You know what's a great idea? Scale this up 4x and make a patio umbrella with built in fans and misters.

Add solar to the top to auto-power the fan and an adjustable timer for the mist sprits and you have yourself a great hot day patio umbrella. Though, now it's probably going to be a 500 dollar umbrella.

James, you're just too kind. For this price, I think it's a dud. The fan only works for still wind conditions and the mister doesn't seem to mist, it rains. I think the bottle hanging at the bottom would be too heavy for me after awhile, too.

The point of the fan is a light freeze to cool the mist, so if there’s a breeze outside you won’t feel the fan On. And it sprays the top of the umbrella and soaks the mesh so the fan is blowing cool air. I think a better understanding of the intended use would have helped you lol, but if there’s average person doesn’t know then that’s the company’s fault lol.
@DarKnightKilla13
@DarKnightKilla13 12 дней назад
Seems to me like as a proper UV/sun-blocking umbrella it's well made... but the fan and mist features need a little more fleshing out. Nice to see the batteries last a ridiculously long time instead, though. Guarantees at least a full day of use. This certainly seems to also not be a good product for humid areas, although the fan might be kind of alright. I think some of these products just need a few tweaks, like a bigger and stronger fan motor and then bam it's good to go.

The only real use for something like this would be at an amusement park imo. It's the only place you would have access to free water, would probably be out in the sun long enough to warrant using it, and have enough places to rest or prop the umbrella down so your arms don't get tired. At around $50, it's not outrageously expensive for an umbrella. It's a bit expensive but not so much that it's complete nonsense to get this over a regular umbrella. Especially since the umbrella itself seems pretty well-made.

They are definitely onto something, but I think I'll wait until they make a v2. A big flaw they'll need to address is how it sprays/mists water - All the water that didn't spray on you is going to collect in the top when you put it down, which means that you'll get a splash of old water the next time you use it.

I feel it needs a V2.0 with a vent at the top (a layer on a layer with a gap) to pull in more air, a more water absorbent, finer gauze under the mister, and the mist need to be waaay lighter, like perhaps the ultrasonic type, with settings. Then it might aid the aged in dangerously high heat, like Dr Michael Mosley needed. RIP.
