@@lyw95130 I don't think American is an ethnicity. He's half Asian half Caucasian right? So Vernon is Korean because of his nationality... that doesn't change his ethnicity though😊.
Juliana Me for me I interpret it like they want us to do our best (in everything we do), but sometimes it’s okay to not doing it at our best but instead to laid back and take a few breath just to enjoy the moment. Idk myself, I just connect it with the lyrics overall
Fun fact: Seventeen is a self-producing group. Woozi produces almost all of Seventeen's songs along with Bumzu, also a producer and Hoshi and the performance unit take part in their choreography. The members also write the lyrics specifically the Hiphop Unit or the rappers.
Actually, about the guy who still danced at the end is the leader. Fans say that that scene represents his passion for his job. He recently came back from hiatus due to anxiety and it is represented by the crashing of his car midway up. then even after he crashed down, he still danced. So yea that guy is indestructible.
Other seventeen songs recommendations: Getting Closer Home Don't Wanna Cry Clap Fear Fearless (live stage) Very Nice Adore U (their debut, still iconic) Pretty U Oh My! Boom Boom Mansae Fallin Flower Call Call Call! Happy Ending (the last 3 are Japanese comebacks)
Info on Seventeen: - there are 13 members - there are 3 units - Hip Hop, Vocal, Performance units - Hip Hop is the rap line - Vocal is clearly the vocal line - Performance is the dance line - S.Coups is the oldest member + leader + rapper + Hip Hop line leader - Dino is the youngest member + dancer - Hoshi is the Performance leader + dancer - Woozi is the Vocal leader + vocalist
let me add for the other members, hahah,, - jeonghan is the second eldest member, born in '95. part of the vocal line, he has a nasally sweet voice. loves to cheat and is known in seventeen for being a swindler. however, he is one of the most caring members. - joshua is the third eldest member, last to be born in '95. part of the vocal line, he has a soft and honey-like voice. jeonghan's accomplice in teasing the members. he is known to be a gentleman. - jun is the fourth eldest member, born in '96. part of the dance line, he can be distinguished by the powerful dance moves and intense look. he is labelled by the carats as a "fake maknae" due to his playfulness. - wonwoo is the fifth eldest member, born in '96 too. part of the rap line and known for his low tone in rapping. the carats call him as a sloth. loves to read books and play games. - the8 is born in '97. i forgot where he places in the hierarchy of ages, hahah,, part of the dance line, he is quite skilled in bboying and doing backflips (?). along with jun, they comprise the china line. - mingyu is also born in '97. the tallest member in seventeen. he is around 186 cm if i'm not mistaken. has gorgeous tan skin, and is seventeen's visual. part of the rap line, you can hear his low tone as well, though a tad bit higher than wonwoo's. - dk is the last of the '97 liners. part of the vocal line, he is one of the two main vocals of seventeen. also part of svt's officially-debuted unit, booSEOKsoon. (his real name is SEOKmin) - seungkwan is the first of the maknae line, born in '98. part of the vocal line, he is seventeen's main vocal too. he is also part of BOOseoksoon. (his full name is BOO seungkwan) - vernon is the last of the '98 line. part of the rap line, he has an unusual but distinct flow in rapping. american visual (he is half-white) but korean at heart. seventeen calls him a free spirit. - dino is the maknae of svt, born in '99. part of the dance line, i can differentiate him by his powerful and sharp moves. sub-rapper. you can listen to his laugh for days and he has the cutest smile in svt. (my opinion only, even if he isn't my bias) i guess that's it, HAHAH,, gave a few extra detailsss
I just didn't want to overload Sam with too much so I made it basic and just general info on the leaders and stuff. Otherwise most people wouldn't read such a long comment.
10:35 Hoshi (the guy in the white shirt they were throwing) was wired in and pulled up. Then in post they removed the wires :) the MV behind the scenes was a great watch :) Don't wanna cry is such an emontional song! I would also suggest "GETTING CLOSER" and "FEAR" next.
I'm just starting to get into Seventeen after this MV. I recommend checking out the compilation videos of them working in the studio producing their music themselves. It's super interesting and makes me appreciate their music a lot more.
Seventeen songs to react: Don't Wanna Cry Very Nice Fear and Fearless (Fear first, then Fearless, you won't regret. Though Fearless doesn't have an mv, the stage's awesome)
This song is a bop! Sammy, I think you'll really enjoy all of Seventeen's title tracks. And, when you get into them more, you should react to SEVENTEEN'S BEST VOCALS!!!! Thank you, and I love your reactions!
