Still, some people have a harder time losing weight even if they do more exercise and eat healthier. Some genes are involved in the lipolysis making it easier or harder to lose some weight, but it still doesn't mean it is a decisive factor, no matter your genetics, you still have no excuse for being fat.

i started my weighloss journey at 384 lbs and dropped to 353 right now. what IBZ is saying isnt cap, literally just count your calories and do more than average motion (i.e go to the gym/take long walks) and you will start to drop the pounds pretty decently. like seriously, you dont have limit yourself to some weird onlygreens diet and cant touch junkfood, it just means that junkfood tightens your remaining daily intake by small portions, massive caloric intake. i genuinely thought this was gonna be another meme vid, but all that ibz is saying is in fact facts.
I am so happy that someone who admitted to being overweight even stated that it really is not that hard and to just exercise, people always like to say that ''they cant help it they were born that way.'' and it really makes me frustrated because if that argument is constantly being used then that just means more people in the world will become obese and its terrifying to think that in another 20 years people are gonna look like the people from Wall-E.
@@BigDaddyKeys it literally also doesnt mean you have to cut out your favorite shit out. It literally only means that your fav shit (if its unhealthy) will take up much more of your required intake than what your recommended divided intake should be. I love to eat taco bell, i still do, but if im gonna eat taco bell, i need to always remember that what i get from TB will take up 3/4 of my daily intake, so for me, i need to really be weary of my day, what im gonna do and what else im gonna eat before or after TB
I’m skinny and people bully me about it but the moment I say something about someone being fat not even a being rude about it and people attack me for it
Like most "junk foods", burgers are very healthy when you make them yourself with good ingredients, but big food chains have a tendency of cutting corners and replacing things with cheaper (less healthy) alternatives for a profit. If you eat a homemade hamburger, it's gonna taste better, feel more rewarding and be healthier than getting a big mac at your local McDo.
I heard about them adding some chemicals or "drugs" in small doses so that you develop urges to eating fast food. Idk if that true but who know, companies these days will do anything
Very true, if you look at the ingredients you put on a burger it doesn’t seem all that unhealthy, like a beef patty is great for you, a hamburger roll is good carbs, cheese is good for you, ketchup/mustard isn’t that terrible, and the rest of the ingredients are literally vegetables. At the end of the day you’re covering all your bases in terms of macronutrients, only unhealthy thing with burgers is fast food chains add addictive chemicals and shit
@@mekhmoukhmehdi6923 i doubt this but you can be addicted to anything that being drugs or not and fast food is made to be tasty to get people coming back for more
Hey ibz, I’m not a dietitian but I have learnt a few basic things in school about causes of obesity. Something you missed out on was the daily intake of sugar, sugar will cause you to fatten and when taken into high doses the sugar turns into fat because the energy requirements are met (this blocks veins and arteries). Also sugar causes fat into gain especially around the stomach. This isn’t meant to go against what your saying, but something to add onto the knowledge gained from this video. (Also if you are looking at eating health, don’t forget to look at the nutritional facts on the back of a product and remember that if you don’t know what a word on it means, just look it up)
Sugar is a carbohydrate and he mentioned junk food. He even pointed out cola, those calories are ALL from carbohydrates in the form of sugar. He talked about sugar bro
@@croc3862 Whoops, I guess I didn’t really take that part on board when thinking about the comment, I just thought it would be good to put this here since he didn’t explicitly talk about sugar in it’s own section
He didn't specifically address sugar, but yeah, eating a bunch of sugar adds fat way quicker than eating other carbs. This is because sugar, white bread, and white rice (even though white rice is still healthy) is refined carbs, while whole grain bread, brown rice, etc. is complex carbs, meaning your body actually has to work in order to break it down whereas with sugar its already refined down to the base form of glucose which is literally what cells use for energy, meaning your body doesn't even have to exert any energy to transform that into fat, thereby accumulating fat WAY faster than with complex carbs. A good way to eat healthier carbs while not changing your diet all that much is to just replace whatever bread you eat with it's whole grain variety, I promise it still tastes good.
Sugar is required for your brain and thyroid gland to function properly. It all comes back to calorie intake; sugar is NOT the poison "experts" say it is. It's a necessity for life. Screw the "in moderation" crowd and just watch your calories and don't eat too much of something if it makes you feel bad.
Goodluck on your new healthy lifestyle man.. u sure wont gonna regret it as long as you done it for good or for self-betterness. Im currently doing the same too... i wanna live longer and healthier.
