Just a suggestion from someone deep into build crafting, I find a lot of these build videos don't introduce what exotic is being used until a decent chunk into the video. For me, it is a lot easier to understand the build by starting with the exotic armor first as that usually has an indicator as to what the goals of the build are. I often find myself skipping to where the exotic is mentioned then going back to start from the beginning. And its not just your vids, much love though.
@@andrew1250 I'm not looking for advice im looking for new ideas people may have thought of that I havn't, and just like a lot of others that play destiny 2, simply wanted to watch something in the background while grinding. I don't understand where the hate/hostility is coming from when my comment clearly was made with good intent. It makes me feel like you are the editor and taking offense to actual feedback.
Most of the build crafting vids focus on what the foundational aspect of the build is. If it focuses on a super, the vid starts with the super. If it's about grenade spam, it starts with the grenade, etc. In this build, the exotic just adds to the build but isn't foundational, so it wouldn't make sense to focus on that first. He also gives lots of exotic options, so explaining all the exotic options first would be really confusing and viewers wouldn't know what the point of the build is yet.
Someone mentioned it on another video but star eaters and helion have a negative interaction. If your helion damages the enemy first the scorch and ignites won't scale with star-eaters buff supposedly. Hoping Bungie fixes this.
As of right now....when it comes to warlocks I'll take the negative interaction and use something else. The moment we start asking bungie to fix things they are gonna go in and nerf lots of things.
Im not sure about this, but you can put out hellion after popping the super. Like super, use snap or nade, then hellion. It should be scalling i think.
I think one of the most broken combos in the game for Warlocks is Osmiomancy/Harmony. Rapid fast Supers just for using a gun that matches your Super, which is something most people do anyway for Harmonic armour mods, plus the Osmiomancy grenade loop shown in this video. I would say it rivals Caliban/Liars in terms of combat power.
I have a osmi+claws roll i run with lightning surge and just use impact induction ×2 (or whichever feeds melee energy for grenade damage) and it slaps as well
A warning if you get osmiomancy/star eater class item, scorch and ignitions caused by your hellion turret do not get the star eater damage buff and can override your super's damage, so make sure it is down before you trigger song of flame otherwise your ignitions will not get the star eater damage buff
for prismatic i wish we got the fragment that gave us devour on orb pickup . sure it wouldnt be the level of feed the void but it would open the door to bleak.watcher helion while having devour active constantly 🎉🎉
I actually tested these Spirit class armor perks. Spirit of Osmiomancy only works if your grenade lands on an enemy, not when it deals damage to an enemy. Spirit of Verity doesn’t provide a lot of time for Death Throes, but is reliable if you can get it to last. Spirit of Star-Eaters will definitely make your super deal insane damage 👍
For anyone who doesn’t know the regular osmiancy gloves work the same way as the class item does with prismatic. Since the second perk isn’t “necessary” for this build you could just use osmiancy gloves instead of the class item with spirit of osmiancy.
Agree with some of the previous comments. If your build is going to require an exotic class item, it would be nice to just get that out of the way at the beginning of the video.
Osmiomancy is definitely one of the strongest Spirits/ one of the most synergistic Prismatic options. So mad I didn’t get one of those while there was an easy double loot
Tried this build out and have been having fun with it. It is a nice change of pass from bleak watcher + arc soul. What shader are you using on your robes?
I have a controversial hold equal build. The dual bond with onsimancy exotic and Veritas brow exotic combo. Throw void nade weakens and gets energy back. Like contravers hold used to be. Insta nades
Hey, so honestly Osmio + Star Eater is by far the best, the buff you get from star eater is enormous and cannot be not mentionned. That said, someone said that Hellion have a negative interaction with Star Eater, that its scorch and ignite would NOT scale with it. With that said, just play Weaver's Call while playing Star Eater class item, it's also really good and instant damage.
Is it still true needlestorms threading aren't scaling off of star-eaters correctly? Nova bomb of song of flame might be the pick in the meantime depending how much dmg is lost. Just food for thought!
@@Gundmi I don’t know to be honest, but from my experience I don’t feel like it is bugged, when I dps with Euphony + Needlestorm + Star Eater, it seems like the threadlings are doing more damage
I managed to roll a osmio+star eater class item, would you say this is overall better than getaway artist builds for higher tier content such as master raids and gm nightfalls?? So hard to tell because I love the little turrets so much haha
Also what type of "The Call" sidearm perks to yoy recommend too? I've got Beacon Round & Adrenaline Junkie, Subsistence & Desperate Measures, Demolitionist & Golden Tricorn, Slice & Adrenaline Junkie. What do you think?