Even as someone who is mainly into BTS and ATEEZ I can say that SEVENTEEN are probable one of the groups with the most abstract (?) artistic (?) MVs (not sure how to explain it). And since you like brightly colored videos like DNA, you should definitely take a look at SVTs older MVs too. CLAP is one of the very popular ones (at least from what I remember), and OH MY! (its a song name).
the great thing about seventeen is they have a variety of songs you can choose from, so you can probably find whatever your style is among their songs, hahah,, i wonder, what's your fav type of song? (i wanna suggest according to your taste but you can check any svt song and still be amazed, lol)
you should react to their own show (it's on their youtube channel) called Going Seventeen! You don't have to watch all of it but there are some where they play a bunch of games and do activities! One I really liked is called Don't Lie where they played this huge game of Mafia it was so funny and good! Dont think youll get copyrighted for it so u can react to this channel! And because theyre 13 members, they have a HUGE variety of personalities which make them so naturally entertaining to watch
You NEED to react to Very Nice!! Pleaseeee🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Is one of my favorite songs of Seventeen btw😉 Also you can react to: Getting Closer Fear Snapshoot Clap - - - - - You nice, keep going!💜
"He is indestructible. You can not take it away from this guy, man." Best thing to have ever been said about my boy S.Coups (who is also their leader), especially if you knew the subtext. Before this comeback, he was absent from official schedules for several months to recover from anxiety issues. This MV is straight up "LEADER IS BACK" celebration.
Their song clap is also crazy with the graphics. I love how you talk about camera angles, and stuff cause I'm an inspiring filmmaker myself and those things are also what I catch in the music videos. But I think you will have a good time watching their song Clap.
I also struggle with names (I work in a classroom and my kids have to wear name tags for about a month before I can remember all their names). What helps me the most with groups is watching their behind the scenes, reality shows, etc. They put names a lot when they are talking (even if it's not in english, I can read the hangul so that helps) and they refer to each other by name. You just pick it up after watching enough. And getting to know their personalities makes each member stand out more which is more memorable. Don't Wanna Cry is the song that got me into Seventeen so I'm stoked to see your reaction to it. If you want an early Seventeen song, I love Adore U. It's the title track from their debut album. It's just super cute.
Although you can say that Nct has the most members, they never made a song with all of them (except black on black). They will basically not know the struggles of 13+ members since they are never all together for award shows, other shows and performances. From my perspective they appear more like 3 groups that just hang out a lot and Mark & Haechan are just in 2 groups and they have collaborated for black on black. I'm not hating on Nct but this is just my opinion.
@@abi9ail_h I kinda agree and disagree to your opinion but it's still unique to them and people stray away from them more than seventeen becauz of that I mean and they literally have a more complex concept than seventeen tho 13 people on one song is a lot. Saying this as a both nctzen and carat. And both of them are real talented. Both groups have their own struggles.
@Ayumi Lowrans OMG literally what I've been wanting to say to everyone that mentions Nct every single damn time when someone says "So many members in Seventeen" someone is like "well nct has (idk how many members)". It's so annoying. Nct never performed with more than 10(?) members so people need to stop saying that nct has more people, when the only time they performed with all the members is black on black, and that's not even an official group. I'm so tired of reading "Nct: am I joke to you" comments along with Seventeen.
Sammy if you look at the channel "left and right" was uploaded on it says "big hit labels" because big hit bought the company that seventeen belonged to which means seventeen is under big hit now😊
SEVENTEEN has many great vocal, rap, and amazing choreo!!! Really recommend you their dance practice, live stage, and unit song (from vocal, performance, and hiphop unit)!!!
"Each individually talented and individually brilliant in their own ways." You've accurately expressed how I feel towards them. The best group for showing great teamwork both as a group and individually. Love how you react to their music. Your expressions and reactions are photocopies of how I react to their music too! Hahahahahah! I got goosebumps while watching to this. I was just overjoyed while listening to you enjoy their performance. Hoping for more Seventeen Music Video Reactions haahhaha. It would be fun if you'd make a reaction on Zico's new song "Summer Hate". I bet that you'll enjoy and love it too. It's like a summer anthem.
