In our farm pond, papaw would let us keep NOTHING! LOL, BUT... he came in often with enough pan fish for a big, big dinner. He always came walking from 5he direction of the pond, rather than the river!! Lol, took us years to catch on! Good memories of fishing with papaw!

That's what I miss about my younger years, wade fishing. So fun and refreshing when it's 90° air temp and the water temp is under 70°. I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in VA. Wade fished the North Fork of the Shenandoah many times. Always nice!

Jay, any release that doesn't harm the fish is a good release. We don't care if it looks clumsy. You are having fun and being a true fishing statesman by conserving the resources through catch and release.