The warlock bond I got has spirit of osmiomancy and star eaters. I’m going to put it on a nova bomb build. Star eaters part will make the nova bomb huge.
worst combo in the game. First you need to sacrifice healing rift and second is that devour already gives you nade energy on kills. starfire is overkill
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, Spirit of Osmiomancy doesn't seem to work for me nearly as well as advertised in the video. (And, yes, I maxed out Discipline to 100. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I think I've followed the video's recommendations precisely.) A grenade kill might get me ⅛ of my grenade back, not ½. Sure, it might do ½ if throw a grenade into a huge pack of adds, but that's rather situational. And I might get 1/4 of my grenade back if I throw it at a very tanky add, but then it likely doesn't kill the add and proc Devour, which can then leave me in a bind. So maybe I could switch to this build when in a situation where there's tons of trash mobs packed closely together. But in more typical situations, it seems that Devour is doing almost all of the work in getting my grenade back quickly. Renewing Devour a few times with kills will give me my grenade back very quickly. Also, in the situation where there's tons of trash mobs packed closely together, Sunshot and Graviton Lance work very well. So I guess from my experience I'm not seeing a compelling use for not just sticking with Getaway Artist and Devour.
Love this build, question though, if you're using Song of Flame, is restoration on orb pickup not kinda redundant with Devour? Women Mail makes total sense of course. Either way, loved the video, thank you
I understand that the "recommending only 1 perk to look for on the class item" thing was to make farming easier for it but are there any other exotic options instead of the class item? I've farmed DOZENS of the class item at this point and haven't seen osmiomancy ONCE despite the odds.
Unlikely. All of the options for prismatic exotic abilities lost their specificity because prismatic is about mix and match. I don't think a single exotic perk on the class items is specific to a certain grenade/melee/super etc. If anything, they forgot to update the description properly
Once devour is started; any kill, weapon or ability, extend it. Also, once you have devour, your grenade recharge is so fast, osmiomancy is pretty pointless. It might be OK if you're trying to get your grenade back and devour isn't up, but when devour is up, it's kind of a waste of a perk slot. Inmost light would be better imo. That affects all your abilities and it works very well
Disagree personally, because Osmio instantly funds 50%, even on tankier targets you don’t kill. So it’s just good for neutral game in GMs as well. Not to mention when you pair the two together you basically have your made back instantly.
Awful take here. Osmio's if used correctly every time can give back 50-75% instantly just by throwing on enemies. You combine that with devour and it just means you get your nade back that much quicker. Literally the farthest thing from a " wasted perk slot"
@@andrew1250 I have a class item with osmiomancy and I have one with inmost light. When devour is up, I cannot tell a difference in the grenade recharge with osmiomancy because it's so fast anyway. I also cannot tell a difference in grenade recharge with inmost light, but I CAN tell a huge difference in the recharge of the other abilities constantly with inmost light. If you're using feed the void, you get the grenade back so fast, you can use it to feed the other abilities. The only time I can see osmiomancy being a decent pick over inmost light is if all abilities are drained, devour isn't up, and you're fighting 1 single boss. Or if you're not using feed the void. If you're not using feed the void, osmiomancy is a great pick
would it not be better to use facet of hope instead of facet of dawn to get more hellion uptime? or is facet of dawns strong enough to counteract that? thank you!
While using Song of Flames super with Warlock, i dont understand why all the builds use those fragment : "Facet of Purpose" when we have 'Devour' in the build ? Devour already gives heal regeneration; and "Facet of Dawn" when we have 'Radiant Orbs' in the artifact mods ? We are already Radiant from Orb pickup. I feel like it's useless to have twice 2 fragments/aspect/artifact mod that do the same thing! Also "Facet of purpose" is -10 recovery and "Facet of dawn" is -10 strength so it's 2 penalty, we could use 2 other fragments. Or am I missing something ? Finally I want to point out that you don't need any grenade regen ability at all when you have 'Devour', as Devour is meant to regen your grenade really fast.
1. Devour heals require kills, picking up an orb and getting constant healing from that has saved my life countless times even with devour active. 2. Sometimes you aren’t in a position to pick up an orb to become radiant when you need it, like in a GM for example, so having on demand radiant is much more consistent. 3. Yes, Devour does grant grenade energy on kill, but pairing them together gives your nade back instantly. It also refunds energy on hits (i.e. champions or tanky targets where you don’t get a kill for made energy)
I know everyone is salty about the change to getting the class items but once you e been thru the mission once, just go into the landing wait 15-20 secs for the chests to spawn, jump in a sparrow and make a clockwise circle around the map. Be sure to change you ghosts chest range. After looting the 5-6 chest open map and spawn in again. Rinse and repeat. I promise you once you get the hang of where the chests spawn you can farm 6-8 of this class items and hour and you do t have to find a buddy. Hope this helps.