Woah, I'm glad I checked this rection/review vid. This is great and I think I found another channel to subscribe to :) Sammy, I'm thrilled to witness your journey in learning more about SEVENTEEN!
fun fact: their album is named "henggarae" which means tossing someone up in celebration thats why on the mv 10:19 you can see hoshi being henggarae by the other members !!
I recommend that you've must react to it: Getting Closer Fear Fallin Flower Home Oh my! Thanks Mansae Happy Ending Fearless (they don't have mv on this but i hope you watch their stage performance) Don't wanna cry sorry for my grammar :((
seventeen are literally kings of synchronization!! u should react to some of them dance practices, also their music videos and title tracks (as well the bsides) are dope, like: HOME, FEAR, OH MY!, VERY NICE etc. also they are funny af LMAOOO pls react to some of svt’s funny moments, hope u will love the boys
When reacting to seventeen, please watch lyrics videos from seventeenlyrics. They have the most accurate color coding lyrics videos for seventeen and carats (seventeen fans) trust them. They also adjust the layout according to the vibe of the song and have done most of seventeen’s discography. FYI, Zaty Farhani (owner of lyrics video used in this video) has noticeable inaccuracies in their lyrics video and gain revenue from using a lot of kpop artists songs, when that revenue should be going the artists. Seventeen videos to react to: - Clap - Adore U (debut) - Pretty U - Mansae - Oh My! - Fear - Call Call Call (Japanese debut) - Happy Ending (Japanese single) - Fallin Flower (Japanese single) - Boom Boom - Thanks - Home Thank you for reacting to seventeen!!!
Hello, helpful Seventeen fan (carat) here to provide some explanations :D Left & Right is the title track of Seventeen’s 7th mini album, 헹가래 (Heng Garae), which is korean for the physical action of lifting someone into the air in an act of celebrating! The song “Left & Right” is a song that was written with the youth of the world in mind! The song’s lyrics talk about hesitating on one’s choices, as if you are choosing where to go, left or right. Instead, Seventeen are telling us that the way to go, if you’re not sure if left or right is the answer, is to go up, which is why Joshua, one of two American members, changes the signs to point upwards, and they send S.Coups, (full name Choi Seungcheol, and leader of Seventeen) up in a rocket-car! At the end, the rocket explodes and the sign behind Jun (the one holding a phone and recording, one of two Chinese members) swings to point downwards, and the car crashes. However, Seungcheol gets out, safe and unhurt, and starts dancing, showing us that even if things seem like they’re bad (and, you know, on fire), you can always stop and have a little jam :) There’s so much more in the MV that I haven’t been able to explain, but I think it’d be fun to look for them on one’s own :)
The quote says; Do Your Best, But Maybe Not Sometimes. And the last person was the leader of svt, SCOUPS, From carats understanding, Since he's been on hiatus before this comeback (due to anxieties) but when he come back, he's the brightest and he's stonger now, that is why like a silent saying "I've been in worst case, but I'm better now, and I'll keep on dancing". Thank you so much for your svt react. ☺️
This song is just good vibes man aaaah i love it Btw Sam you're so good like your internet went down during half an hour so I guess you did something else to wait and you just got back in the video like nothing happened with a tiny cut that was cool
a little explanation for the set, this album Heng:garae, means to toss someone up in the air, and their song, left and right, is about youth. If you look at the lyrics, its about how society fits us into the norms of left and right, and the point of this song is to tell the youths, to choose their own path. the message of this song is to tell the youths to take their time and never give up, and choose your own path. If you look at the choreography at the 'I run up' part, after the first chorus, they are actually simulating a race track, and the members are running a relay race! and at the end the message shown is 'do your best, but maybe not sometimes' hope this helps you understand the music video better and admire it better!!
Joshua and Vernon are actually from America! Both speak English fluently. Vernon moved to Korea when he was younger but Joshua didn’t move to Korea from the states until he was 19. Jun and THE8 are from China, and they actually separate the members into three different groups. The vocal team- Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, Seungkwan, and DK. The performance team (the dancers)- Hoshi, THE8, Jun, and Dino. And the hip hop team- S.Coups, Mingyu, Wonwoo, and Vernon. For majority of their albums they usually have solo songs from each of the groups which is why in some of their music videos you’ll only see some of them and not all of the members. An amazing video from the performance team (my personal favorite) is Lillili Yabbay, please check that MV out when you get a chance!
