@elina dark skinned ppl are more likely to not find their shade in stores, most makeup brands don’t market towards dark skinned ppl, its not being self centered 💀
MAC artist here - Glow Play has actually been around for a while. The line launched in 2020. So as far as MAC products go, this is considered an old release. They’re extremely fun and more clay-like in texture. They do not dry out, as advertised, but apply more like a contour stick than a powder blush. Buffing out can be difficult without the right brush. Our best seller is probably Heat Index. Personally, these blushes look better on camera, due to the fact that filters often mute and blend tones in the face…but glow play can seem a bit childish in person. The best-selling blush overall is currently the Sheertone blush in Gingerly - it serves 90s supermodel, deep velvet vibes.
I LOVED THAT MAYBELLINE BLUSH!!! It had to be so unsanitary from how many times I dug my finger in there 💀 EDIT: For everyone saying "How can it get dirty if you washed your hands?" I was a teen in the 2000s, I did not care much about hygiene as much as teens do now. You will all be happy to know that I thoroughly wash my hands before applying makeup to my face now and clean my brushes regularly 😅 And yes, I knew what I was doing when writing this comment. I have no regrets.
I hope people start the conversations on how influencers, in particular beauty influencers, aren't sustainable at all. Like why do you need every shade? You are not going to use them all. And literally most cosmetic packaging can't even be recycled.
I left a comment about that point too lol I really don't get why she needs every shade. Like she reviews makeup and she has so much already. It's all just gonna go to landfill at this point.
it’s not the influencers fault, the companies send them these for free so they can review it and give them advertisement. that’s how influencers make money. it’s shitty that it’s unsustainable but the industry is like that to make money.
Especially when the product is not good, I launched these blushes with MAC and they suck. There is a reason she wore that specific shade, it’s one of the only ones to show pigment when you wear it.
Really like she didn't need to buy 5+ blushes when all she used is one. And she does this in every video, just imagine how many products she has accumulated that she'll never use. Then multiply that by millions of people. It's disgusting
@@blueblanket9197 just watched her video, and its just the tint. Not a brown gloss but the laneige lip mask over it. I think any clear gloss would work.
I loved that Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush. The Rose Petal shade was actually a perfect light pinky peach and the best shade I’ve ever found…I still can’t find a match for it. Might have to pick up one of the MAC shades.
OML THIS UNLOCKED SUCH AN OLD MEMORY FOR ME the maybelline blush was the first blush i got that was fully mine and i would wear it to every party, and would use it on my mom too back in elementary school i feel old now 😭
God bless you in your RU-vid channels God bless you're a beautiful woman you don't need any makeup on if you do that's your business we love you in the United States of America fond du lac Wisconsin keep up the good work on your RU-vid channels two thumbs up❤
I remember that feeling from those little pallets of rub-in hair-dye for little kids. I stained my fingers blue and pink and purple for days because of how much I just squished them instead of coloring my hair.
Lol I can't believe I never heard of that Maybelline bouncy blush until a few months ago when my mom showed it to me bc it's what she uses. Now I'm suddenly seeing people talk about it all over social media
Lol I just use Burt’s bees lip balms, they last forever and give me the shiniest no fail lipgloss in a lipstick/balm formula. Not sticky but nourishing. ITS PERFECTION
I absolutely Loved those maybelline bounce blushes! They felt so innovative for the time! I probably went through two entirely in like 6 years?? They lasted forever lol
I LOVED THIS BLUSH!! omg I forgot about it till you showed the package. I remember I used to squish it and show all my friends and tell them to squish it. Lol 🫡😂
That maybelline blush was the first thing of makeup I EVER got when I was FOUR and I got it for Christmas. My little sister took it once and did her blush and looked like a clown when she was two. This video made me so happy and brought back so many memories from being a kid 😂😁❤️
That burgundy color is made for darker skin tones and it makes me happy that brands and making more dark skin girl friendly colors for blushes and make up products in general
@Sophia266_ I'm not saying that she can't use it. It looks amazing on her. I'm just saying that that color of blush is used alot by black creators and others because it appears pink and not purple
Why do you need to depend on seasons to use colours?!?!? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I get it people love to do MATCHY MATCHY but girl.. it's pure stupid if you think you can't put on a colour because it's not the season. LIVE your life.
I'm of the mind that people can spend the money they earned on whatever they want. We live in a consumerist society, you're not a bad person for buying things that make you happy.
