I have been using this for weeks. It is also hella fun with gunpowder gamble. You almost always have your dynamite ready to go. You have great survivability in raids, GMs or dungeons. Doesn't matter. When I play with strangers they have asked WTF am I doing because you rarely see anyone using this exotic. Thanks for the idea about an attrition orbs sword. I will have to take that for a spin.
@@AllThePlayers it hardcore carried me during day 1 for the first encounter, being able to just throw myself into the fray and just jolt everything made most combat encounters a breeze
i've been using this one since i got gifted conviction and it's turned me from a warlock main into a hunter main. it's a blast to play and the weird sword interactions give some extra viability to one of my favorite weapon types
Happy Gifted Conviction is getting it's moment! After seeing a load of people totally write it off I wasn't too fussed, mainly "The little Arc Skip Grenades do literally no damage! What's the point!?" Then I saw a "You're using it wrong" video. Gave it a shot & it's pretty much all I use on my Hunter atm & I've been a DIEHARD Renewal Revenant for years. Used it in Onslaught, nothing like your solo stuff! Accidentally left jolting skips on from my Shinobus build, that is REALLY funny. Ascension for the initial spawn jolt, then as some of the beefier enemies follow in skip grenade as you're falling down & any trash get destroyed & you can clean up the beefier targets with ease. Use a Voltshot Ikelos SMG for the extra DR & Barriers. Long comment but! At first I was saying Arcstrider needs a ground slam melee now, still think that would be fun but someone on YT comments mentioned a Heavy Frame Ergo with Arc Conductor so you can slam down from the sky & I haven't looked back!
Having recuperation AND better already is a waste of a slot. Only use the one that gives you big chucks of health on orb pickup. The other one sounds great, but the MOMENT you take 1 pubic hair of damage, it stops your Regen and becomes useless. Trust me, it's not worth the slot.
@@AllThePlayers I love your content. But I do have to say, it's honestly a waste of Spot. That spot should be used for the mod that gives more ammo on pickup (sorry can't remember the name my brain is shot in my old years). Or really anything else. I can't guarantee you if you take off the mod that starts Regen and just leave the other one on, you will not notice that it's gone. If you try it and you think I'm wrong, I'll eat my words. However I stand by my statement pretty firm. Have a good week bro!
Nice work ATP! Good explanation and presentation. Made this my "Destiny Homework" and will try it out in raids and dungeons today. Looks like awesome fun!
I feel like the class exotic item with HOIL/Cytarachyne works better. You still get 30% dr from ascension and woven mail 45% from throwing grenades which you will do constantly bc of HOIL. The ability spam plus defense is just too fun. Plus it opens up a ton of build variety
This is good if you've got that class item. You'll lose out on the 25% - 50% DR from this exotic, and are limited to only Prismatic, but you get to utilize your grenades/melees more. This would be a good choice for now, but I'm curious to see how it plays out in the next episode. Good thing about that one too is that you can use Frost Armor w/ Purpose to get 22.5% DR at max stacks.
Very true. Losing the 30%dr from ascension might hurt for this build next season but currently you could also add an auto rifle in the mix to meet around the same dr you currently have and have that frost armor like you said
I use this with duskfields and threaded spike, but smoke bomb is also good. Normally I use gunpowder gamble, but stylish executioner is better for higher end content. I can gain transcendence in 10 seconds or less. I use lost signal, a light primary, and parasite. My fragments are protection, balance, dawn, hope, purpose, and anything else if using gunpowder gamble for the extra slot. I use golden gun for the restoration on orbs with purpose.
When I got this exotic it was everything I ever wanted for my play style. I’m glad it’s getting some attention because as a Hunter main my goal is to turn everything to an advantage - this gem is just 💪.
I love this with an agressive frame arc conductor ergo. Allows u to slam to the ground after an ascension to jolt everything and just run around chaining arc till u can loop it again. I use base arc so I have access to the throw staff to help with boss damage
I literally just put together a build similar to this. It uses coyote with inmost light, allowing the infinite ascension spam again that used to be possible with rdm. Also i use a stasis sword with chill clip and turnabout for that nice overhield. Its origin dawning surprise also helps with ability uptime and survivability. Artifact mods help this build a lot. I like to pair it with burried bloodline for devour to make sure i never die.
This was great! Thanks for this video ATP. I tried it out in Solo Enigma Protocol and almost finished before time ran out. I'm sure it will be a lock for a clear with a few more runs
I was sold on the Parasite recommendation alone. I used to use that weapon a lot back in the WQ content year, but I haven't in a while. I will bust it out and try this though. This sounds like tons of fun!
I’m not at solo gm skill level yet but for my general gameplay I’ve been running prismatic with caliban-liars-combo blow-duskfield-winters shroud with ex diris and I haven’t had more fun with the game
ATP I recently went back to pure Arc on this build as well, and even crafted another Goldtusk with enhanced chain reaction and enhanced unrelenting (plus indebted kindness). Heavy chain reaction is still very strong, and even in GM content there’s a lot of mass blinding going on. In easier content you don’t need ammo to clear the room. I love my prismatic hunter, but this arc build is tank monster
Love my version of the jelicopter jelicopter build and I don't think it will only last this season for the artifact perk, you explain it, it gives you 81% DMR, that is pretty tanky for a hunter, and if you have resilience in 90 - 100 is a beast, of you die (like me sometimes) is because you are bad (like me sometimes) but the build is awesome!
Hey, bro, n8t been seeing your videos but this is so cool. Did you see TS in concert? Went to my 1st and second with my daughter and am now a Swiftie. Thanks for the build!
I'm so sad that Slice doesn't work with ascension (just like other class ability consume aspects). Because slice sidearms would have been great with this build.
is there something the devs forgot to tell us? Mobility lowers the base cooldown on your dodge. So mobility is a huge help in getting your dodge up again faster. or did they remove that scaling completly for Gifted conviction? Cause that would be dumb as hell tbh.
No, but as he mentioned being Amplified gives you +50 mobility and you'll be Amplified pretty much permanently. That plus fragments scaling your dodge ability cooldown means you don't have to slot as much towards mobility to get the faster recharge
Yeah, the wave frame or caster Ergo Sum goes crazy with it too. It has good synergy on Arc w/ Beacons, and on Prismatic w/ Transcendence to keep getting more and more ammo. Definitely a good thing to pair it with.
That works very well too. I used that when I did Fallen SABER, but found I didn't really need the Arc DR for other GMs, but it really helps kill enemies. Only downside is that it doesn't jolt, so you'll lose the DR from Gifted Conviction earlier. Very good choice nonetheless tho.
Then don't use the mod? You still get 81% DR without the mod, you'll only lose out on 6% DR. Also this is a weird take to have because seasonal mods last 18 weeks, and stuff gets buffed/nerfed at the start of each episode anyway.
I used to think “I won’t crutch the artifact, I want a build that’s always good”, but the sandbox changes all the time, and therefore so do the best builds, so why not use the artifact. Keeps it fresh
If you don't want to know what I'm using nor why I'm using it, nor alternatives/weapons to pair stuff with, the DIM links are always in the description and you're welcome to just take those. You don't need to watch the whole 8 minute (I know, a very long time) video :)
@@piloctor15 I appreciate your advice and I will not be taking it. It would not save me any time, and if anything would have more people confused as to why I'm choosing certain things, how to approach stuff, etc. Of all the comments on this video, yours is the only one saying this lmao.
