For Brazilians, 7x1 was big at the time, but absolutely nothing compares in sports like the death of Ayrton Senna, the F1 driver. He was like a reallife hero, doing all sort of good things and then just die. Federal government decreed 3 days of mourning. I reccomend everyone to watch his documentary.
5:33 This guy is my countrys best footballer Christian Eriksen, during his first game of the euros he suffered a heart attack. He survived and now 6 months later he rehabilitates with his childhood team ready to make his comback.
i'm from Scotland/Alba (Ala-Pa) i was in tears when Eriksen collapsed and the news was coming through how bad his condition he was in ... and i'm a grown man and not a child
I'm really glad he is ok. But I remember back in 2004 Miklos Feher, a hungarian player playing for Benfica, who also had a heart attack during a game at the age of 24. Sadly, they couldn't save him that time. When I saw it happen again to Eriksen, I first thought it would be the same nightmare all over again.
I saw it live also, I was so shocked like everyone else. Good footballer. Thankfully he’s alive. Some have not survived on the pitch, Miklos Feher, Marc Vivien Foe just to name two. I remember Fabrice Muamba had the same problem which I also saw live, he survived but never played football again
Neymars' Brazil team played during the Olympics. So there's also football, as well as Basketball (NBA players representing their country). It's a different tournement from the World Cup or COPA America. All sports are included in Olympics basically.
"in the case of men’s Olympic soccer only, FIFA and the International Olympic Committee limit tournament participation to players who are 23 years of age and younger, with only three over-23 selections permitted on each roster (given the pandemic delay, that age cutoff was pushed to 24 for 2021). It’s also not mandatory that club teams release male players to their national teams for the men’s Olympic tournament" the oldest juniors age squad usually qualifies for olympics Under 21 or U21 national teams and when olympics start they are in that criteria 23 years or younger majority olympics aren't for male seniors so winning olympics at men doesn't mean much 3 seniors can participate but seniors probably want that vacation or the club doesn't let them not much money in football olympics at women there is no age restriction at olympics because women aren't that many
I saw the Eriksen clip live and it was such a surreal moment, at first I didn’t even realize it until the commentator mentioned it. Then, together with my parents, we watched it and for 30 Minutes no one knew the state of Eriksen, we just saw the medics and the team standing in a circle around him, so nobody can see it.
Kinda glad no one got to see it on the broadcast because no one wants to see that. They should've cut the broadcast and threw the game in respect of Eriksen and his team
The Olympics in football is considered an “amateur” event since it is limited to U23s (plus 3 seniors). The World Cup is still the biggest international football tournament.
The player that was on a picture in the middle of the pitch, was Emiliano Sala. He used to play for Fc Nantes and was bought by Cardiff City. He had arranged with a pilot to fly him over to wales to see or start moving to his new club but unfortunately most likely due to bad weather and a dodgy plane the plane went down over the english channel, neither the pilot or him made it.
11:34 the day Germany humilated Brazil 7:1 in World Cup semi final. As a german i can still feel the pain of brazilians. We sat in front of TV in disbelive too
I feel so weird as a Brazilian because at the time I laughed and chill about it xD. The worst one to me was the game before this one in which a player kneed Neymar in the back and there was a risk of being with legs disability.
Yes, the player collapsing on the field was this past summer in the Euro's...He's Denmark's talisman and start player and this was at home in front of the crowd. His teammate was first to him and started CPR on the field and then the trainers took over and saved his life. The clip of the stadium was after they announced that he was alert in the hospital and OK and they started chanting his name. Just this past weekend he returned to the field for his first practice. It was extremely emotional. Denmark, with his blessing from the hospital, came out and finished that match, losing to Russia i think it was, but ended up having a strong tournament overall!
@@eldestructoged6492 Bro, I said I think....wasn't important enough to go look up who they were playing in that first game at the time of writing. then they made it to semi's before overtime loss so everything else is accurate
Erikson had a heartattack while playing. That was so heartbreaking cause he's not just a good player but he's such a good people. Am happy that he's still here with us.
Ayeee jayyy and Sophia you the best and always uploading a banger of a video and i can't wait to collab with you guys one day and you guys are the best and the Goats of RU-vid and you both are my favorite RU-vidrs that's why you guys inspire me so much and what's why I love you guys so much 🐐❤️
The player at 06:00 was basically signed by Cardiff in the Premier League from Nantes FC. It was Cardiffs biggest signing in their history, but unfortunately during his travel to cardiff in an airplane, the plane crashed and he died.
Cristian erikson who collapsed and had o cardiac arrest on the field has just signed for Brentford in the premier League, most other teams wouldn't touch him incase it happened again but you have to respect Brentford for giving erikson the chance to show hes unbelievable talent again. It should be Erikson's choice if he wants to play again and as he's 1 of the best attacking/creative midfielders in the world and I'm glad he's back
The Person who fell down is called Christian Erikson in Euro 2020 he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch in the Demark vs Finland game as everyone chanted his name ,thankfully he is alive also he could be allowed to play football again next season, Keep up the Great Videos as always
4:36 all sportsmen consider Olympic gold medal as a biggest sports reward and honour. Olympic games are all not about money but the glory. That's what it means to them.
in the last clip, even we germans were like stop it after the like 4th goal, its enough, we won ofc we are proud for that historical victory but at same time we were feeling brazilians... its realy hard to explain
13:40 yh that's fax from everything I've seen and heard in RU-vid vids and also from friends who've been to America that country juss sounds toxic. everyone there juss care about money
The football player collapsing had a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated. What was beautiful was the respect and honor shown to him by the opposing team's fans by shouting his name at the stands afterwards. A truly beautiful display of respect towards a player playing against their own team.
