Pine Tree Pollen contains Testosterone and a bunch of other vitamins and minerals. I'm foraging from an Eastern White Pine tree ( Pinus strobus) and making bark baskets as well. I show how to use pine pollen powder and create Pine Pollen Tinctures. I also cover the benefits of pine pollen.

How much does is actually influence testosterone levels? Like does it just boost natural T a little or does it cause any actual noticeable difference in testosterone levels?

The liver destroys androgens. Lab made oral androgens are methylated to preserve them from liver enzymes. Which makes them liver toxic. This is why exogenous testosterone is injected and not orally administered.
@Pzychotix
@Pzychotix Месяц назад
Like the above said, 0.8mg for 10g. A starting dose of TRT starts at like 100mg. Additionally, the pine pollen is ingested orally unlike TRT which is injected directly, so some if not most (maybe even all) of it is going to go to waste. Studies on oral ingestion of pure testosterone show that less than 200mg have little to no effect. That means over 2 kg of pine pollen, assuming the testosterone of pine pollen was as bioavailable as pure testosterone. There's a reason testosterone is injected, not ingested.
@chrisj8961
@chrisj8961 Месяц назад
Cool info, but.. Oral ingestion of androgenic hormones has no effect on blood saturation due to nonuniform absorption, and the potential for hepatotoxicity when methylated to bypass the first pass effect - via the portal vein to the liver. One would be better off, taking adequate amounts of the nutrients required to produce testosterone, such as zinc, magnesium, vitamin D3, B6, B12 and supplementing with herbs containing compounds known to manipulate the release of free testosterone. As well as consuming the raw material for its production, such as cholesterol, DHA, EPA. And maintaining healthy blood sugar levels.

Pine pollen had been used for additive ingredient of sweets in east asia. Of course pollen itself is far from being sweet, it was added with honey and shaped like a biscuit.

I don't know off the top of my head if this is actually correct, it seems pretty suspect from everything I know about botany but not impossible. What I DO know is that it is 100% NOT a good idea for an average man to just start ingesting testosterone in ANY form. Your body has systems that control your serum testosterone levels. Those systems tell your body when levels are too low and increase production. If you add testosterone from an outside source your body will notice and STOP producing testosterone to match so your usable testosterone levels will remain consistent UNLESS you take so much testosterone that you completely replace natural production then exceed it. There are also serious long term ramifications where the supplimental testosterone triggers your body to lower natural production and it DOES NOT immediately return once the T is no longer being supplimented. This is why they are incredibly careful about putting men on TRT and do so only after exhausting all other treatment options, and once they go on you should NEVER come off because its unlikely your usable testosterone will ever rebound fully. Thats doubly true for men over the age of about 34. Instead (and i know its less fun, and not an easy no effort solution) you should increase physical activity, specifically weight training and resistance training but NOT cardio because that actually decreses testosterone production. You should get 8 hours of sleep every night on a consistent schedule, and get lots of sunlight. All these things cause your body to call for the production of more testosterone, and if done consistently that increase in production will be somewhat permanent. Thats why when guys that work out a lot stop working out due to an injury or something they are still larger than men who never worked out. Because their body is used to needing that extra test and thinks it will need it again eventually.

There are actually way more plants that contain phytoestrogen (plant estrogen) than testosterone, they're much more common. However phytoestrogen is very weak compared to mammalian estrogen and might not have the effects you're looking for. I don't know of any that have actual estrogen. Soybeans are the most common and most famous for containing decent amounts of phytoestrogen