Fallin’ Flower plssss bc that song and mv is a bloody masterpiece!! Ooohh wait, better yet, all of svt’s japanese releases: Call Call Call -> Happy Ending -> Fallin’ Flower 🙏🏼 24H is comin out this sept 9!!! Plsss look forward to that as well! Also, i know u wont read this whole thing lmao but if u do, am here to remind you that you defo should listen to this whole album bc it is a beautiful masterpiece that’s dedicated to youth! Henggaræ means to throw someone in the air like what they did to Hoshi in the mv, and the whole album is basically about celebration of youth (no matter what age you are, as svt themselves have said) it will honestly cleanse your soul
Heres a guide abt seventeen: Seventeen has 13 members, 3 units ( performance unit, vocal unit, and hip-hop unit ), and together they are one team So 13+3+1 = 17! Seventeen are widely known for being a self-producing group and for their synchronized choreographies. Woozi, known as the producer basically handles most of the producing mostly writing lyrics, composing the song, and vocal directing. He's produced at least 80% of Seventeen's music. The performance team is in charge of choreo while Hip-hop team is in charge of the rap. They aren't just limited to their assigned teams as everyone participates in a number of different things. Despite having 13 members, they're choreos are insane and they somehow manage to be so in sync with each other it's crazy. Choreo and self-producing aside, they have incredible vocalists and rappers! Members from oldest to youngest and the teams they're in: S Coups ( group leader and hip hop unit leader ) Jeonghan ( vocal ) Joshua ( vocal ) Jun ( performance ) Hoshi ( performance and performance leader ) Wonwoo ( hip hop ) Woozi ( vocal and vocal leader ) DK ( vocal ) Mingyu ( hip hop ) The8 ( performance ) Seungkwan ( vocal ) Vernon ( hip hop ) Dino ( performance )
Weekly SVT reactions?? HELL YEAH(btw, Joshua and Vernon are Korean-American. Josh was born and raised in LA, Vernon is mixed and born in New York but moved to Korea when he was 5. Both the group's designated english translators like Joon is. There are 4 foreigners in SVT, Jun and The8 are Chinese)
thanks for making it as a dream to me cuz u reacted to seventeen !! seventeen is a really talented group (they produce their own music and write their own lyrics + they also choreograph their own dances ) they're very known for their dancing and vocals! and a self producing group! they are 13 members but each focus in their unit (hiphop unit 4 members)+(vocal unit 5 members)+(performance unit 4 members) and theY all to perform as 1 so 3 units + 13 members + as 1 team = 17 ! I HOPE U REACT TO MORE SEVENTEEN LATER AND I REALLY WANT U TO REACT TO THEIR DANCE PRACTICES
I love his reaction💗 that's right seventeen's left and right is really joyful and mood making .l m listening this song almost ten ,twenty times a day .hope l lln't lose my ears in the near future😂😂😆 would recommend all to watch this video💋
omg, thank you for this reaction!! i knew you would appreciate how fun and interesting this music video is! seventeen has quite a few non-korean members. the one you've noticed, josuha, is from usa, also vernon is half-american. jun and the8 are chinese. also, if you want to learn their names i would recommend checking out seventeen units, it's easier to get to know them by units, and it also gives you a chance to appreciate each one's skills better! there are three units: hip hop unit (4 members), vocal unit (5 members) and performance unit (4 members). each unit has a few songs of their own, some with music videos even, you can easily find them on youtube. my personal favorite unit song is hip hop unit's trauma!
Seventeen is a 13 member group with 3 units (hip-hop, vocal and performance) they have two American members (Joshua and Vernon) and two Chinese members (Jun and The8.) they make seventeen by having 3 units, 13 members and 1 team which equals Seventeen. In the Vocal Unit you have, Woozi (the leader of the vocal team),Jeonghan, Joshua, Dk and Seungkwan. In the Hip-hop Unit you have, S.Coups (the leader of the hip-hop team and the leader of the whole group), Mingyu, Wonwoo and Vernon. In the performance Unit you have, Hoshi (the leader of the Performance team), Jun, The8 and Dino. The colour coded video is actual put down by age so having S.coups being the eldest, then having Dino the youngest. I recommend watching their dance videos as well as a guide :) Sorry for writting such a long comment but i hope this helps you understand these boys more :)
I honestly believe you haven't seen SVT in their element until you see them live. They are legendary performers with the inhuman ability to sync up with 12 other people and match perfectly with each other
There's also a behind the scenes of this MV! It's super interesting and really funny to watch since you could tell they had a lot of fun with this comeback 😂