I Used to be fat when I 14 now 18 years later i am a Greek god i understand the struggle never give up actually work for it and you will achieve the body you want
the thing with fat peoples is that they are already bulked so its easy for them too be greek god but mentally i heard its hard but c mon guys the caring about mental is gay
@@error-4269 He basically said that the journey of a fat person achieving a Greek body is pretty easy, its just mentally challenging for them to achieve it.
From someone who's "the fat person 2" type of guy, this video is based and makes a lot of sense. Now it's just about getting the motivation to exercise.
I'm the fat person one and I'm already exercising. Shit is replacing the biscuits i eat all day. Breakfast, afternoon snack, etc. Just replacing it those with Eggs/Bananas could probably make me lose weight like crazy but I still don't have the courage to.
Proud to be an advocate for good health. It seriously is the snacking aspect that has the biggest impact on weight gain. You go to the grocery store and see some 300lb+ person with 4 12 packs of soda in their cart as well as a bunch of pre packaged meals. BRUH
I appreciate this wave of RU-vidrs speaking out about all of the garbage that results from tiktok. It really is just as simple as understanding calories in/calories out. People without genuine medical conditions like diabetes have no excuse to be as fat as they are.
Diabetes runs in my family but i will still do my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle and won't use that as an excuse, really it's all about willpower
@@mekhmoukhmehdi6923 don't worry Paul: diabetes means consuming a lot of sugar, consuming a lot of sugar = fatness = don't worry, diabetes won't run forever man, soon or later it will have a heart attack and will stop running.
Honestly, there's too much foolishness floating around these days. 500 pound people calling you a racist if you think being 500 pounds is unhealthy... It's dumb... And it really is a slippery slope. Cuz to think 500 pounds is healthy, is the death of basic reasoning; the base level reason you need to function as a human adult. So, thank you for this video Ibz. Thanks for coming out and saying and doing the right thing. You truly are a Chad.
People who are part of groups like fat acceptance just want to beable to be accepted. If they can actually eat without being shat on they get a healthier relationship with food that helps them loose weight. Supporting videos like this one who devalue the actual meaning behind these communities so they can tell people how wrong they are is the idiotic thing to do.
I remember when "phobias" were used within the definition of the actual word - An irrational fear or disgust of something specific. There's nothing irrational about not wanting to die an early death and hoping to avoid numerous health issues. It's also not irrational to criticize others who openly claim this extremely unhealthy lifestyle is acceptable. It's not, and encouraging others to make their lives worse is disgusting.
It comes from the word "homophobia" but I'd argue that is a decent definition, since its basically people so afraid of seeming gay that they act all machismo.
Playing devil's advocate here, Fatphobia is meant to refer to people that openly mock or resent/look down on (in a non-joking way) people that are fat because of their weight. I personally would rather call these people dickheads instead of making up a new word for it but it is what it is
A phobia is just anything you go out of your way to avoid, without a justifiable reason. Calling it a fear is simplistic. If I'm homophobic - I want to avoid gays, if I'm hydrophobic - I want to avoid water. I fear neither.
I dont understand why people say "why do you dislike fat people". Yes! I dislike them visually, but also, being fat points at an underlying issue in a person's character, and that's having no self control or willpower whatsoever. Who do you think is more likeable, a person able to control themselves, or one who isn't. I think the answer is obvious. Losing weight isnt as difficult as some people make it out to be. Ive lost over 18 kg (40lbs) over this summer, and im 14. If it's that difficult than how did i do it with such ease? A kid no less, in comparison to an adult crying that they wanna eat junk. People make losing weight out to be some kind of journey, a tribulation, but its just a very slight change in lifestyle (genuinely, just consume 500 calories less and exercise some)
Probably because you don’t have a job or actual responsibilities, and have the metabolism of a 14 year old hahahaha I agree with everything else you said, but losing weight is wayyyy easier when you’re younger lol Congratulations on your loss though! Makes you feel better physically and mentally
As a former obese kid/teen 230 lbs that was exactly my problem, eating too much junk food. Everyday after school, 2 large cups of cereal and soda with every meal. As soon as I cut the junk, my weight dropped 11 lbs in 3 months. 2 years now I've built some aesthetics and weight 190
Ibz, your forgot to mention that fast food chains add loads of additives on their burgers (oil, salt, sugar and whatnot) in order to make it "taste good" when its actually just loaded up with addicting chemical.
thank you ibz, as a swimmer myself, I completely agree with what you're saying about how dieting is just what you shouldn't eat and what you need to cut out instead of the common idea that dieting is eating specific kinds of foods. finally glad there is another person with knowledge on exercise and dieting!
@@bruhbasics4425 its been going really well so far! started back up in the beginning of September so I've just been training 6 times a week for about 11 1/2 hours a week.
