Hey there, great question! Shift helps save you time by decreasing the time needed to switch between accounts, workflows, calendars, etc. By keeping you signed in, you can easily stay connected to everything important. The value gained from Shift is the time you’ve gained back, which, to us, is worth it! 😎
Hey there! Shift's CPU and memory usage depends on how many workspaces, apps, and tabs are kept open in the browser. We recommend you have at least 8Gb or more RAM on your computer for Shift to run smoothly. Also, please note that Shift is compatible with Mac and Windows only 😃
I didn’t test CPU/memory usage for this video (in fact, I’ve not tested that in my other browser videos either), but performance was in line with other browsers I’ve used.
Hey! Shift has Google as the default search engine, and it cannot be changed. But you can still browse through other search engines directly by visiting their websites!
The Shift browser is a wretched tool, stripped of all autonomy. It denies you the freedom to mold it to your will, offering no control over even the most basic elements like the home page, start page, or search engine. And as if that weren't enough, the extensions you rely on elsewhere are rendered useless here. It's a prison, not a browser.
