart. After all of those attempts, finally, you have beaten the Velo Time Trial on Android Alley.
Man, I'm getting PTSD from watching this one! I recall playing this track when I was younger and I struggled to even beat N. Tropy! If it wasn't for the anti-grav half-pipe tunnel at the beginning, this track would be worlds easier! That train honestly makes it one of my least favorite in the game! 15:00 Lewis genuinely scare me! 😅 Though, to be fair, that was the most heartbreaking ending to _any_ of his Crash time trial runs! 17:17 That was just very odd. I've actually never seen that happen before. This game had a lot of weird physics and glitches.
A section of the train hit him as it flies(in lightspeed) across to the other end of its path. It's bad game design that it can still hit you in two areas of the track while doing that.
If I have to take a guess about what happened at 17:17, the fact that you hit the "uphill wall" at 17:15 (and that's not supposed to happen) maybe triggered some checkpoints flags later (the game thinks you're in a place you shouldn't be because you're not racing correctly, and you're trying to use some unintended shortcut, so it teleports you where it thinks you should be): the same thing happens on the unintended shortcut on Papu's Pyramid track ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uR-hNG3Dtfk.html ) but that is just some speculation.
@@Squidfthatch Yep that was part of the train flying across immensely fast from the end of its path to the other end. For whatever reason they designed parts of the train to transport across the track once it reaches the end of its path, instead of just spawning it to the other end.
To answer your questionable flattening at 17:17, uphills in Nitro Kart are just wonky as hell by default, especially on tracks like Clockwork Wumpa. The pad before the big jump sometimes will have you go through the whole thing and fall off the track altogether. I guess in this case, you got flattened by the track geometry instead.
This was interesting, I guess there’s different level of speed from turbo pads like In ctr. You can kinda hear it in the sound of the kart plus that’s how you caught up so fast at 07:49 I know there’s no reserves in this game but learning there’s atleast that machanic that’s cool
I definitely think you'll have better luck with the Final Two Tracks. Electron Avenue, You just have to be careful with the barbed fence that go on and off as you know. Hyper Spaceway, You just have to be quick and there is a way you can reach the second half of the shortcut. When heading out before the final jump, Go pass all the way to the left side of the Green light then immediately swoosh and turn left to go on the Ancient ramp and jump! You'll Definitely need Velo for this! Hope that makes sense and helps you.
Yeah the physics in that train tunnel are weird. The game does some weird speedy stuff like it wants you to do a 360 pop shove it up the halfpipe like Tony Hawk
man _this_ is this one I’m looking forward to doing the least. for some reason I am absolutely incapable of consistently pulling off the shortcut, and that godforsaken tunnel bit at the beginning. not gonna be a great time I can tell.
When nitro fueled came out and all the antigravity tracks were replaced by more conventional versions, I was a little disappointed. Having been watching this series, I think I'm not disappointed anymore. The antigravity sections are nauseating.
WumpaLewis, here's a tip that will help you in time trials, when you are about to jump off a ramp do not jump just to get the boost, instead keep power sliding of the ramps, jumping will slow you down in this game
This video just made me realise how much further they improved ctr and cnk. hopefully there will be an awesome crash bash remake or similar party game, with at least same amount of effort put into.
Wow I never got the flattening thing, I only fell through the floor once :^) In my opinion, this is the second worst track after Barin Ruins, luckily Electron Avenue and Hyper Spaceway are nowhere near as bad, even if you don't cheese Electron
Damn…..seein’ the tracks in THIS game again after seein’ ‘em in CTRNF makes me realize all but 4 of ‘em looked dead & were absolute EYESORES originally
That was the train(only parts of it), but surprisingly it's not a glitch cause it's actually parts of the train being flown across the track from one end of its path to the other end and unfortunately it can still hit you when that happens so it's a bad game design moment. You can actually go to a part of the track to watch the train pieces fly off across the track.
I never got to play the original Nitro Kart, but watching this I think I can safely say that Nitro-Fueled saved our asses by getting rid of that anti-gravity shit on the Nitro Kart tracks.
I love watching you do these time trials, but it's sad to see you're running out of levels quite quickly - would you consider doing all platinum relics in Crash 3? Would be a fun watch!
By the way, no. The last two tracks are not that bad. I mean, Hyper Spaceway is pretty hard but Electron Avenue might just be the easiest track to beat Velo on despite how long it is
@@LordTchernobog well I wouldn't say it sucks, frustration from the controls definitely but there is still something about it I can't put my finger on that makes it great imo.
@@themenacingsloth I think the artistic vision and look was better in Nitro kart for this particular track... of course Nitro fueled is graphically more appealing but the art style for this track is better in Nitro kart.