I started at 125 kilos and I've made it to 108 so far, all I did was drink coffee and cycle to work for 30 kilometer a day. Its really not as hard as you might think. My advice would be to love yourself even at your highest weight, and then start to lose it. Loving yourself is important, but self improvement is of the highest priority
I just love the "my source is that I made it the fuck up" And no you cannot be born fat and you can definitely do smth about it If you get fat its you're problem YOU caused it
My little brother was so damn skinny, but when my parents gave him his own computer at the age of 5, boom, he ain't going on no run team. In this case, it was my parent's fault, but they do now have him on a diet at least.
Processed sugar is one thing to be wary about, it’s In over 60% of the average American grocery stores items and it will make you FAT, it’s also In a lot of foods you wouldn’t expect.
Mr ibz, Love you i fuck with your content, i agree with all of the shit you say But as someone with an education in biology chemistry and organic chem i can add some knowledge to your on spot vid The issue with red meat (compared to white meat like chicken) is the Cholesterin in the meat, that gets absorbed into your body Your body itself reduces 90% of the required Cholesterin needed for hormone and cell production; however red meat is just the 5th week on the wagon. Red meat is not unhealthy, its just very high in Cholesterin so dont eat too much of that Having lots of Cholesterin /cholesterol in your blood will lead to clogging in arteries -> heart attack, stroke & high blood pressure But if you eat enough goods fats (NO TRANSFATS THEY INCREASE COLESTERIN) like unsaturated fats, your body will produce HDL (high density lipoprotein) this is something that removes LDL(low density lipoprotein(precursor to artery clog) and clears your bloodstream. So if you eat a bunch of red meat; or saturated; or Trans fats (fried fats -> like chips fries or fried stuff in general) you are at a really high risk for heart disease, that’s the reason bodybuilders die so early, its hard for them to get lots of calories, they eat fats and red meat; next thing they know; high blood pressure, artery clog, organ failure and diabetis Thats the second dangerous nutrient group Carbs/sugars You will find carbs in everything -> they are your main energy source BUT if you boil it down All carbs are just sugar, just with different chain leight For example milk sugar (lactose) is a bond out of 2 sugars (2 glucose molecules bond together) Singular sugar like fruits (fructose) its basically sugar And carbohydrates -> Polysugars It’s basically a chain of sugar just around you might get diabetis aka a lack of Insulin (the molecule that binds sugar) Scenario: you eat sugar or carbs your stomach dissolves the sugar your guts take it into your bloodstream -> blood sugar lvl rises -> insulin start collecting the sugar access sugars and bonds it -> your sugar lvl goes back to normal BUT If your insulin lvl cant keep up Your entire system trips and falls Your body insulin production plumits and your sugar lvls stop getting regulated (diabetis type 2) Or your body already had a low amount of insulin and you suddenly feel diabetis (diabetis type 1) You might think „yeah then ill just stop eating sugar like chocolate and other sweets“ Does not matter Think about ANY white grain you can think of Wheat (white noodles, white bread) Rice (normal white rice) Those type of things have SHORT carbohydrate chains meaning they get dissolved really fast -> you get a really big spike in your bloodstream THE MOMENT ALL OF IT DISSOLVES And boom You can get diabetis from bulking on noodles or white rice Counter measure -> east more Fiber -> it slows down your absorption speed of the sugar Oh yeah and protein Has no sideffects You could eat as much protein you want every day Protein has no bad effect on your health It’s kinda funny Every food that’s easy to eat Is probably bad in one way or the other It’s actually quite a funny indicatior While you’re bulking and your tongue goes a bit white That means youre eating too much sugar since the fungus on your tongue feasts off your blood sugar Meaning you should cut some carbs People realised those things many years ago Thats why keto diets are popular I have lots of other things to say for example how insanely healthy fish is but it coasts like 21$/kg Just ask me in the comments I will awnser that Ps: this is not bro science but call me the Brofessor
I had a gastric sleeve surgery. And dropped from 360 to 290 pounds in 2 months after the surgery. Am exercising now and eating healthier than ever, and my general outlook on life has been drastically improved. Don’t make excuses, being fat is not healthy no matter what they say. Strive for a better and a healthier lifestyle,It will make you love life.
While hamburgers aren't necessarily bad for you, they can be completely neutral, not offering many healthy benefits. This is because these ingredients are often over-processed with stuff like emulsifiers and preservatives which can completely take out any vitamins or minerals. This is why you need to look who you're buying "healthy food" from. My dad has been eating healthy for almost 10 years now and he taught me how to eat healthy over my childhood
I am not part of the fat acceptance movements but I would like to say as an overweight person, I wish all this advice was coming from someone who was actually fat before and not skinny all their life, not because there's a problem but it's way more reassuring that things can get better. Anyways it was an Interesting and motivating video and you should keep up the good work 👍
Good video. I gained and lost a lot of weight from like mid 2020 to mid 2021. Strange thing is that i know very well that i used to be fat for a while, yet still get a little offended when someone compliments me for losing it for some reason.