I’m farming Dual Destiny off an on while helping others get clears. I’m mostly focusing on Titan to hoard roles then will move to warlock. Warlock is just so easy on this mission with prismatic getaway artist build..turrets for day😅
@@andrew1250 right I get that, but if you’re playing the build optimally then you should always have devour up right? I’d rather have a higher ceiling for the build than a higher floor if you know what I mean - I like the fragment that gives my void weps volatile on grenade kill which is very often
noticed you didnt have an exotic armor piece is there a certain reason for that? or did you intend to make an easy start up build for anyone to use? The mataiodoxia would make you even stronger
I would recommend Spirit of Inmost Light over Osmiomancy for obvious reasons. Having instant grenade charge is awesome, but what's even more awesome imo is hyperbuffed grenades just by using an Arcane Needle - and it also pairs better with Song of Flame, as with the ability spam you can get more abilities out faster at a higher damage. Great build though!
I came up with this build by myself and I was shocked by how fun it was! Only change I made was using bleak watcher and when you consume your arc grenade, you get your arc buddy plus a stasis turret drops down as well. Using it with Hellion and No Time to Explain exotic and you can have "4" buddies with you.
Bungie, really killed their ROI with the nerf to DD. Way to go Bungie! Kill a fun activity and force people to grind chests. Sounds like an exec made that decision.
Titan is by far not worth making a video on. They are going extinct. PVP Titan usage is down to 17% I’d focus on the builds that will make you money man. Titans need serious help but this build is sick! Thanks man!
@@AboveDestinythanks for the response! To be honest I’m just a bit butt hurt as a Titan main since season 9ish. I’d love to see your build ideas. Been running some GM’s and I can hold up pretty well. I can deal out huge damage and when I have some healing of warlock using Speakers exotic it’s amazing. Sorry I wasn’t trying to be rude just bitter haha. Anyways been using assassins + contact class item. I’d prefer to change out assassin for severance but the invis has come in clutch on these runs. When the overloads funnel to that back area on glasses Gm I can toss a jolt nade and make sure my prismatic is charged. The up and down motion slam stuns overloads and can absolutely deal out big damage. Kind of high risk high reward but when if works out right it’s amazing. Thanks again man
Above, why in your videos does your voice go like 100 decibels higher than your regular voice? If it goes any higher pretty soon only dogs will be able to hear it, please please tone it down.
Welcome to the concept of ‘youtube voice’. Any youtuber has this, and you’ll hear the difference between them reading a script vs not. It’s kinda funny but definitely normal.
Loved your video and great analysis, but the over-hyper, yelling sportscaster voice you use is a real turn-off for me. It's similar to listening to someone in monotone, but worse, because of the overhyped yelling. It prevents me from subscribing. Just my two cents and good luck!
Im sorry did this guy just say needlestorm is strong on prismatic warlock? Use it a single time and tell me its still strong lol… nova bomb over doubles its damage when u look at the fact nova bomb scales off the seasonal artifact and the lack of thread of evolution making threadling do 33% less damage than on strand
This guy did say that! He also said that’s because it pairs with Woven Mail for free on orb pickup :) And he ALSO ALSO said that Nova Bomb is great for a damage super as well!
dummy, needlestorm is still one of the best burst supers in the game especially with star eaters. Star eaters x6 more than make up for the fact you dont have the threadling fragment on strand.
TBH I lose a ton of respect for content creators who use these super click bait titles and thumbnails. I came here hoping to learn something I didn't already know but sadly the information here felt mostly generic and the build was fairly self explanatory and as usual only reaches its full potential if you are able to get specific perks on your exotic class items. If that is the case you should be LEADING with the exotic class perk that is the crux of the build and then talking about which weapons, mods, aspect, fragments and super that work well in tandem with the perk and one another. The power discrepancy of this rough set up with and without Osmiomancy will be rather staggering. The video in general just feels like it is talking about several things that stick together super well if you have glue. Problem is you don't say what type of glue your using until 5 minutes in. I hope you don't take this feedback the wrong way. I though your class item video was fairly well put together I just felt this video was done hastily for views and not to actually share information that would help a broad spectrum of D2 players.
5 minutes on fragments and aspects is way to long pal. Its not day 1 on the patch and everyone knows that devour re-procs every kill. I don't know why every build video i watch goes over it like it must be our first time reading the aspects and fragments. And why do you sound like you're some kind of low budget weather man? Either way If anyone reads this just fast-forward 6 minutes to when hes actually talking about exotics. Heres a comment, no like no sub
watching you phoenix dive even though you ar enot remotely hurt, there are no teammates nearby and your helion is literally up for forever anyway. please stop. please I beg you.
@@josephgitzler7942 ho it doesnt. you are in ulti. it recharges super quick anyway. what are you on about?????? You are just wasting time casting an ability when you could shoot heavy.
