Our third most-ordered dish is that of Spag-Bol, with Tom Yum, Spicy Thai Pizza, Gaeng Daeng, (Red Thai Curry) Chicken Penang, and a good, old-fashioned, US-styled quarter-pounder, with all the trimmings, adding to a full menu of Thai and international cuisine. They have a saying out here that loosely translates as, ' They who provide life-giving sustenance, unashamedly express the most sincere form of love. Seldom a truer word ever spoken. Having watched the vids of your recent travels in sunny Siam, this one particularly, indicates to us that you are obviously smitten with one of the finest nations that God, or Buddha, ever put breath into, and understandably so. What a place !! First thing that comes to me when I see these places is ‘how on earth did they build that’ absolutely stunning. It sounded like you were almost apologising for not have a completely Thai style meal, but as you said, it’s all about what you fancy at the time, so absolutely no need to apologise. You enjoyed it which is the main thing.

I never though of Spaghetti Bolognais as being light but id did look good. Just because you are in Thailand doesn't mean you need to eat Thai food, eat what you feel like. You can also compare Spaghetti from Thailand to what you are used to in the UK. Keep the vlogs coming and I'll continue to watch. Thanks DJ.

been living in Thailand for about14 years now, Koh Samui...best move I ever made, the UK is a right mess..we can get everything here food and beer wise. I have fancied a trip to Krabi, looks great..I have travelled a lot in Thailand and I use Thailand as a base to travel around South East Asia, yeah, like what I have seen so far of Krabi.good videos DJ.

Oh Darren, to not try Thailand's signature dish, Seafood or Prawn Tom Yum soup is a crime. You think your City Spice Devils Tongue curry is hot, try the Tom Yum soup, xtra spicy 😊

Spag Bol in Fern Gully is just a testament to how great that dish is. Us Brits started adopting it almost 100 years ago. There should be an annual spag bol competition in the U.K.

Try the street food BBQ chicken Darren. You may see some of them road side when you are on the bike. They use an amazing glaze on their BBQ in Thailand. Always cooked well , and probably about a quid per piece, no more. You can usually buy sticky rice and papaya salad from the same seller, they go together.

Wow amazing place Darren you certainly know how to do travel vlogs. Certain channels don't do culture say don't want to learn. I find that ignorant and insulting to other countries. We can learn everyday isn't that what life is about discovering new cultures places etc

If you hook up with a local woman and go to where she eats, you'll get a more authentic taste. Won't necessarily be enjoyable for you, can try isaan food, plus the tropical fruit.

It's a very easy place to live, as long as you can accept the differences, and at times frustrations. I am curious as to whether your experience here so far is making you reconsider your long term plans? Could you see yourself living here, too?

No Pad Thai in Thailand? Isn't that illegal? 😆I always used fresh or frozen shrimp in mine, the Mexican dried shrimp I could get was way too strong . No wonder they use them in Moles. A Vietnam Vet I knew said they adored Cow Pot, if you can find it, it's a beef dish. That's how he pronounced it, maybe Khao Pad? Definitely beef, he said the man they got it from usually used water buffalo meat. At least the pasta and sauce were "married" correctly, I agree a thicker sauce more to my taste.
