The traditional food shared in this video is called Tubani. it is made from black eyes beans flour and water. Its eaten with peanut sauce. It is a very popular dish in the northern part of Ghana. Fusena is Ghanaian woman living in the north. She makes and shares this dish with her family almost on a daily basis. In this video she teaches us this simple African food recipe.

Very interesting, however I'm sure traditionally they would have used leaf to wrap the food as opposed to using those plastic bags. I fear for Ghanaians with the use of plastic, the plastic seeps into the food and it's very bad, it causes so much health problems, there should be a campaign to stop the use of plastic.

Great content Jazmin. Re- the use of plastic in cooking. They used to wrap the tubanni in leaves but it seems now-a-days plastic is replacing everything. People even wrap TZ, rice balls and banku in plastic everywhere. Perhaps they can't get the leaves anymore. 😞

An interesting bit of food for sure, wonder what type of bean is that made with? I'd just add some sort of hot sauce and more onions and peppers lol. Yeah Queen/Bliss, you should learn to drive a motorcycle, its cheaper to own, and it can take you places that most cars can't. You make that bike look good though. Thanks for sharing, Be Blessed.

That look like a good high protein vegan snack. Our people of Africa have been Blessed with such rich organic foods. If they had knowledge of the aluminum pot why would they use it to spoil the food. If the leaders are not making them aware of it, at lease we can do is keep having conversation about it and pray that the word spread. May God continue to Bless our people and may God continue to bless you Jasmine Ama.

Wrap it nicely, tie it & cook it. Leaves are also healthier and environmentally friendly. I've got some powdered beans, time to try my skills!!
