Long night was a perfect example of a mod that turned out good for it's time,but as the years went on and more zombie mods came after it you can see some fixed or improved some aspects that lacked in long night which made it okay, i remember the story was simple to understand because the whole point of it was escaping because of the apocalypse and the bikers trying to take over the city but you also get to do character pov on how they survived which gave them a little bit of character development.

it truly boggles me that people still even talk about these mods for gta vice city, not only is vice city so old, but these mods are like super obsolete, I remember playing the CD version of the Long night with all its artwork on the disc back in like 2009 in the hot, internet less, northwest side of India after my cousins bought the game from some random shack which probably closed down years ago.

Saw bits of the mod early in a certain Discord server, figured something like this would happen. I mean even the name is a red flag and is practically inviting people to compare it to the Long Night, something which absolutely is not something that works in this mod's favour. I have a feeling that the reunited team will have the same thing happen again.

That Half-Life SFX threw me off completely, that's the final boss of the game calling out the protagonist's (last)name lol. If you know the context it's very nonsensical to be used here. Onto a serious thought: The comments about the dev team reuniting and falling apart constantly reminds me of something similar that happened on a different game community. Years ago there was a team developing a fighting fangame based on Yume Nikki called Dream vs Dream, its development suffered a lot of the same issues but mainly due to a lot of the members being in their early teens from what I heard. Regardless, I think this mod and that fangame show that in order to ever be successful with these types of projects you first gotta get to know the people you're working with AND how they work. Because the few people from DvD that established relationships did in fact find success later on by making the indie game OneShot, which saw a commercial release and to this day still has a modest community that you can sometimes stumble upon on. If The Darkest Night (or whatever they decide calling it) is to ever happen, they're first gonna have to spend some time together. Not immediately rush onto making progress and releasing content.

For a moment I thought that Rockstar made them delete the mod. Kind of glad it's not the case.

yo, its the dev, i gotta explain something first: this mod was never actually meant to be released, back in 2022 it was supposed to be a Z mod without a storyline. i thought i'd do something with the mod but i was too lazy to check the bugs out, i released a different zombie mod, but this mod now is getting reworked on, then i plan to do more mods.

I dont remember what it was called, but I played some zombie VC mod and the dude added swimming underwater with a functional breath meter, I kept crashing before i could figure out what would happen if i ran out of oxygen

How can you say that about the challenge though? The mod creator has updated the mod 20 or so times. And it doesn't crash a lot.

Short, pointless missions. A lot of them could be fixed by combining them together. Instead of "go from A to B" in one mission, and "Kill two dudes" in second mission, it could be one mission. It's still not a very good mission, but it would be an improvement.

Honestly if I made a mod like this I would of written my plot first and attempted to put voice acting and maybe motion capture in if that’s possible..

Don't take this the wrong way Ben, but your Thumbnails aren't appealing at all. Your content is a banger, but the thumbnail is what's holding you back. Most of your thumbnails contain text that is unappealing to read, it doesn't seperate from your backgrounds And speaking of backgrounds, it's either too dark or not interesting/connected to the video enough. Hope this helps

This streamer seems to be a bit ungrateful and entitled. We get that you played every mod since 1987 but you don't even have the idea of trying to find and point out literally ANYTHING positive about the thing you use for YOUR "content creation".
