I’ve been to India twice and loved it, so I thought maybe Pakistan could be a similar great, adventurous and occasionally frustrating place with said beautiful mountains. But then videos kept coming up in my feed of people being torn apart by mobs for allegedly destroying Qurans, Hindu girls being kidnapped into marriage by older Muslim men, and a woman (Asia Bibi) being imprisoned for allegedly drinking out of a Muslim drinking fountain. As I’m not into mob rule, SA and apartheid I decided it wasn’t a great idea. Nepal turned out to be safe anyway, and gorgeous.