Football in the olympics = usually the 2nd team or the youth teams are playing there, but in this case brazil felt the urge to prove something and went there with their best starting 11, after they lost against germany in the wc14 semis
The difference between the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics is that one the players would chop of their arm to win, the other they would chop their arm off not to get picked, the over 23's that is.
AND THAT'S WAS THE MOMENT HE KNOWS HE F**KED UP, BUT HE TRIED TO SAVE HIS A** ON THE END🤣😂🤣😂 . Come on Bro 🤣😂🤣😂, forgive him girl he's stupid 🤣😂🤣😂. Much love to both of you 💯❤❤❤
Difference between the World Cup and the Olympics is comparable to the situation around the NBA before Dream Team I and after. Before Dream Team I it was just about college athletes getting a chance to prove themselves after it was the best possible US team to display the highest lvl of basketball in the world. For Football in the Olympics you gotta have 23 year olds and younger + max 3 players of any age.
At 5:27 Christian Eriksen of Denmark passed out because his heart stopped beating. He was dead for a time I don’t how long and the medics did heart massages and bring him back to life. That was all life in TV. And nobody knows what was going on and then people saw small footages of the medics trying to revive him without success and everyone thought he was dead but then like an hour after that happened their appeared footage of him getting carried out of the stadium with that oxygen mask. For an hour everyone thought he’s dead. Later it was revealed that he’s still alive in the hospital but the chances aren’t very high that he will survive. That was in June and July and just some days ago he started training again. He know has one of these machines to his heart and he’s on good way to live a normal life
Ugh, I remember when Christian Erikson went into Cardiac arrest. I was looking down at my phone when I heard the comintators say "Erikson has gone down" and because he played for a team I hate and he also scored like a haricot against Ireland to stop us getting to the world cup so I laughed when I herd it but then when I looked up at what was happening on the screen my face just absolutly sank and I felt so awful instantly. I was shaking when he was stretchered off the pitch 😶
Olympic football is a less attractive version of FIFA World Cup. In olympic football , a country can only have max 3 players above age 23 in their team. So it’s more of like a U23 World Cup.
@@kingdomloco 1. Sorry didn’t knew that until yet. 2. Besides the European and South American champion, the confed cup is a pretty weak competition. Nobody cares about the Asian, African or Oceanic champion. The Olympic Games in Rio 2016 when Brazil beat Germany in the Finals with Neymar was waaaay more popular than the confed cup 2017. Easily.
Yes, but in this case it was important for Brazil because Brazil had never won gold in the Olympics, now there is not a trophy that the Brazilian team has not won
The Olympic tournament is, essentially, a U-23 (under age 23) tournament, though each country is allowed to bring (I believe) two players over the age of 23 on their rosters. The World Cup is Senior teams.
First, and most importantly, the Dane player who collapsed has "recovered". Christian Erikson, top level EPL player, suffered a cardiac event and has since retired from football. A true talent with many years left to play, but time to focus on family and health. He has enough money to never work again and take care of them all. Olympics and World Cup are both national teams, but Olympics are for U23 players. I believe they can add a few senior players to the roster, but yea, it's mostly younger players. WC, as you know, is whoever the best players you have, use em lol. It's nice they are on opposite schedules so we get a global tournament every 2 years.
Football in the Olympics is only for players bellow 23 years of age (each country can take 3 players above that age). The world cup is where you can have all the greatest players competing.
Football is one many disciplines in the Olympics the same way basketball and baseball are but they aren't sponsored by FIFA. So for the Olympics the football team are formed by their under 23 players and 3 veteran players. The last nations to win gold medals were Brazil (Tokyo 2020 and Rio De Janeiro 2016) and Mexico (London 2012). The Fifa world cup has nothing do the Olympic games.
The difference between the football/soccer olympics and the FIFA World Cup is that in the Olympics, the players must be 23 years old or younger, with only 3 players being 24 years old or more.
The wthe main diference between the world cup and the Olympics is the ages of the players in the World cup theres no age restriction in the Olympics each team is only allowed to have 3 players whos age is more than 23yo. Emiliano Sala died in a plane crash while flying to Italy to sign contract with an Italian team. And Christian Erikson suffered a heart attack in the middle of the match.
Football in the olympics is only for U23 Squads so nobody really about it outside of us Brazilians because we had 5 World Cups but some how 0 golds in football until that 2016 victory. Everyone gets hyped for the World Cup tho. That’s the biggest sports competition in THE WORLD.
World cup is just for one sport, like only for football, Olympics are for many sports compete in one event during a month or so, 2 the player that fall had a heart attack during the official match, he is a captain of Denmark national football team, thx god he is alive, but they took him directly to hospital and no one knew if he gonna make it or not, 3 Amilio was a young Argentinian talent who signed a new contract with a club in England, but his airplane crashed when he was moving to England, he sadly passed away, any way these are mostly American and European happy moments, still nice to see and makes me happy but I wish it was included whole world
