Loved your reaction to this film. This is an amazing a cappella group, probably the best IMO. The Prayer is a great place to start since you heard some of it in this reaction. They have over ten years of work in their catalogue. In those years there has only been one member change. The current bass, Matt Sallee, replaced Avi Kaplan in 2017. Scott, the tall blonde, Kirstie, and Mitch, the dark haired guy with the mustache, and Kevin, the beat boxer and singer, have been with the group since the beginning. Please continue down this rabbit hole. You won’t be disappointed and the Pentaholics ( PTX fans) will all follow you. 💕💕

I think their motto is 'leave the ego at the door.' The band was formed in 2011 and has only had one member change. They have won three Grammys, multiple gold and platinum albums, played to sold out houses on tour including the LA Forum and in 2019 they appeared at Madison Square Garden. One of their 2021 Evergreen Tour concerts had over 11,000 attendees. They have over 200 songs, some covers (actually upgrades) and two albums of original songs. Checked definition of 'homophonic' --"Having or characterized by a single melodic line with accompaniment. The definition of homophonic is having one sound or line of melody at a time that is played by multiple instruments at the same time." In this case, the instruments are their voices.

Definitely check out The Prayer, Bohemian Rhapsody, Daft Punk, Sound of Silence, Hallelujah the list goes on. Their originals are fantastic too. Happy Now, Sing, Coffee in Bed, you can't go wrong with them really. There was only member change in their entire history. Avi was the original bass he left the band in 2017. Matt came in towards the end of 2017 and has been there ever since. Mitch and Kirstie change their looks a lot. If you have to ask "is that Mitch?" The answer is always yes.

I really like your reactions to this so I am going to hit your sub button with hopes that you will continue with Pentatonix along with your other reactions. They are amazing and they cover all genres from rap to Amazing Grace.

A bit of background for this group. They started on a competition called The Sing Off. The deal was, if they won they would get $200,000 and a Sony recording contract. They won the show, the money and the record deal. They moved from Texas to LA. Two weeks later SME dropped them. They took the money and started making RU-vid videos. Like their Daft Punk video. That was created for a total of $400. Was recorded in a closet and filmed in a kitchen ,of an apartment that Avi and Kevin shared at the time. They won a Grammy. The rest is history. Funny thing is, SME (Sony Music Entertainment) is the label the they use now. I would of loved to be a fly on the wall, when mighty SME came begging for them to come back. Exciting news if you are a pentaholic. On September 22, they released a NEW single. Prayers For This World. Off of their NEW album Holidays Around The World, that comes out October 28th. They also, announced their new tour in a STUNNING way. It's a teaser for their NEW version of Joy To The World. Amazing and does exactly what it's intended to do. Leaves us wanting MORE MORE MORE. Welcome to the pentaholic community 🙏🏾❤️. There are many of us, and we love searching for new reactors. Your reaction to this video made me just as excited and I've already seen it like 30 plus times. I look forward to seeing you discover this amazingly talented and just pure honest music loving band. Their music and their style resonates with a lot of people and it moves folks to tears at times. I suggest you check out their origin. Three out of five have known each other since childhood in Arlington Texas (Kirstie, scott, and Mitch). All five of them got together for an acapella singing competition called The Sing-Off. If you really want to see them develop start from there and watch that competition there's about 12 to 15 episodes of the show from back in 2011. I know you’re a huge fan of YEBBA and funny enough, I heard of her when one of Pentatonix’s members, Scott Hoying, mentioned loving her song, ‘My Mind’. You and I both know that song was amazing. Been loving her stuff ever since thanks to knowing Pentatonix. I sure hope you dig into their music now. I loved your reaction to this, especially with this being your first exposure to Pentatonix. I really hope you react to more of them (Pentaholics will flock to your channel if you do) because they truly are the premiere acapella group. I recommend The Prayer since you heard a bit of it here, and also I Just Called to Say I Love You and Amazing Grace, but for non-Christmas related songs, I always recommend New Rules x Are You That Somebody, Mad World, The Sound of Silence, La La Latch (which has their original bass Avi, who has left the group amicably and replaced by Matt who is in this video), and really there are too many songs to recommend because they are amazing. This group has been around for 11 years and they just keep getting better and better.

I loved your reaction to this video and to Pentatonix and I really hoped to hear more from you with Pentatonix reactions. I noticed in your video history that other than two other videos that this one has received the MOST views and that your goal is to reach at least 10k viewers by the end of the year. Do you know how to do that??? DO MORE PENTATONIX VIDEOS!!!! Literally, if you start reacting to more Pentatonix videos you will have more viewers than you know what to do with - almost overnight! Did you notice how many in your comments here said they were subscribing because you did a Pentatonix review AND because your review was great! You will find very loyal fans among the Pentaholics. I had thought to subscribe, but I usually wait until I've seen a couple videos to determine whether or not I click that button. Since I never saw another review come out I didn't pull the trigger on subscribing. Just note that you will likely have a problem with having videos blocked. I've seen reviewers put up their own logo over the top of the video for a few seconds every 10-15 seconds or so and that seems to satisfy the copyright issue. So, please consider going down the Pentatonix rabbit hole and react to more of their music! You will likely be very happy with any of their "Evolution" videos, as they are informal and done live. Start with Michael Jackson or the 90's Dance Medley or even Daft Punk - one that they won a grammy for (one of their 3 grammy's by the way). Hope to see some more Pentatonix coming from you!

Pentatonix doesn't often let people in on their process like this so I was really excited when they recently put this out. There is an earlier video, an excerpt from their 2014 tour vlog where they are just starting an arrangement of Pharrell's "Happy". The best thing about them is that there are no egos involved at all. You noticed when Mitch said I'm the only on doing movement here so you all can listen to me and do what I do. There is a beginners guide to Pentatonix that tells you how they got together to you can just put that in the search box or if you need me to link it just ask.
