They never stopped him from being the best in terms of vision off the ball and placement or even goal scoring, but it did harm is dribbling a lot. Someone who followed his career knows that. Also where are those dribbling stats about Ronaldinho and all the others that you mentioned. Neymar more effective? Ronaldo in terms of stats was actually the best dribbler in a few years between 2003 and 2009. Neymar effective? Where? Ronaldinho? For 1 or 2 years... That doesn't even make a big enough sample to get a convincing stat. Ronaldo had more goals during is spell in Spain than Messi, still his the CL best scorer, best in terms of assists and second overall in terms of assists. Yes, nowadays he can't dribble as much, he is slower, clumsi and not as effective, but this is not the Ronaldo we had during 2003-2014. This is the effective lone position striker we had between 2015-2022. The guy is 38 or something, he is taller than all the players you mentioned, has higher gravity center and still scored 24 goals last season in the most competitive league!!! Well Ronaldo did all of that when he was very young and they are already 24 and did nothing that Cristiano did before

Some of these resulted in goals and he wasn't a staight forward back then and often played left mid if he didn't get an knee injury he would have honed them to perfection.So i don't know why you talking about he stopped doing it,as if he had a choice

And one more thing,Defence was better back then so if he didn't have to change his play style he would be scoring so much more