As someone being a little overweight and only eating a meal a day(not dieting just not a hungry person) physical exercise is the key for fat loss, which is something I dont really do so why im still overweight. And if your overweight, eat rarely, and are a bit active but not losing than your not active enough! If your body is used to walking X distance with your current weight than your not going to lose walking that same distance everyday
@@moty333 kinda i guess but i feel like lately people see the word fat and immediately think of a morbidly obese 950 pound person, and immediately think the person is like insecure and their ribcage is about to burst or that the person promotes being obese if they dont wanna lose weight. idk i hope this doesn't come off as me acusing the video of doing that or you doing that but i felt like this matched the topic were talking about
Honestly, thank you so much. I'm 14 and I'm considered obese, and I have(but at the same time lack) motivation. I've been trying and putting effort into my exercise, but I lack the motivation to eat better. Although I'm getting multiple pieces of advice, this video pushed me further to eat better and work harder. Thank you!!
Ive been semi steadily losing weight for nearly 5 months now. What ive learned is it really is about your calories. Though, its easier to change your diet than exercising excessively for hours each day. (Which i did at the start, and is not good for you). Side note, it really is sooo expensive to eat healthy. So, unfortunately i do not eat as 'healthy' as would be recommended, but i do what i can afford to
Minor correction. There is a genetic aspect to being fat. Some people naturally have a much higher appetite then others. Meaning although the person is full they can and do still eat more because while they aren't hungry they also aren't satisfied with the meal
I always see a ton of videos of people saying like "oh, fat people are just lazy and undisciplined", but extremely rarely you hear people who lost a lot of weight say the same thing. I just think that people who never struggled with their weight say these things without any idea of how tough it can be for people who are fat
You support harassing people trying to have a healthy relationship with food so they can loose weight without feeling like shit? Why is this platform full of 10 year olds?
7:43 yes homemade ones where you made sure the butcher didn’t give you the garbage of the meat are not bad for you the McDonald’s one is bad for you. That one is just like 40% meat the rest is fat and the bad part of the meat
While I agree with most of this, some people genuinely do have different body proportions, I personally am stuck at 106 as an 18 yo 5'5 male, and I can't seem to raise it even with a proper diet. I've noticed that my weight gradually grows as I grow so who knows maybe I'll be 400 lbs at 50
the reason hamburgers are generally said to be unhealthy is because most people get hamburgers from mcdonalds and burger king etc. the kind of shit they put in their burgers is beyond me
Been working on it. I don't seem to be close being fat but I definitely want to change my eating habits and this video made me understand a bit more. Also don't forget to treat yourself at least once awhile. ;D
You don't need to treat yourself, your main dishes can be just as tasty while being healthy. Try putting fruit on your salads and cooking your pork chops with honey and sesame seeds.
As the second type of fat person (the one who'll joke around and won't get offended) I have been doing more phsyical activities as of recently to lose some pounds and I gotta say it feels better and I feel so much lighter. I'm not really watching what I eat but usually after I finish something to eat I go and do something active.
Aight, spot on video, except red meat is actually not great. The problem with it is the colesterol. People who live a sedentary life and eat a lot of red meat get heart disease at a crazy rate. Eating it every once in a while is fine, but you need to be working out too. Stick to chicken (more gains anyway) and you’ll avoid the issue. The Mediterranean diet (which stresses the elimination of red meat) came about because Greek people (and others from the region) ate a diet of mostly white meat and fish. Their populations have been observed to have significantly lower rates of heart disease. The reason it hasn’t been an issue until modern times is that the life expectancy was so short that the negative effects didn’t have time to make themselves apparent.
@@Korvinian4601 turkey would probably be the easiest to come by. Goose and duck would also be white meat if you want to go hunting. The Mediterranean diet I wrote of consists mainly of chicken, turkey, and fish for protein. Salmon and some other fish are often referred to as white meat, too.
Some of yall need to understand that a calorie deficit ≠ dieting. You can eat how you do pretty much now just less intake more output, and you'll start dropping. However, when you pair the two they go like bread and butter
how are there some diabetic peole who aren't morbidly obese? by fat you might mean like potbelly, and if that's the case, it's fine to be a little bit overweight that way i guess, because it doesn't turn you into a blob of skin
